    ?

It was already late at night, and the filament of the incandescent lamp hanging in the corridor outside the ward suddenly blew out, and a small dim light bulb was replaced.  The lights were scattered little by little, and the smell of disinfectant and equipment mixed in the corridor, and even the smell of cold sweat from Qian Jian himself.

He subconsciously opened the small window at the end, and continued to be bored. He felt that he was about to be cooked by the endless anxiety in his heart.  The biting cold wind blows in from time to time, and it blows hard, with a "bang bang" sound.

There was a thick layer of frost on the edge of the glass. When Qian Jian retracted his hand, he felt as if he had been cut by the cold wind. It was half painful and half numb.

Pei Jing walked slowly from the other end of the corridor, holding a folder in her hand. This was a routine night round.  Seeing that Qian Jian was still there, Pei Jing opened her mouth in surprise, but she still tried her best to keep her pace light and try not to disturb him.

Qian Jian was leaning under the window, feeling drowsy, his arms supporting his head stiffly.  When he looked up and saw Pei Jing, his gloomy face trembled: "Doctor Pei"

Pei Jing nodded with a slight smile. She had seen so many vicissitudes in the emergency department in the past that even with just one look, she could still feel the fluctuations in Qian Jian's heart at this moment.  The patient's illness itself is very painful, and the psychological pressure on the accompanying family members of the patient is even heavier.

"I really don't know, should I tell my father that my second uncle has returned and even fell seriously ill" Qian Jian stared at the folder in Pei Jing's hand, seemingly helpless, and then  Like emotion.

Pei Jing clearly saw that his hand reached into his pocket, trembling, picking something up.  After a while, he took out a pack of tissues and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

"I know, you must be very busy now, and there are still many patients to see. But Dr. Pei, I really can't help it. I don't know what to do." Qian Jian murmured.

At this point, Pei Jing could roughly guess that the so-called relative lying in the ward was Qian Jian's second uncle, and there were still some unspeakable secrets in their family that were not known to outsiders.

The clear shadow extending on the white wall is silent. Pei Jing always wants to give Qian Jian proper respect, which is the professional ethics she has followed since she became a doctor.

Qian Jian sighed, and then glanced at Pei Jing. He was grateful to Pei Jing for treating his second uncle, and was willing to give him such patience and listen to him while he was still busy.

Qian Jian is still a clear-cut person, so to make a long story short, he casually talked about the past entanglements of the Qian family.  As Pei Jing listened, she felt that she could finally understand why Qian Luda's desire to die was so profound in the face of his illness after waking up.

He wanted to blow himself up to pieces, into scum, into pieces, wishing that he would disappear from this world forever.  The burden that has been with me for a lifetime like a shadow, I want to get rid of it through death.

I don't know why, but at this moment Pei Jing suddenly remembered her former self.  In the first few years of her father's death she had had such thoughts almost at night, too.  Regret and remorse are intertwined, and I wish I could follow in my father's footsteps and leave

"Thank you for sharing this story with me. I can't say that I can help you make a choice, but I also have a story that I want to share with you." Pei Jing looked at Qian Jian fixedly, and her thoughts drifted back to seventeen years  forward.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
