    ?

Today, Su Xiaoya led everyone to visit the Imperial Street of the Southern Song Dynasty. This street was a main street paved when Lin'an [Hangzhou] was made the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty.

They were having a good time, but it rained, and they had to go back home.

    [1] "Tianjingsha. Summer" Baipu. Sanqu

The clouds harvest the rain and the waves add up,

    Lougao water cold melon sweet,

Green trees shade the painted eaves.

The gauze kitchen rattan mat, the jade man's fan is light.

Just arrived at the house, but the rain has passed, and the sun has come out to laugh at their embarrassment.  The small river in front of the door has several layers of waves, and the rushing water exudes a pleasant coolness.

Su Xiaoya quickly ran into her room, opened the window facing the street and the river, and let the cool air enter her room.

Seeing that Ji Xu and the others had come back, Yu Rong hurriedly asked, "Aren't you drenched in the rain?"

    "so far so good."

Yu Rong immediately cut open a large watermelon[1] for them, and said, "Eat it while it's cool, I've been pulling it[2] out for you in the cold water."

Ji Xu put two pieces in a fruit plate and said, "I'll send it to Xiaoya."

Yu Rong asked: "Why, is she making trouble again?"

"No~" Ji Xu glanced at Zhang Jin and said, "I have something to tell her."

Arriving at Su Xiaoya's west wing room, the shade of a green tree in front of the room covers all the way to the eaves.  Ji Xu thought to himself: This Xiaoya is really hypocritical, how hot can the room be under such a big tree shade?  Why open your own back window?

Ji Xu stepped forward and knocked on the door.

Just heard Xiaoya shouting in the room: "The door is open, come in."

Ji Xu pushed the door and walked in, only to see Xiaoya lying on the rattan mat in the gauze tent, wearing light silk summer clothes, holding a fan, quietly enjoying the pleasant summer time.

Seeing Ji Xu coming in with a watermelon, Xiaoya got out of bed quickly.  He said on his mouth: "How can I let my uncle serve me fruit? Is it as you like?"

"She's coaxing your brother to play."

"Let her call me, won't it be enough? Why bother my uncle."

"I happen to have something to do with you."

    "What a good thing?"

"You eat the melon first, and eat it while it's cold."

Xiaoya picked up a piece, took a bite, and asked impatiently, "What's the matter, tell me quickly."

Ji Xu then told her about Zhang Jin's disapproval of Xiaoya's marriage proposal.

When Su Xiaoya heard this, she was annoyed, tears filled her eyes instantly, and asked, "He, why?"

"You swallow the melon in your mouth first."

Xiaoya casually spit out the melon, and put the melon in her hand on the plate.  Ask: "Why doesn't he agree?"

"He said that he is a white man, and he will not intermarry with foreigners."

"Baizi Is he white? Is he as white as I am? Don't look for reasons If you don't like it, just say you don't like it What is white, black"

"Ya'er, don't be petty, okay! Don't you know what Baizi means? Baizi is different from our beliefs, how can we combine?"

"What's the difference in belief? Don't make it up, they believe in Mahayana Buddhism and Taoism just like us."

"It's just that his ethnic group believes in the inherent religion of the tribe¡ªthe Lord." Ji Xu further explained to Zhang Jin, "He said, 'the Lord' is the highest god of a village or several villages, that is, '  The Lord of the Realm', the protector of the tribe. He is often revered as the God of Heaven, the Virgin, the Dragon King, the Emperor, the Empress, and the Prince"

"It's got to be What is it about the emperor's mother, the prince I married Zhang Jin, I didn't want to be a princess for them"

"But his father is the leader of the tribe."

Su Xiaoya cried with snot and tears.

Maybe she was afraid that others would hear her cry, so she got up and closed the window, muttering, "I wanted to keep the window for him, but I thought he could come tonight."

Ji Xu suddenly realized, and smiled: "Oh~ so you are the window reserved for Zhang Jin?"

"Yeahthey are baizidon't they just like to climb a window or something" Xiaoya cried more and more wronged, and the more wronged the more wronged, the girl's petty eyes came up, and she cried, "It's a waste of time  Since he doesn't want to, why stay at my house?"

Ji Xu asked cautiously: "You mean?"

"Tell him to move away quickly, why stay at my house Let him go home as soon as possible to be his prince"

    "But, but"

Xiaoya wiped her tears and asked: "But?Curled up on the bed in loose Tsing Yi.  The warm wind blew past, bringing with it the faint scent of sweat from the cool shirt.

Ji Xu came to Zhang Jin's room with a can of ice cubes mixed with shredded lotus root.

He woke Zhang Jin up and said, "Why didn't you just ask you to eat dinner? Are you still angry?" He gave Zhang Jin a bowl of shredded lotus root and handed it to him.

Zhang Jin took the small bowl.  Perhaps it was the small bowl of ice that chilled Zhang Jin's ruddy hands.  He picked up a shredded lotus root and put it in his mouth.

Seeing Zhang Jin eating shredded lotus root in a gentle manner, Ji Xu couldn't help but think of his fierce appearance when he and Xiaoya "fighted chicken" just now, so he couldn't help laughing.

Zhang Jin raised his head and asked, "What are you laughing at~"

Ji Xu said: "Laugh at the shredded lotus root in your bowl, it's too long."

Zhang Jinbai glanced at Ji Xu, and while eating the long silk lotus root, he laughed and said, "What kind of poor relatives are you"

    Notes

    [1] Watermelon

China is the world's largest producer of watermelon, but there are different opinions about the origin of watermelon.

One theory comes from the legend of Shennong tasting herbs. It is said that watermelon was discovered when Shennong was tasting herbs.

The more popular view is that the native place of watermelon is in Africa. It was originally a wild plant of Cucurbitaceae, and it was artificially cultivated to become edible watermelon.  As early as 4,000 years ago, the Egyptians planted watermelon, and then gradually moved northward, initially from the Mediterranean coast to northern Europe, and then went south to the Middle East, India and other places. In the 4th and 5th centuries, it was introduced to China from the Western Regions, so it is called  "watermelon".

According to the Ming Dynasty scientist Xu Guangqi's "Nongzheng Quanshu" records: "Watermelons are grown in the Western Regions, hence the name."

Li Shizhen of the Ming Dynasty recorded in "Compendium of Materia Medica": "According to Hu Jiao's melon seeds in Huihe, they are called watermelons. Watermelons have entered China since the Five Dynasties; they are found in both north and south today."

This shows that the cultivation of watermelons in China has a long history.  In the past, someone quoted Song Dynasty Ouyang Xiu's "New History of the Five Dynasties. Siyi Appendix" as saying: Hu Qiao, the magistrate of Heyang County in the same state of the Five Dynasties, entered Khitan and "began to eat watermelon".  It is as big as Chinese wax gourd and sweet in taste".

In the Ming Dynasty, Li Shizhen pointed out in "Compendium of Materia Medica" that watermelon is also known as cold melon.  "Tao Hongjing (a person from the Southern and Northern Dynasties) noted that Yongjia (Jinhuai Emperor's Year) had a cold melon that was so big that it could be hidden until the sound of spring, that is to say. The first melon seeds in the Five Dynasties have entered eastern Zhejiang, but there is no name for watermelon.  , not all over China."

"Southern History. Biography of Teng Tangong" said that Tan Gong was "five years old, and his mother Yang suffered from fever, and wanted to eat cold melon, which was not produced by local customs. Tan Gong could not get it in his previous visits, and his title was very sad. I met a Sangmen and asked him  Therefore, Tan Gong told him. Sangmen said: "I have two melons, and I will share one of them." I returned it to my mother, and the whole room was amazed. I searched for Sangmen, but I don't know where it is."

The nineteenth volume of "Youyang Zazu" by Duan Chengshi in the Tang Dynasty records Yinhou (Shen Yue)'s "Xingyuan" poem: "The cold melon is lying on the ridge, and the autumn cattail is full. The purple eggplant is rotten, and the green taro  They all vary." Judging from the poem's mention of the season when the cold melon is lying in the ridge, it is in line with the watermelon.

In addition, in old Beijing, the watermelon that came into the market first was called "water melon", and the watermelon that came on the market later was called "cold melon". Today, when I interviewed an old farmer, he also said that late watermelon is indeed called "cold melon".  It seems that the above documents can be corroborated with Li Shizhen's statement.  However, Li Shizhen's statement seems to have attracted no attention for hundreds of years.  In 1976, watermelon seeds were found in the silt of the Western Han Dynasty tomb in Guixian, Guangxi;  71).  This irrefutably proves the reliability of Li Shizhen's records.

    [2] pull out

?Basic meanings: pull out, pull out, suck out, select, elevate, exceed, rise above, change, seize military strongholds, put things in cold water to make them cool, etc.

Pulling cool means icy cold.  The "ba" in Baliang is actually a relic of the ancient Dangxiang language (Xixia language) in the Chinese dialect. When pronounced "ba", the original meaning is "ice", and some people have verified that it means "snow, snowflake".

Now people in some areas of Northwest China say something is very cool, and they will say: "xx is very straight", which means that this thing is very cool, and it is a daily expression.  Meaning in the Chinese dialect, this word is mainly used to express a feeling that an object that can feel the temperature through touch or direct contact is cool.

Therefore, when people in some areas say that the weather is cold in the morning, they will say: "The weather is very cold in the morning"; they will not say "The weather is very cold in the morning".  But it will say "this glass of water is very cold", which means "this glass of water is very cold".

After textual research, Xixia language has two main dialect families, one is the Shannan dialect and the other is the Shanbei dialect.

In the Shannan dialect, "Bing" is read as "Ba", and in the Shanbei dialect, "Bing" is read as "Wow".  Interestingly, the pronunciations of these two dialect systems have entered the Chinese dialect.  Therefore, in some places, there are people who are "cool in heart"; there are also people who are "cool in heart".  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com)??
