Luna took Makikawa through a dense forest and walked down the mountain. After seeing a small stream, she followed the stream downstream and arrived in front of a large lake with a vast surface.

There is a small island protruding from the water about seven or eight meters away from the shore.  The small island is not large in area. One flower has petals as big and thick as a lotus. It is white and pink, but it is a single-petaled flower sitting squarely in the center of the small island. It is very conspicuous when it flutters in the wind.

Luna pointed at the flower and looked at Makikawa anxiously and expectantly: "Mr. Warrior, that flower is the water jade flower. The one guarding it is a level 35 leader one-horned water lizard. I can't get up there and I can't defeat the one-horned water lizard."  Water lizard. Can youcan you pick it?"

Makikawa looked at a dark shadow crossing the water near the small island, feeling a little complicated in his heart.

What can he do? He can¡¯t fly.

But it¡¯s not his character to just give up.  Makikawa said helplessly: "Let me give it a try."

In Luna¡¯s nervous eyes, Makikawa climbed up to a water banyan tree growing in the water by the lake, with branches and leaves spreading three or four meters to the lake. He took out his hand/crossbow and aimed at the black shadow in the water.

The black shadow swam to the water near the island and became motionless. Makikawa took a casual look and shot an arrow.  The arrow broke into the water and pierced the black figure.

The black shadow was startled, and broke out of the water with a loud splash. He lay on the edge of the island and turned his head to look coldly in the direction of the arrow.  This one-horned water lizard is greenish-gray all over, with a smooth and streamlined body. It has short, thick limbs and wide webbed feet. It is covered with a thin layer of thin lin. It has a short conical horn on its ferocious head.  The tip is blunt and rounded.

Makikawa¡¯s arrow did not cause any substantial damage to the horned water lizard, leaving only a shallow blood hole on his body.  It looked at Makichuan on the water banyan tree, opened its big mouth full of sharp teeth, and shot a water arrow towards Makichuan.

Makikawa turned sideways, dodged the water arrows, and then continued to shoot arrows, leaving bloody holes in the body of the horned water lizard.  The one-horned water lizard moved around anxiously, a ray of light flashed from the horn on its head, and a column of water suddenly rushed from under the water banyan tree towards Makikawa.

Makichuan quickly jumped onto another branch, and the water column rushed straight to the top of the water banyan tree.  When the water column came down, the place where he stood just now was hit by the water flow and became in pieces.  The thick branches were broken by the impact, and the leaves fell onto the lake with a crash, which looked very miserable.

After sending out this water column, the one-horned water lizard became a little sluggish and continued to spray water arrows.  After going back and forth like this for a while, Makikawa couldn't help but frown.

The attack power of the hand/crossbow is too low, and he is running out of arrows, so it is simply not possible to continue like this.

The one-horned water lizard also discovered this, and simply turned around and swam into the lake, then swam to the back of the island.

Makikawa stopped helplessly. It was impossible for him to go into the water to fight hand-to-hand with the strong one-horned water lizard, so he could only go into the water banyan tree.

Looking at Luna who was looking at him blankly, Makikawa smiled bitterly and said, "I'm sorry."

Luna froze, lowered her head, the fox ears and tail on her head drooped, and the moisture in her eyes gathered again: "Well there is no need to be sorry there is nothing we can do Wolf"

As she spoke, Luna intertwined her fingers tightly and almost cried.

    Makikawa sighed in his heart.

    "Actually, it's not impossible."

Luna raised her head and looked at him blankly with her moist amber eyes.

Makikawa felt soft for a moment, raised his hand and rubbed Luna's hair, and said with a smile: "If I had a sister, she would probably be like you."

When Makikawa was seven years old, his mother became pregnant.  But because of her weak health, no matter how careful she was, she still had a miscarriage at six months, and the baby was a girl.

Luna covered her head and looked at Makikawa's turned back, with a hint of wetness in her eyes.  She looked at Makikawa who was squatting down and taking things out of the storage ring. Her anxious heart slowly calmed down, and she squatted down and looked at him expectantly.

Makikawa took out the glass medicine grinder and pestle from the storage ring, and then took out the taro grass he just got, carefully picked off a leaf and put it into the medicine grinder and pounded it carefully.

Makikawa is not used to using poison, and he feels that his level is still low, so he does not prepare poison/medicine in the storage ring.  Although it was wasteful to use the taro grass directly in this way, he could still accept it, and the value of the wind spirit fruit was much higher than this.

The blades of grass were gradually mashed into a paste by Makikawa. He added a few more drops of dissolving medicine, then took out an arrow and soaked it directly into the thick, dark juice of the medicine.

Luna¡¯s eyes widenedIt¡¯s because the life here is so vibrant.  Furs and hunting equipment were hung on the walls of the cave. Two thick fur mattresses were spread on the stone bed. Opposite the stone bed were several boxes and several low tables.  Deep in the cave is a small stove and various pots and pans, and beside them are a few pheasants and hares that have not been dealt with.

No matter how you look at it, this doesn¡¯t look like a temporary place to stay.

Thinking of the identities of Luna¡¯s half-breed and the young Baizi, Makikawa said after careful consideration: ¡°You guys will live here?¡±

Luna put down the bowl and looked at him confused.

Seeing that Luna didn¡¯t understand, Makikawa said bluntly: ¡°Isn¡¯t there a fox village near here? Why don¡¯t you live with them?¡±

Luna¡¯s face froze, she lowered her head and was silent for a while, then raised her head and was about to answer.

    "Ahem"

Suddenly, the unconscious young man on the bed coughed violently, then held his chest and wheezed in pain.

Luna was startled and immediately turned around to support the young man who was half straightening his waist: "Wolf, how are you? Are you feeling uncomfortable there?"

Wolf clutched his chest and said softly: "I'm fineWho is this?"

As he spoke, Wolf¡¯s eyes fell on Makikawa beside him.

Wolf¡¯s nose is high, his eye sockets are sunken, and his face looks like a knife and an axe. He has a clearly Westernized appearance.  His light gray vertical pupils looked at Makichuan coldly, with a cold and stern look on his face. Makichuan felt like his hair was standing on end when he was stared at.

Luna hurriedly spoke: "Wolf, it was this warrior who took the water jade flower from the one-horned water lizard and saved you."

Hearing Luna's words, the guarded look on Wolf's face softened slightly, and the muscles in his body relaxed. The pain that he had suppressed came again, causing him to fall back on the bed with a groan.

"Wolf!" Luna looked at Wolf nervously, worried tears that she couldn't shed.

"I'm fine, don't cry." Wolf comforted Luna, who looked worried and frightened, with a trembling voice. He turned to Makikawa and said weakly: "Thank you for saving my life, Lord Elf."

"No, I just want the Wind Spirit Fruit." Makikawa shook his head and took out a few bottles of intermediate healing potions left in the storage ring, "Drink these bottles of potions. Although you can't cure the disease, you can get better."  More than half of it."

Hearing this, Luna smiled gratefully at Makikawa, took the potion and carefully fed it to Wolf to drink.

Soon, Wolf¡¯s breathing calmed down, and he seemed to be much better.

The experience gained from completing the mission fell on Makawa, dragging down his experience bar a lot and almost reaching level 39.

Wolf sat up and said softly to Luna, who had tears in her eyes and a look of joy on her face: "Xiao Na, go and take out all the Wind Spirit Fruits." After saying that, he smiled at Makikawa.

"Are you having any doubts about us living here? It's a long story" (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
