Ge Qingyun said: "To be honest, the condition of the Song Dynasty edition of "Tongjian Chronicles" that I collected may not be very good, but I think it should be equivalent to the value of this luminous pearl. I wonder what Mr. Meng's opinion is?"

After all, the ancient books printed in the Song Dynasty are relatively rare, and there is still a large piece of the Luminous Pearl. Even if this small sample is transferred to Ge Qingyun, it will not hurt. Therefore, Meng Zitao had nothing to hesitate and immediately agreed.

Afterwards, a group of people took a car to Ge Qingyun¡¯s house. Since they were not familiar with Ge Qingyun, and antique trading was relatively private, Meng Zitao and Da Jun went there.

Ge Qingyun is a relatively talkative person, and he chatted a lot with Meng Zitao along the way.

To be honest, Meng Zitao feels that the Song Dynasty edition of "Tongjian Chronicles" is also very precious. If the condition is slightly better, it will be as precious as his Luminous Pearl sample.

As for whether it was because of poor quality, Ge Qingyun proposed the exchange.  Meng Zitao thinks this is impossible, because Ge Qingyun should know that he will not agree if the appearance is too bad, it is a complete waste of time.

Ge Qingyun¡¯s explanation is also simple. He said that there are not many priceless treasures in the world. These priceless treasures are either collected in museums and cannot be bought if you have money.  As for the remaining ones collected by the private sector, you can buy them if you want. If they are not worth millions, tens of millions, or hundreds of millions, there is no need to discuss them at all.

But then again, take our country as an example, how many people can spend millions to buy a treasure without affecting their normal life?  Not to mention spending millions, not many people can pay off the entire amount at once when buying a house worth hundreds of thousands.

Ge Qingyun said that if he bought it with money, he wouldn't have enough money to buy the Night Pearl.  Although "Tongjian Chronicles" is also very precious, the status of Ye Mingzhu in his mind is higher than "Tongjian Chronicles", so he made this decision.

Ge Qingyun led Meng Zitao and Da Jun into his house. Meng Zitao entered the house and saw that it was a two-story house. He couldn't help but said: "Mr. Ge, is your house a duplex structure?"

Ge Qingyun explained with a smile: ¡°People usually refer to all non-flat-floor residences as duplex buildings, but in fact, there are strict distinctions between houses with upper and lower floors like this.¡±

"In fact, duplex houses do not have a complete two-story space. In fact, a mezzanine is added to the higher floor, where bedrooms or studies are arranged, and stairs are used to connect the upper and lower floors. However, the state stipulates that the internal space should be higher than 2.8 meters  is considered the area of ??the house, so be sure to pay attention when buying.¡±

"My house is actually called a split-level house. It occupies two complete floors above and below a building. There is only one main entrance on the lower floor. The bedrooms, living room, living room, bathroom, kitchen and other auxiliary rooms can be arranged in layers.  , there is a partition between the upper and lower floors, connected by a separate small staircase.¡±

Meng Zitao suddenly said: "Oh, it seems that the duplex house I thought before is actually a double-floor house. I have learned a lot this time."

Ge Qingyun took everyone to the living room and said: "I think it is because some sales staff deliberately spread wrong opinions, causing misunderstandings among ordinary people."

Meng Zitao understood the meaning of Ge Qingyun's words. If the salesperson introduces wrong views to consumers, they can make mistakes in terms of area and price when they purchase a duplex building.

Ge Qingyun invited Meng Zitao and Da Jun to sit down and poured tea for them: "You two, wait a moment, I'll get the things down."

    "OK."

Ge Qingyun went upstairs to get something. Meng Zitao looked around and found that there were photos of Ge Qingyun's family hanging in several places around the living room, including several photos of Ge Qingyun dancing. From this, it seems that Ge Qingyun should  Is a dance lover.

After a while, Ge Qingyun came down from upstairs holding a wooden box.  Walking back to his seat, he was polite at first, then opened the box, revealing dozens of ancient books in the box.

Ge Qingyun said that this set of "Tongjian Chronicles" has thirty-three volumes. He obtained it through a friend last year and passed expert appraisal.

The original "Tongjian Chronicles" has forty-two volumes, so this set of ancient books is not complete, but even if it is not complete, it is quite precious if it is authentic.

After receiving Ge Qingyun¡¯s consent, Meng Zitao put on his gloves and carefully took out the ancient books in the box and began to identify them.

There are two extant editions of "Tongjian Chronicles": one is the Xiang edition of Yanling County in the second year of Chunxi of the Song Dynasty (1175).  There are thirteen lines per half-page, ranging from twenty-four to thirty characters per line, with many characters in small characters. It was later called the small-character version, or the Yanzhou version.  The second is Zhao Yuben in the fifth year of Song Baoyou's reign (1257).  BaoyouWhen Zhao Yu lived in Huzhou in the 1980s, he suffered from the small and incorrect characters of Yanzhou's original version. However, he changed it to large characters and reengraved it with his own money. This is the original version, later called the large character version.

This set of "Tongjian Chronicles" is from the fifth year of Song Baoyou (1257) written by Zhao Yu. It is in pretty good condition. If it is genuine, it will be consistent with the value of his luminous pearl sample.

This set of ancient books is in butterfly binding. The so-called butterfly binding is to fold the page with the printed text inward, align the pages of the book with the middle seam as the standard, stick it to another piece of paper with rough paste, and finally cut it neatly and bind it.  When the butterfly-bound book is opened, the back side without words is always facing out and the front side with words is facing in.

This binding style makes people feel that the leaves of the book are fluttering like butterflies when reading, so this binding style is called butterfly binding.

In fact, the books we read today can also be called butterfly costumes.  But in the Song Dynasty, this kind of binding appeared for the first time, and people thought it was fresh, so they gave it such a name.

A butterfly-bound edition is one page, and there is no book edge like a thread-bound book, so the text is not easily damaged.  However, since it is only connected by the middle seam, it is glued with thick paste.  Therefore, if such a book is read frequently, the pages will easily fall off.

This set of "Tongjian Chronicles" has such a shortcoming. Some of the booklets have fallen off, so you must be very careful when turning them.

From this point of view, this set of ancient books is indeed very similar to the original. Not only these, but also some details are very similar to the original. After a cursory observation, Meng Zitao almost believed that this was the original.

However, when Meng Zitao saw the seal of a Ming Dynasty collector in ancient books, he still had clues, because he had seen the real seal of this collector from his master, and the difference was quite large.  The styles are all different and must be fake.

Of course, in the actual appraisal process, we cannot conclude that the ancient books must be wrong just because of this. But with this breakthrough, Meng Zitao found more and more errors in the subsequent appraisal (Remember  Website address: www.hlnovel.com
