Volume 4: The Lamenting Sea of ??Sand Chapter 46: Boat

Leo left the castle and walked through the huge maze made of red bricks.

Bachelor Leila gave him great convenience. Naturally, threats are the most effective method.  For him, the Castle of Despair, which he despised and ridiculed, decided everything for him.  If he didn't want to be deprived of his bachelor's degree and continue to live a comfortable life, he could only obey their orders.  This is an extremely effective means of control, more effective than money.  []

The alchemist was alone, neither calling for guards nor refusing to follow the knight.

On the street, between the red bricks and tiles, dark-skinned Waliyas wearing linen gowns and brown turbans were talking loudly to each other in a steady flow.

The alchemist pricked up his ears and listened to them talking about the Mother of the Desert, his mouth full of awe, his face full of brilliance and fanatical belief - just like those unlucky ones of Pompey Dekar.  Leo suddenly felt strong uneasiness in his heart.  He wasn't sure what this place would become.  It would be best if nothing happened, he prayed.

"Walking in the country of chimpanzees, he is an anomaly, suffering from the pointing eyes of others.  Look, he said to himself, a bunch of black monkeys who don't know that their death is near.  A fool who even controls his own future in the hands of others, a blind bug who is kept in the dark.  You don't even know what has become of your own kind.

He found the direction leading to the dock and shuttled through the streets and alleys.  However, this brick-built city is the same everywhere. There are low red brick walls and coffin-like stone houses everywhere.  He found that he seemed to be lost.

"Excuse me, how to get to the pier?" He called to a pleasant-looking woman. Anyway, as far as he was concerned, there was no difference between these charcoal-like women, they were all carved from the same mold.

Unexpectedly, the woman immediately dropped the vegetable basket and let out a high-decibel scream that pierced his eardrums.

"Stop!" He tried to reach out his hand to stop her.

But the woman got worse.  "Help!" She actually shouted for help.  He won't kill the other person.  "Who can help me? He wants to touch me! He wants toah"

The alchemist covered her mouth, "Shut your stinky mouth, stupid woman!" He shouted angrily, "I despise you, a black peat. Stop fucking being so self-righteous." She actually thought that  He wanted her!  Please!  He is not so picky about food, and he is also sexually interested in gorillas.

"Uh, uh" The woman struggled under his grip.

"Shut your mouth and I will let you go¡ª¡ª"

"White devil, let her go!" A man rushed out of the tavern on the street.  He had a bald head and wore an ill-fitting sleeveless shirt, and his muscular arms were covered with scars from ropes.  This is a boatman.  Leo realized.  "Didn't you hear what I said? Let her go! Otherwise I will kill you." He looked around, as if looking for a weapon.

Leo obediently let go of the woman's hand and raised his hands to show that he meant no harm.  "I just wanted to ask for directions," he explained, "but she -"

However, no one believes the truth.  The man interrupted him, "Shut your mouth, White Devil! No one will believe your lies." He pulled the woman aside, "Tell me, what is the White Devil going to do to you?"

The woman was crying, "He, he wants to"

The alchemist sighed, his defense was of no use.  More and more people gathered around.  Some drunkards and boatmen poured out of the tavern and surrounded the area.  "Okay, whatever you say is what it is. Tell me, what do you want?"

"What do you want?" The bald man stepped forward and gave him a hard push, "White devil, that's it!" When Leo lost his balance, the man raised his right hand and punched him.  "I'll teach you a lesson."

Leo turned to the right and avoided the man's fist in an awkward posture.  He immediately stabilized his body and kicked the man in the knee.  The man staggered and rushed towards him.  Leo stepped aside.  The man fell to the ground like a dog chewing shit, his mouth covered with brick-red mud.

The man roared in a low voice, roaring angrily as if his self-esteem had been damaged.  He jumped up from the ground and waved his fists indiscriminately.  With a "swipe" sound, the long sword was unsheathed, bringing out a dazzling brilliance, and the surroundings suddenly became silent.  "A sword is more effective than words, right?" The blade pointed at the man's throat.

"W-what do you want?" Cold sweat streamed down the boatman's head, and ravines were drawn on his face covered with brick dust.

¡°Tell me how to get to the pier?¡±

"That's it?" He still looked in disbelief.

"That's it. Why did I lie to you?" Leo said impatiently, "Also, look back and take a good look, the woman is gone."

A stone suddenly flew out of the crowd and landed on the stone road with a "click".  The second piece then flew out, whizzing past Leo's shoulder.  The alchemist tensed up, raised his hands, and made a quick gesture.  The crowd roared and the stones became denser.  But the seal protected him.  It was like an invisible wall that blocked flying objects.

"That's enough!" Leo yelled, "What the hell, stop it!"

The crowd roared like a stormy sea, but the stones stopped being thrown.  Ming Ming Mie's long sword gave him a huge shock, and of course the magic he cast was also indispensable.  "Tell me where to go, I've had enough of you," Leo said to the boatman.

"Go west, White Devil." The man spoke, still with hatred in his eyes.  "But don't think I'm going to apologize to you."

"I didn't expect it at all, nor did I have any expectations for your apology."

The alchemist holds the long sword and leaves the place of right and wrong.  There were black ghosts following them all the way, including thieves or thugs who were ready to make a move.  Do they still want to try their skills and vent their anger on the previous woman?  He didn't think the other party was so kind.

Sure enough, when passing through a deserted alley, two black men walked towards him one after the other.  One of the lanky guys sprayed feces with his mouth full.  "Hey, white devil, it's you," the man shouted, "stop, don't go any further. You dog-eared bug, do you hear that?"

Leo sneered and turned around, "I thought you were talking about beasts." He picked his ears and looked at the two guys who stopped him.  One was a lanky nigger, and the other was as strong as a hill, like a fat pig.

"Damn bitch, shut up your mouth that licks other people's shit." "Fat Pig" shouted in a sullen voice, "Put down your sword and hand over the money."

Leo couldn't help but laugh, "Why?" He looked them up and down, "With your fists, or do you think you can kill me just with your greedy eyes?"

"For this!" The lanky nigger grabbed a short, narrow-edged dagger from his belt and said viciously, "Don't force us to do it, otherwise you won't be able to go back."

"Then let's just wait and see, who can't see the sun tomorrow?"

"You'll find out soon." The lanky nigger screamed and rushed forward, like a rat whose tail was stepped on and hissed.  The dagger drew a strange arc, and Leo raised his sword to fight back, forcing him back, but the "fat pig" rushed over, knocking over a stall, and he stepped on the fish scales all over the ground to get a black tiger.  Heartbroken.

His speed is too slow.  "Fat Pig" didn't even react. The expression on his face only showed a trace of panic, and the alchemist's sword pierced his abdomen.  When he tried to fight back, he received another blow to the neck, just below the ear.  The blade turned up a disgusting pool of yellow fat.  "Fat Pig" took four wobbly steps and fell into a fish truck, causing the wheels to spin.  Then, he rolled off the pile of slippery goods and fell onto the red brick road, his body covered in silver fish scales.

The lanky nigger jumped away from the stall and passed over the head of the fallen "fat pig".  He failed to hit the alchemist and jumped away again.  However, the alchemist's return sword was so fast and accurate that he didn't even feel it: when he tried to attack again, his legs no longer obeyed his command.  The dagger slipped from his hand and the tendons under his elbow were severed.  "Just wait" He raised his eyes with difficulty and said, "The boss won't let you go."

"Boss? Let him die, or do it yourself, and don't fucking bother me." The alchemist sneered, "Otherwise I will definitely kick his head like a ball. Ah, I forgot, you  There¡¯s no way to convey it.¡±

The lanky nigger knelt on the ground, shook his head, and repeated the process of getting up and falling down.  Finally his head dropped, and among the shabby stalls and market goods, among the scattered fish and oysters, his body was immersed in the continuous gush of red liquid.

The alchemist walked into the dock.

He avoided carriages and barrels along the way. On the narrow roadside, the crowd that was buzzing like honeycomb panels fell silent. Every nigger looked at him with the same strange, contemptuous, mocking, and malicious eyes as before.  This time the alchemist didn't look sideways. He avoided the steaming horse dung on the ground and the deep and shallow puddles. He endured the stench and the smell of sweat and squeezed into the square where goods were sold at the dock.

There are countless niggas selling goods, and some of them are exactly what he needs urgently.  Some are expensive, some are cheap.  He bargained with the niggers, but most of the time he got a no-haggle rejection.  He twitched the long sword, letting the sharp bladeThis usually makes these guys calm down.

"Hey! Look over there!" A nigger suddenly said to the stall owner in front of Leo, "Hurry over and look at the pier."

"What's wrong?" the stall owner asked, while glancing at Leo cautiously.  "I have guests to greet."

    ¡°What kind of guest¡ªthe white devil!¡±

Leo raised his eyes and took a look at the man. He was an ordinary, unremarkable Varian, with surprise and embarrassment in his eyes, and naturally a little uneasiness.

The man forced out an ugly smile, "So you have already received them¡ª¡ª"

"What do you mean?" the stall owner asked.

¡°A big ship is coming,¡± the man said. ¡°It¡¯s full of white devils.¡±

Who else will come here?  As far as the alchemist knows, there are very few merchant ships traveling here in the Western Continent. This place is far more exclusive than the other side of the sea, so even the crews of merchant ships usually employ Varians.

Leo put down a seal tooth in his hand and said to the man, "Take me to see it."

The man looked panicked, "W-what did you say?"

"Take me to see it." He had to repeat, "I'm not with them."

There were so many people joining in the fun that they could hardly squeeze in.  The smell of sweat that clogged my nose was disgusting.  "Give way, give way." The man leading the way kept pushing, but he was too thin and could only stumble.

The alchemist decided to do it himself.

He patted the man in front of him on the shoulder and said, "Let me pass, nigger." He said, making himself look fierce.  Although he felt that it was not pretending, the effect was quite good.  "White devil!" the niggas shouted in surprise, and stepped aside one after another as if they were avoiding the plague.  No matter what, Leo thought, just let him go.

Squeezing through the wall of people, Leo could already clearly see what the man called "a big ship".  It was a three-masted galleon.  By this time the sail had been lowered, leaving only the bare mast exposed.  The hull tilted, a hole was broken above the port side, and a cabin on the deck was completely missing, with only broken wooden boards piercing the sky.  Above the captain's cabin, there was a square flag hanging Wait Leo rubbed his eyes That was the flag of the Thousand Faced Hands.  A big black hand.

    She is from Ayinbulo!

Leo jumped off the barrel and pushed away the crowd recklessly.  At the edge of the pier, a soldier stopped him, "White Devil?" He whispered in surprise, "Are you with them?"

He was so excited that he said rudely, "Damn it, did you see me coming down from above?"

"Watch your words and deeds, White Devil." The soldier raised his halberd, "Otherwise prison is waiting for you."

    "Let me go up."

"No, no one can go up or down at will without the captain's order."

The alchemist took a deep breath and tried his best to calm down, "Tell me, what is going on? She," Leo pointed to the ship of the Thousand Faces, "why is she here?"

"Don't order me." The soldier beat the ground with his halberd angrily.

¡°Okay, then please do yourself a favor and tell me.¡±

The soldier looked him up and down, "Although I don't know how you are here. But since you are also a white devil, it should be okay to tell you." He glanced towards the ship, as if to make sure his captain was not  Notice here.  "We don't know how she ended up here. But as you saw, she was attacked."

    "My eyes are not blind."

The soldier glanced at him, "She just appeared here without any permission, let alone being invited. Therefore, for safety reasons, no one is allowed to board him before a thorough inspection. This is especially true for you. White Devil  , who knows if it will bring disaster to us because of you." He spat, "Okay, I'm done, get out of here."

Leo's legs seemed to be rooted to the ground, "Who attacked her?"

"I'm not a blind old witch who can predict things." The soldier glanced at him with a sneer, "The Mother of the Desert is above, only she knows. Maybe it's those floating astronomy nets."

Leo Islanders?  Octopus?  The guy they were targeting didn't seem to be alive.

"Are you sure there's someone else up there?"

"Nonsense. How could this ship safely sail into the port and dock here without anyone?" Footsteps were heard on the deck of the ship, and the soldiers urged impatiently, "Okay, don't ask anymore. Hurry up.  Go, otherwise the captain will see you and you will be dead."

"I have to go up and have a look." Leo said.

"No, hey, stop!"Damn white devil!  "

The soldiers failed to stop him.  The alchemist pushed aside the opponent's halberd and rushed over.  A soldier with a rag on his head walked down the ship's ladder and bumped into him.

"White Devil?" The man's first reaction was to pull out the sword from his waist, "What the hell, why don't you stop him!" He shouted, "Stop, no matter who you are, you are not allowed to go up!"

He wears slightly more refined leather armor, and the scimitar in his hand is sharper.  He is the captain.  "Let me pass." The alchemist confronted the other party.

"Go back, or I will throw you into the dungeon."

"Let me pass." He repeated again, and pulled out a black iron waist plate from his belt, and stuffed it into the opponent's hand unceremoniously, "I have it, take a good look. Just have it, right?"

The other party stared at the dark Iron Waist sign with Varia characters written on it.  The captain looked surprised. He looked like he was holding a red-hot iron, "Youhowhow did you get this?"

"You have nothing to do with this. I just want to know if I can go up."

"Of course." The captain said with a hint of annoyance, "But"

"You don't understand the language of the White Devil." The alchemist pointed out pointedly, "But I understand Varian." He looked at the other person, "Don't you want to understand what happened?"

Leo climbed up the rope ladder and jumped onto the deck.  This place is more shabby than what I saw on the pier. There are holes and broken wood stubble everywhere. Even the still intact places are covered with moss and seaweed grows in the gaps.  It looks like a sunken ship that has just been lifted from the bottom of the sea.  His fears may have come true.  Everything he saw was very similar to the eight-clawed octopus.

"Where are they?" Leo asked the captain who followed him.

"Inside the cabin." The captain replied disdainfully, "My people are watching them. What I'm afraid of is that they are like you, running rampant, shouting, and breaking the rules."

"You will all die if you stick to the rules." Leo yelled at him angrily.  He ran to the cabin.

The captain shouted angrily behind him, "What do you mean?"

"Hell, let them come out and bask in the sun, if you don't want them to turn into monsters and kill you."

"What did you say?" He was surprised.

"You've heard of the eight-clawed octopus," Leo said with a sneer, "They are all real!"

The alchemist rushed into the cabin, and the captain fought back the soldiers who tried to block him with surprise and uneasiness.  "Are they in here?" Leo asked, pointing to the closed door.  After receiving the captain's affirmative answer, Leo kicked the door open.  He found that the person staying inside turned out to be a guy he was familiar with.
