    Author: Shi Yuchun

Young people live in the present, so their life is full of ideals, dreams and fantasies. What they focus on is the present, present and future.

Old people live in the past, so their minds are full of memories, and scenes of the past will be played back in front of them from time to time.

I am thirty years old now, and I feel a little "old".

The ancients said: "My parents are here, don't say I am old." I have never said such unworthy words in front of my parents, but in front of my classmates and friends, I will often say: "I am old!".  Although I am not like the "children with gaping teeth" as Han Yu said now, I really feel that I am a little "old".  Saying this is not talking nonsense, nor is it pretending to be deep.  There is a basis for saying this: that is, in me, there is always the phenomenon of playing movies in my mind of all the past.

Today, I don't know what touched me, but I remembered the scene at Baotou Railway Station that year.

I can still clearly remember that time, in order to settle down in life, I traveled from Xiamen to Fuzhou, from Fuzhou to Qingdao, from Qingdao to Beijing, and from Beijing to Baotou, on the train for five or six days in a row.  At that time, it was just in time for the students to go on summer vacation, and the train was very, very crowded.  Because I was short of money and I was in a hurry, I had to buy a platform ticket every time to get on the train, and then make up for the station ticket on the bus.  Along the way, most of the time, there are no seats, only standing.  After standing for a long time, I couldn't bear it, so I just squatted in the aisle for a while.  Or, when others are leaving, I lean on other people's seats and sit for a while.  After going through this for two or three days, I was so sleepy that I could doze off even standing up.

On the train to Beijing, a woman sitting next to me laughed at me and said:

"I think you are really amazing. You can sleep sitting, squatting, and standing!"

"I haven't rested for several days."

I can only answer with a wry smile.

After wandering around Baotou for a while, nothing came to fruition, so I bought a ticket and stayed at the station.  It was still early, and I didn't have the strength to go shopping, so I just sat on the seat in the waiting room.  Fortunately, there were very few people at Baotou Railway Station, so I found a seat and settled down, and within a few minutes, I entered the land of nothing in a daze.

Although I didn't sleep for long, after waking up, I felt much better.  Too lazy to move, I continued to sit in my seat in a daze.

Opposite the seat where I sat, there were three people: a young woman, a six or seven-year-old boy wearing glasses, and a three-year-old boy.

The woman told the six or seven-year-old boy what to watch out for in the car, as if to send the boy out.

The child wearing glasses is holding a colorful book in his hand, reading it seriously, and occasionally nodding his head, not knowing whether he is responding to the woman's advice or approving the contents of the book.

The three-year-old boy was swinging back and forth around the seat with food in his hand.

The three-year-old guy is very cute. When a student-looking girl passed by her seat, she was fascinated by his cuteness. She handed him a jelly, and the little guy accepted it unambiguously.  .

The woman saw it from the side, and said to the little guy:

    "Thank you sister!"

    "Thank you sister!"

The little guy was talking naively, and ran away again without idling on his feet.

    "So cute!"

The girl wanted to touch that cute little face, but he ran away.

I kept staring at the little guy, and he seemed to realize it.  After running around the woman's seat for a while, the little guy ran up to me with a lollipop in one hand and the jelly the girl gave him in the other.  He smiled and asked me:

    "Do you eat?"

First give me the half-eaten jelly.

    I smiled and said:

    "Thank you, eat it yourself!"

After finishing speaking, I shook my hand to signal that I don't want it.

The cute little guy didn't leave, and took out the lollipop he was eating from his mouth and handed it to me.  I said:

    "Eat it yourself"

Seeing that I really don't want it, the little guy ran away.

At that moment, my heart suddenly moved, and a warm current filled my heart.

Baotou is already blurred in my memory, but the little guy at the station often flashes in my mind.
