Chapter 602 The Great Sage Appears

Compared with the elegance of the hot air balloon, Tang Monk's side was not smooth, because the closer to the border, the more difficult the conditions. There are enough stations in the Tang Dynasty. As long as you don't take the small road, you can find a place to rest and replenish food and grass.  and supplies, but near the border, there are fewer and fewer inns, and there are fewer and fewer places to supply, and the conditions are becoming more and more difficult.

During the Western Zhou Dynasty, in order to be able to develop, it was determined that there must be one hut for ten miles, one accommodation for thirty li, and one hut for fifty li. The hut provided food, the lodging provided accommodation, and the hut provided trading.  It took more than a thousand years. Although there were wars and many facilities were abandoned, they were renovated at the beginning of each dynasty. Now in the thirteenth year of Zhenguan, the facilities in the Tang Dynasty have basically returned to normal.  So as long as you travel within the country, it is still very smooth, but when you reach the border, some people will not be able to endure the hardship.

Often we can¡¯t find a way station, we have no supplies, the food we bring becomes less and less, and the road becomes increasingly difficult to walk.  This is still the border, and it has not left the Tang Dynasty. When we leave the Tang Dynasty, we still don¡¯t know what it will look like.

This is a barbarian land. There is no way. The level of development is too low, the roads are difficult to walk, and there is no place for supplies.  In a barbarian country, there may only be a few desert oases-like points in the entire country that can provide supplies, and these points are basically supply points on the trade route, and they are also the most valuable points on the route.

Therefore, if the Tang Dynasty went to war and defeated the small barbarian countries, that is, if it occupied these points, it would not be able to effectively govern the barbarian countries.  Transportation is inconvenient and development is insufficient. If the army goes, supplies will have to be transported from far away borders, and the local area cannot afford it.  And if you want to develop it, you have to spend money, and maybe you will make wedding clothes for others.

Just like the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, in fact, the Emperor Zhou did not care about development. The Emperor Zhou occupied the most developed land, and the development of wasteland was the responsibility of all countries.  That's why it finally happened that the power of the vassal states surpassed that of Zhou Tian. If the Tang Dynasty helped the barbarians develop, regardless of the money spent, it was hard to say whether they could get back their money.  Therefore, in the future, Central Plains countries will basically do business, and small countries will be responsible for development.

Because it was getting harder and harder as we walked, many people in Tang Seng¡¯s team made donations and fled. Originally, there were only a dozen people left in the team of more than 300 people at the border.

In fact, his subordinates had already reminded Tang Seng to arrest people and punish them as a warning to others.  But Tang Seng is an indecisive monk. In Chang'an, these shortcomings were nothing, but after arriving in the wilderness, the shortcomings were magnified, and Tang Seng's many advantages were of no use in the current environment.  Therefore, Tang Seng always went along with the situation, without forcing or persevering, so more and more people ran away, and finally even the last few pious followers and reporters ran away.  Because after the Tang Dynasty, sleeping in the open air and not having enough to eat would become the norm, which was really unbearable.  Although they are just ordinary people in Chang'an, they can live a decent life, and there is no need to risk their lives by following the stupid monk.

It can be seen that anyone who has a way out will not risk his life.

Tang Monk was at a loss. In his opinion, taking Buddhist scriptures was such a correct thing, and there was guidance from Guanyin Bodhisattva. Why were these ordinary people unwilling to go?  Because these ordinary people are pursuing their own enjoyment, they worship Buddha for transaction, not faith.

So once the cost of worshiping the Buddha exceeds their ability to bear it, they will turn their backs on the Buddha without hesitation, even if Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva appears.

They all hope that Bodhisattva will appear and fulfill their wishes, not that Guanyin Bodhisattva will appear and ask them to do this or that, or even ask them to risk their lives.  If it is the latter, they would rather the Bodhisattva not appear.

Therefore, monotheistic religions always like to force mortals into a situation where they have no choice, such as a catastrophic disaster that takes away everything from people, even the right to control their own lives. When they are desperate, they can only believe in gods.  Only then will you be pious.  Once there is a choice, mortals have flexible standards and start making deals with gods.

Although he is ignorant, Tang Seng will continue because he knows that if he does not seek the true scriptures, then the people of the Tang Dynasty will always remain in this state of uncertainty and will not make the slightest progress.  Isn't it just because ordinary people don't understand the true meaning of Buddhism that they shrink back in fear?  I won¡¯t stop, I have to learn from it.

But soon reality will let Tang Seng know that if he, a weak chicken, does not have external help, he may be eaten by a tiger at any time.  If you stay in the second mortal world, it's okay. As long as Tang Monk walks along the Silk Road, although it is difficult, he will definitely reach Tianzhu in a circle. You can go to the Western Regions first. The Western Regions are the transfer station for east-west goods and belong to Lu Quan.  hub.  When you reach the Western Region, you can go to the southeast, northwest, and to the south you can reach Tianzhu.

But things were not so smooth in the first mortal world. Although there was trade, there was no Silk Road, and there were monsters all along the road. Tang Monk's meat was also said to have the effect of immortality. It was impossible for Tang Monk to complete the journey to the West by himself.

??Fortunately, Western religions have realized this, so they sent someone to guide Tang Monk to accept Sun Wukong as his disciple.

Tang Monk unknowingly passed through the Liangjie Mountain and traveled from the second mortal world to the first mortal world. He knew nothing about it.

Sun Wukong had been waiting for a long time, and he was expecting Tang Seng to come, so he shouted to Master to stay, hoping that Tang Seng could climb up the mountain to take down the dharma sticker, so that he could loosen his muscles and bones, so that he could use a mountain-carrying magic to remove the dharma sticker.  Throw away the annoying Five Elements Mountain.

When the master and the disciple met for the first time, Tang Seng was very scared, but Sun Wukong said that he was not a monster, but the Monkey King, and he was also the Buddhist monk arranged by Guanyin Bodhisattva. This introduction dispelled Tang Seng's suspicion.

Hearing that it was the arrangement of Guanyin Bodhisattva, Tang Monk chose to believe it without any doubt, and climbed up the mountain on both hands and feet to uncover the Dharma seal.

Five hundred years ago, more than six hundred years to be precise, but rounding off, it¡¯s still five hundred years.  The Monkey King is back again, dong dong~!

The Five Elements Mountain was pushed away, and Sun Wukong performed dozens of somersaults, enjoying this hard-won freedom.  Sun Wukong is only over a thousand years old and has spent half of his life under the Five Elements Mountain. He should really sing a song about tears behind bars.

Fortunately, being over a thousand years old is nothing to Monkey. After all, his name is not in the book of life and death, so Monkey still has a long way to go in life. It is not too late to change his ways and become a Monkey again.  also.

"Thank you, Master, for coming to the rescue. It's just that you came a little late, so that Lao Sun could wait." As soon as he was released from prison, Sun Wukong began to dislike Tang Seng for coming late, so he stayed in prison for a few more years.

Tang Monk didn't know what to say. He thought about what kind of disciple Guanyin Bodhisattva had arranged for him. But since it was arranged by Bodhisattva, he had to accept it even though he was crying. So he said: "Since you have entered my Buddhist door today, then  I will give you a Dharma name."

"It's not a big deal, Master. I actually have a Dharma name, Sun Wukong."

Tang Monk thought that Wukong was not bad, so he said: "Looking at you like a frizzy little Toutuo, let's give you another mixed name, let's call you Walker."

"Okay." The traveler said it was no problem, and then took the initiative to shoulder the burden and lead the horse, and followed Tang Monk on the road.

Tang Monk looked at the ragged golden-haired monkey and thought that he had encountered a tiger when he was crossing the Liangjie Mountain. After the hunting tiger saved him, he gave the tiger skin to himself. Now he can make an outfit for his disciples, otherwise it would be too much of a hindrance.  Watched.
