    Looking at Confucius' thoughts, he particularly emphasized the gentleman, so his requirements for the gentleman are bound to be higher than those for ordinary people.  But this "vessel" is something that everyone has, even some "shape" that everyone has, some kind of external expression.  Therefore, as a gentleman, you must stand out from the mediocre masses, so you must emphasize the matter of "not being a weapon" for a gentleman.

    A gentleman must not only surpass everyone, but also surpass the "vessel" in his body, which means to go to the level of "Tao".  Therefore, in general, the fourth explanation is more convincing.
