A fragment of the movie "Nanjing"

One rainy afternoon, a friend made an appointment to go to the movies.

On the phone, he said that the title of the film is "Nanjing".  As for how to write these two words, I am at a loss.

In the movie theater, there were very few people and the seats were empty.

When we went in, the movie had already started for two or three minutes.

After sitting down and watching it, I realized that this is a documentary about the Nanjing Massacre made by foreigners.

Several parties involved in the war of that year introduced the situation of the war one by one, in order of time, and described in a diary style. These parties appeared interspersed.

These parties include Chinese survivors of the massacre, several foreign missionaries and doctors who were in China during the war, and Nazis who committed violence during the war In the film, they recalled the war of that year.  It is said that many of the materials used in the reminiscence clips of these parties in the film are preserved and real war scenes that were actually filmed back then.

Human emotions are interlinked.  Individuals have different reasons for the onset of pain, love, joy, happiness, anger, resentment, and many other emotions, and they express them in different ways. However, for each individual, how they feel about these emotions should be  it's the same.

Regarding war, many people who have experienced it or have not experienced it know its horror and terror.  However, there are also some people who do not know the pain of the war because they have not experienced the war. Therefore, in the peaceful age, among these people, there are quite a few people who maintain a playful attitude towards the war.

The occurrence of war has its specific time and space and reasons.  However, it must be understood that the outbreak of war is not unrelated to the clamor and incitement of some people. Although their behavior is not the direct trigger of the war, their actions are often the catalyst for the outbreak of the war.  .  These catalysts can accelerate the start and advancement of wars, and make wars spread and expand.

Since the existence of human beings, the alarm bells of war seem to have never stopped.  At the same time, everyone has seen it, and the war has never stopped.

Perhaps, human beings will lead themselves to destruction.  It is guessed that the destruction of human beings is not due to the shortage of resources, not because of suffering from illness, but probably because of war.  Who knows?  Maybe one day, the nuclear button will be mastered by a lunatic who is in the incubation period of psychosis. He suddenly goes berserk without warning, and before everyone has time to stop him, he has already done it.  Before the event, all people, together with the earth, became flying dust in the universe.

Regarding war, when it is at a low stage, ordinary people are used as cannon fodder, because at this stage, the powerful have a place to hide, and the rich have a place to escape.  When the war develops to an advanced stage, everyone is equal: you can destroy me, and I can destroy you. Together, you and I can destroy this planet. At that time, no one will have any way out.

The reason why I have said so much about war is not for other reasons. I just hope that everyone can oppose war, or at least not desire war.  You know, I, a countryman, have always believed that, as ordinary people, the ancients said it very well:

"When it prospers, the people suffer; when it dies, the people suffer."

At this time, you can go back to the scene of the movie.  Check out "Nanjing"!  Before the city was about to fall, those dignitaries, those rich and powerful people had news and knowledge, so those who could escape basically evacuated in advance.  After the Japanese Occupation, who were left behind, who were ravaged, murdered, and slaughtered?  Aren't the vast majority of them all ordinary people?

For those compatriots who died, how should we commemorate them?

Everything in "Nanjing" has happened many years ago.  From the perspective of reality, or from the perspective of the film, what do we want to get from here?

    Is it tears?

    Is it hatred?

Tears and hatred are things that cannot solve problems.  If you only stay on these two, in the near future, what may be staged is:

    "Tokyo"

Perhaps, this is the dream of some people.

    But what about after "Tokyo"?

You can think about after "Nanjing"!

Remembering wars and history is not for hatred, because, in many cases, hatred will be dispelled into nothingness by true feelings or falsehoods.

Remember history, remember war, not for hatred, because, many times, hatred will be used, magnified for no reason, or smoothed out lightly.

Remember the war, remember the history, don't??For tolerance, because some things simply cannot be tolerated.

Remembering history and war is not for tolerance, because, sometimes, tolerance is the indulgence of tyrants.

Anti-war is not for the sake of surviving.

Anti-war just wants us to be self-aware, introspective, not to be manipulated by others, and not to manipulate others.

Anti-war means that we do not start wars and invade others; it means that others dare not start wars and harm us

Remember, in the history of mankind, there have been many large and small "Nanjing".

Remember, on the way of human progress, peaceful humanity and war animality are still intertwined and fighting each other.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
