    ?

It is the time when school ends in the evening at Hangcheng Middle School.  Pei Jing was busy tidying up the books on the table. She was used to smoothing out the curled books, and then pinning notes on the inside pages of the books to check the progress of her daily study.

Pei Jing always pursed her mouth, lowered her face, and was alone on the way home.  She didn't know what to say if she saw her father when she got home today She had a fight with her father, and she had been deliberately cold war without speaking for a week.

Back home, Pei Jing was still awkward, and went into the room after only a couple bites of dinner.  After tossing and turning all night, she didn't hear the sound of her father returning home.  She really couldn't understand, why did her father always regard work as more important than this family?

Even though people around her always told her to understand her father more and be considerate of his difficulties, Pei Jing still couldn't let go.  Just one month ago, my mother was hospitalized for surgery in Hangzhou Second Hospital because of peritonitis caused by acute appendicitis.

However, on the day of the operation, my father did not show up to see my mother.  He just told Pei Jing on the phone that there is an urgent patient who needs to be treated, and he has no way to rush over.

At that time, Pei Jing was alone, leaning against the cold wall outside the operating room, staring blankly at the light sign at the door of the operating room.  When the operation was over and her mother was pushed out, she didn't dare to tell the truth to her mother. She just made up a lie to comfort her mother, saying that her father had come and gone.

When talking, Pei Jing felt a little bit bitter in her heart, she hoped that her father could come to see her mother and see her.  She really didn't know how she made it through the hours of surgery.

When her mother was finally discharged from the hospital and returned home, when she saw her father rushing back at home, Pei Jing undoubtedly had mixed feelings in her heart.

"Jing'er, I'm leaving for Guangcheng soon. The SARS situation there is very serious and there is no need to delay. Just now I went to see your mother in the room. I haven't woken up yet, so I won't disturb her. Now I leave the passbook to you.  The password is your birthday, you can go to the bank to get it if you need it." Pei Zhen said suddenly.

"Guangcheng?" Pei Jing stared at her father in astonishment. She couldn't believe it. After finally looking forward to her father's return, she actually told her that he was leaving again soon.

"I'm sorry for you, Jing'er You have grown up and become sensible. Take care of your mother and yourself." Pei Zhen only left behind a tall and tall figure for Pei Jing, and soon disappeared  at the corner.

Pei Jing stood there in a daze, her hands tightly holding the passbook with her father's name written on it.  She was so excited that her face turned purple, she was so angry.

In the months after her father left, she rarely heard from him again.  Even if I saw my father occasionally, it was on the news pictures in the newspaper.  Fortunately, after being discharged from the hospital, my mother recovered well, and life seemed to return to normal soon.

One night, a phone call from Li Yucai came home, and the sad news of his father's sudden death came out of nowhere, which completely shattered the lives of Pei Jing and his mother.

At the entrance of the city's funeral home, wreaths for memorial service were lined up on the street in groups.  In front of the mourning hall, Pei Jing raised her head and looked at the words "Dr. Pei Zhen Eternal" hanging above her. She felt a little vain under her feet, and couldn't help trembling along with it.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
