"Celestine Leo." From the alchemist's point of view, the other party didn't seem to have much joy.  "I never expected to meet you here. I almost wonder if we are back in Ayinbulo."

Barrels and boxes were stacked in the narrow cabin, and broken debris was piled in the corner.  An oil lamp hung on the deck of the ship overhead, emitting dim light.  In the low room, everyone was crowded together. Their bodies were soaked by sea water or sweat, their clothes were wet and clinging to their bodies, and their faces were pale and ashen-like.  They were so exhausted that most of them were lying on the ground as if they had completely fallen asleep, making one or two uncomfortable groans and twitching unconsciously from time to time.  []

The alchemist withdrew his gaze, "I didn't expect it either. I thought it would be someone else." He took a few steps closer to the other party, "But I didn't expect that not only the Thousand Faces Master, but also you would meet  .¡±

"The world is really too small. You are still there."

The alchemist frowned.  He didn't understand where the other party's malice toward him came from, and they always said bad words to each other. The hostility on Brand's face was obvious, with disgust and countless sarcasm, sentence after sentence.

Even the captain on the side couldn't help but ask, "Is he your enemy, White Devil?" The captain sneered and said, "If so, you should leave and leave him to us. Don't let your  Good intentions run rampant and cause us trouble.¡±

"He doesn't mean what he says," said the alchemist.

"I can't see it." Mr. Captain reminded him, "Don't forget the agreement we reached. Don't use your chattering language to discuss how to escape. I will keep an eye on you, white devil."

"If I do this, you can come to the castle to find me, sir."

The captain snorted in embarrassment and did not answer.

"Ha, what did you say, Celestine Leo?" Brand looked at him sideways, his bloodshot eyes full of teasing and sarcasm, "What are you going to do with us? Throw us into the dungeon.  , or executed on the spot, or burned at the stake? I really can¡¯t see that you can be a guest anywhere."

Is he mocking or jealous?  Maybe a bit of both, Leo thought.  "You should act more friendly. Be less paranoid about persecution." The alchemist told him.

"But other than that, what are you here for?" Brand pulled the robe underneath him and pressed his back against the bulkhead, struggling to make himself more comfortable.  "Are you here to laugh at us, or to highlight and demonstrate your superiority? I really can't think of anything else."

Is there something wrong with my brain?  Or are you just eating and having nothing to do and are you here just to listen to his cynicism?  "Put away your hostility, Brand!" The alchemist growled angrily, "I should really let them tie you up and put a pair of smelly socks in your mouth. I think there is no shortage of anything here.  .¡±

¡°Then come on, get out of here as soon as you¡¯re done.¡± Brand snorted coldly.

Leo could no longer control his anger.  He took a step forward, grabbed him by the collar, and yelled at him face to face, "Stop being so fucking self-righteous. Do you really think everyone is out to kill you? If I wanted to harm you, I wouldn't follow you at all."  Nonsense." He threw Brand to the ground, "Listen clearly, I came to save you out of my own fucking self."

Brand fell to the ground, and the pain prompted him to grit his teeth but resisted making a sound.  He stubbornly raised his head and stared at Leo, sneered and said, "Really? I won't be grateful to you either."

    ¡°I didn¡¯t expect that¡ª¡ª¡±

"Brand" Next to the black-haired alchemist, his companion groaned softly and said weakly, "Where are you?"

"I'm right here. I'm right here." Brand endured the pain and moved to the wall, hugging his companion. "You finally woke up. Do you feel better?"

Leo suddenly felt as if he had become a villain, the villain in the novel.  Only then did he notice that the guy with his head buried in the shadows and whose face was almost invisible seemed to be called Dika - if he remembered correctly, that was his name.  From the beginning, the slightly fat alchemist apprentice has been by Brand's side.  But now, Li Ou couldn't see any of his previous appearance.  His body was thin, with sunken eye sockets, and only skin and bones were left on his body, making him look like a skeleton.

    "I'm cold," he said.

"I'm here." Brand suddenly choked up while holding Dika.  "Hold on, hold on a little longer, and I will find the doctor."

Leo glanced at the captain next to him, thinking that no one would heal us white devils.  "Take them out," the alchemist said to the captain, "they can't stay here any longer."

"You mean-" The captain suddenly became panicked.

The light was so dim that Leo finally noticed that there were shallow puddles in the shadow of the cabin, and the tentacles of the water plants inside were stretching. Everything was exactly the same as what he had experienced.  Those people seemed to be dead, with only weak breathing left to linger.  Their faces were pale and their bodies were swollen, as if they were the drowned water ghosts they had encountered in Thousand Lakes City. The small room was filled with the fishy smell of the ocean.

"Maybe I'm overly worried," the alchemist wasn't 100% sure, "but be prepared."

The captain swallowed, tremblingly, he grabbed the hilt of his sword and shouted "Guard".  However, this caused a misunderstanding, and Brand immediately became wary, as if Leo would kill him in the next second.  The remaining conscious people struggled to sit up.  They all had their brains eaten by monsters and didn't even understand that he was trying to save them?

"Celestine? Leo, are you going to kill us?" Brand leaned against the bulkhead and stared at him angrily.  His weapons had been taken away by the soldiers, and now he was defenseless, hungry, thirsty, and weak, unable to resist.  "Is this the help you're talking about?"

Li Ou was furious.  How come this guy can't even tell the difference between good and bad? Could it be that his brain was burned out by the sun at sea, or that he was betrayed to the point where he doesn't even have the simplest trust?  "Damn it, I won't hurt you." He growled at him angrily, "Brand, follow us out of this damn cabin. You should go and bask in the sun."

"Baking in the sun?" Brand's hair stood on end like an angry cat.  "Do you think we are just salted fish in the cabin, or are we dragged out and executed in public?"

"Don't, don't talk nonsense with them." The captain urged, and he loudly called for reinforcements from his men.  The sound of boots on the ship's planks echoed in my ears, and a column of soldiers poured into the cabin and filled the aisles.  However, Leo stopped him.

¡°Let them out, do you want to trap yourself to death?¡±

    "but¡ª¡ª"

"Look, the sword is flashing, and the face is ferocious. You want to kill me with one knife." Brand stared at the soldier standing at the door and sneered, "You still dare to say that you are helping us? Are you helping us to meet the God of Death?"

This idiot!  The alchemist really wanted him to meet the damn gods now!  "Shut your mouth and think carefully with your dog brain!" Leo shouted angrily, and he almost couldn't resist the urge to draw his sword.  "You are also a fucking alchemist. Feel your surroundings. Is your head covered with seaweed? You didn't even notice"

"Whatfound" Before he could finish his words, his expression suddenly changed.  "me¡¡"

"Let's go." The alchemist rarely even showed a sarcastic expression. He signaled to the captain, "Drag them out. Those who have slept to death should not touch him for the time being."

The soldiers walked in hesitantly under the captain's order. They hesitated for a moment, and finally grasped their weapons with one hand and picked up the crew members who were lying limp on the ground with the other hand, and dragged them out of the cabin.  Several guys tried to struggle, but the soldiers didn't know how to control their emotions. They kicked and threatened with their blades, as if the crew were prisoners about to step onto the execution ground.

One after another, the crew members were dragged out of the cabin, and the soldiers¡¯ defensive curses came through the bulkhead.  Two soldiers stepped forward and tried to pull Dika, who kept mumbling, from Brand's arms.  "You are not allowed to touch him, I will do it myself." He struggled to stand up and staggered outside.  He suddenly stopped, "Where are they?" He looked at the unconscious, seemingly dead crew members that the soldiers deliberately avoided, "Where are they!"

"We go out first," Leo said, "and then it's their turn."

"Don't even think about deceiving me!" Brand stared at Leo angrily and shouted at him with all his strength, "I will not leave anyone behind! Never!"

Leo frowned. Isn't this guy aware of the danger?  "Get out of here first!" he ordered.  The water vapor in the cabin became heavier, and the fishy smell of the ocean was like rancid salted fish, which made people feel nauseous.  "Take him out!"

Brand tried to struggle, but Mr. Captain had had enough.  "I don't want to be here any longer," he roared. "Soldier, drag them out, damn it! We have to get out, now! I'm going crazy!"

So, the soldiers became even more merciless. One of them went to catch Dika, and the other used a halberd to oppress Brand.  But a soldier next to him suddenly fell to the ground, causing a violent noise. All the barrels and boxes fell to the ground, hitting the soldier and almost drowning him.  Luckily he seemed fine.

However, within a short moment, the soldier screamed in terror.  His voice was far shriller than a woman's cry.  "Who is it, who is it?" he shouted, "Help, captain, help!" He kept kicking his legs,He held the ship's board tightly with his hands, but he couldn't stop it from sliding towards the back.  His nails left clear marks on the floor, leaving blood on them.  "Help!" he screamed.

The captain was almost stunned.  He simply forgot to give orders.

Leo was the first to rush forward. He grabbed the soldier's hand and pulled him out.  Behind the wooden boxes stacked high, something seemed to be pulling in the darkness that blocked the light. He found that he could hardly resist the strange force. The vague, twisting figure hidden in the darkness seemed to  It's a monster.

"What are you looking at? Come and help!" He shouted to the soldiers standing at the door.

A soldier ran over, grabbed his companion's other hand, and worked hard with the alchemist to pull him out.  They tugged, and Leo found that the twisting black figure on the other end was stronger than imagined.

"Damn it! Don't be stupid!" Another soldier took over the alchemist's place.  "Move all these things."

His orders were ignored.  The soldiers' horrified shouts were like a restraining spell, making most of them dare not move at all.  "Hell!" He cursed, and had no choice but to move forward to move the empty boxes himself, the wound on his left hand aching faintly.  Finally, a soldier ran over, but in the blink of an eye, the soldier buried under the wooden box let out a shrill cry.  His eyes were wide open, the whites of his eyes rolled up, and sweat suddenly spread all over his body, as if he was in great pain.

The soldier was stunned for a moment.  Leo pushed him away, "Get out of here! Don't get in the way!"

The wooden box fell to the side like a landslide, and then Leo saw what was hidden behind it.  In the shadows were several pale faces, round faces that had become swollen after being soaked in water. They were all exuding a fishy smell. Their eyes were shining in the darkness, revealing hatred for the living and bloodthirsty hunger.  .

¡°He, they¡ª¡± Brand¡¯s face was a mixture of disbelief and panicked fear.

"Damn it, that's what you said about never giving up on anyone." Leo responded quickly.  He kicked the sluggish soldier and said, "Pull him out and get out of here." He finally saw that these soldiers had lost their will to fight, and they were simply courting death by staying here.  The guy who was unconscious from the pain was pulled out.  His legs were gone, and the broken bones seemed to have been bitten off by teeth.

"Get out! Everyone get out!" The alchemist shouted at the soldiers, "Damn it, can't you even run away?"

Those drowned ghosts no longer hid, they pushed away the wooden boxes blocking the way and approached them. The captain held the sword and stood beside Leo.  "White Devil, this isthis isare you sure we can kill them?"

"Cut off their heads." Leo said, "It's pretty simple, isn't it?"

One, two, three five in total.  Less than the alchemist expected.  A short-haired ghost pounced first, and Leo had no time to choose his opponent.  He jumped forward and struck down with his sword.  The rune sword cut across the sleeves, skin and bones, but somehow the sound was wrong.  The breath around him was strange and cold, almost choking him.  He saw the broken arm on the ground, and the black fingers were wriggling under the light.

The other water ghost raised his pale round face, and Leo raised his sword to chop without hesitation.  The sharp sword split his nose in half, creating a bone-deep gash that ran through his cheek, just below his eyes that were as red as a burning furnace.  Brand should recognize this face.  He called out a person's name and stumbled back.

The alchemist felt like something was picking at his ankle.  Looking down, he saw dark fingers tightly clamping his calf, and the severed arm was crawling up his thigh, tearing at the wool and muscles.  Leo felt a violent nausea, and he quickly used the tip of his sword to pry open the fingers on his feet, and then threw the thing away.  The severed arm squirmed on the ground, its fingers opening and closing.

The other drowned men staggered towards him.  Although the guy with a broken arm was missing a hand, he didn't shed a drop of blood and seemed to be unconscious.  Leo raised the long sword in front of his chest and recited a three-syllable incantation quickly. The long sword immediately shone like the bright moonlight at night, surpassing the dim oil lamp, making the drowned ghosts even more terrifying.

The captain hesitated, but the water ghost came to him.  He had to fight in horror.  But he still remembered Leo's advice.  He dodged the water ghost's claws, and the sword edge sank deeply into the water ghost's soft, thick neck that seemed to be stuffed with fat.

The corpse of a crew member rushed over and knocked the captain to the ground.  He fell into a pile of wooden boxes and the weapon fell from his hands.

"Get up," Leo shouted at him, "Get out!" However, the captain struggled several times and failed to get up.  At this time, a brave soldier rushed forward instead of retreating and rushed into the cabin.  "Take him out!" He didn't have time to tell.Recognizing who the other party was, he shouted loudly.

The space in the cabin was small, and the alchemist faced four dead bodies alone, so he had to stand and retreat.  He slashed the stomach of a water ghost with his sword, and the dark intestines spilled all over the floor together with the blood and sea water, but the opponent was still alive and well.  He backed toward the door, intending to trap them in the cabin.  However, his back bumped into someone who was in the way.

That bastard Brand hasn¡¯t left yet.  "Damn it, what are you doing standing here!" He yelled while attacking.

"I don't need you to save me." Brand held a halberd left behind by a soldier in his hand and stabbed forward feebly, but it had almost no effect. The sharp blade could not penetrate the halberd at all.  Smooth skin.

Leo cut off the arm of another corpse with a sword, and at the same time kicked the severed hand away from him.  Who knew he was almost stabbed by that halberd.  He shouted angrily, "Damn, don't block the road. Do you want to kill me? Take Dika and get out of here first!"

¡°Stop being so fucking self-righteous!¡± Brand repeated stubbornly, ¡°I don¡¯t need you to save me!¡±

Damn, he is more annoying than Lu Yuewu.  "You're going to fucking kill us." Leo outlined the seal, sending the two water ghosts flying towards him high into the air and falling into the corner of the cabin, causing large pieces of wood chips to fly.  He took a step forward, pierced the throat of the corpse who had lost his arm with his sword, and kicked him away at the same time.  "run!"

But Brand didn't move.  The alchemist turned around and found that Brand was facing away from him.  Following his line of sight, Leo saw that Dika's face was abnormally purple, crab-like foam came out of his mouth, his eyes were opened dully, and the muscles on his face were tangled together, as if he was suffering from great pain.

"Dika¡ª¡ª" Brand was trembling all over, almost speechless.

"Don't go see him," Leo grabbed his arm and said sadly, "Let's go."

Brand shook off his arm, "No! I won't abandon him!" He actually walked towards the other party.

Leo struggled to pull him back, "Open your eyes and take a good look, he has turned into the same thing as those guys! He is already dead!"

    ¡°He was fine before¡ª¡ª¡±

"He was about to die before!" Leo shouted angrily, but Brand seemed to have roots under his feet and couldn't pull him away.  "Are you going to stay here and die too? He's dead, he's dead! Damn it, come with me!"

Brand was motionless, but Dika had already climbed up, walking toward them with his mouth open and salivating. His eyes were full of greed and hatred, and he wanted to swallow them whole.  A low growl was also recalled in the cabin behind them.

"Thanks to you, let's not leave."
