The next morning, Su Mi cried so hard last night that her eyes were slightly red and swollen.

In the morning, Chunmei boiled two eggs and applied them for a long time before they faded away.

Last night, Qin Yan came back at that time, which Su Mi didn't expect at all.  Otherwise, even if she had the courage, she would not dare to cry in front of him so directly.  Normally, when I saw him, I would be too scared to cry, but I don't know why, but the grievances I felt in my heart became even deeper, and I couldn't stop myself.

However, when she thought of what Qin Yan said later, Su Mi felt sweet in her heart. At least the governor seemed to care about her.

"Miss, how long did it take you to write the deed to the shopkeeper?" Chunmei was sitting on a stone stool threading a needle. She bit the thread and looked up at Su Mi.

I don¡¯t know what happened to the young lady today. She was stunned for a long time. Didn¡¯t my uncle come back to comfort her last night? Why is she still so distracted?

Chunmei's sharp words interrupted the pink color that was about to creep up behind Su Mi's ears.

"Hey, I'm writing." Su Mi covered the pearls on her hands and picked up the pen again.

"Miss, you said that what I heard on the street was that my uncle captured the great anti-Japanese hero from Quanzhou. Is it true?"

Chunmei and Su Mi grew up together, and she has a straightforward temper. She does not think carefully about many words and just blurts out what she wants to ask. Fortunately, Su Mi did not get angry after hearing this.

"Of course it can't be counted." Su Mi raised his head and replied.

"The governor must have his reasons for arresting people. There are people in Jiaozhou who are spreading rumors about me and my cousin Yu, so Chunmei thinks it's true."

"How could it be possible? Miss and Yu's cousin have never met each other several times! It's all nonsense from those gossips!" Chunmei put down her needle and thread and said anxiously. After saying that, she saw Su Mi smiling softly at her,  I suddenly understood that there were indeed some things that we couldn't just listen to rumors.

There was a moment of silence and harmony in the yard. When Su Mi was about to finish writing the deed, a pale pink invitation was handed over from the concierge.

This is the first time Su Mi has received it in the past few days in the Governor's Mansion.

Naturally, she didn't know that Feng Bao had blocked many of the previous invitations that were of insufficient status. After all, with Qin Yan's status and power, although his reputation was not good, it was impossible for no one to fawn over him. However, Qin Yan was not interested in these invitations.  They had always been disdainful, but now they could only think of Su Mi.

Su Mi unfolded it suspiciously, and it turned out to be an invitation for flower viewing, signed in red, and titled Zhan Shicheng, the Prime Minister of Dali Temple.

Now that late autumn is almost over, there are so many flowers to enjoy. Zhan Shicheng, the chief minister of Dali Temple, has another official position. This is obviously a drunkard who no longer cares about drinking.

But why was it only her who was invited and not Qin Yan?

Since there was something unclear and Feng Bao happened to stay in the house to deal with the matter of closing the garden, Su Mi sent Feng Bao to ask.

"Madam, you don't know that the person who invited you is not Zhan Shicheng, but Zhan Shicheng's wife. The seal was deliberately stamped to show respect for the invited person and to be more solemn."

Of course, this was true on the surface, but in fact, it was just as Su Mi thought, just to please Qin Yan and seek his care in the future.

Su Mi naturally understood, "Feng Bao, can you go to Dongchang for me and ask the governor if I should go?"

She was from a business background and had never encountered this kind of government official before. She was afraid that going there would cause trouble to Qin Yan, so she would cause trouble if she refused rashly. She might as well ask clearly and just do as she was told.

    "Yes, ma'am."

Feng Bao responded. After all, Zhan Shi was also an official of the sixth rank. Compared with the previous one who was not in the mainstream, Feng Bao also felt that he should ask.

Su Mi continued to do chores related to old books in the courtyard. At dusk, Feng Bao hurried back.

"Madam, the governor said you can go."

This was beyond Su Mi's expectation. She originally thought Qin Yan didn't like these occasions, "Am I alone?"

Feng Bao ran a little out of breath and breathed a sigh of relief, "Yes, the governor said that those are just the wives of minor officials and do not dare to bully the madam."

Feng Bao actually didn't know why the governor would ask his wife to go. Qin Yan clearly disdained such things. He only remembered going to the main hall of the East Factory and asking about the matter. The governor pondered for a while and then said,  "Teach her to do it. It's too much trouble to cry."

Isn¡¯t it troublesome? With so many thoughts on her mind, she was not allowed to go. She thought someone was dissatisfied with her status as a merchant girl.

Feng Bao didn't know what Qin Yan was thinking, and Su Mi didn't think so much either. Since she said she would go, she would go. Anyway, if she was careful about everything she said, she would not make any mistakes.

When the day of the invitation arrived, Su Mi dressed up more solemnly and changed into a dark brocade robe before going to the agreed place.

In Liyuan, headed by Zhan Shicheng¡¯s wife, there were several women standing behind her, all with smiling faces.

This was just to please Su Mi, so there would definitely be no grievances. There were more flowers in the greenhouse than Su Mi expected, and the scenery in Liyuan was not that boring. After spending half a day enjoying it with them, I was always in a good mood.  It was still pleasant, but anyway, it was all nonsense, and Su Mi's words were not bad at all.

When it was time to leave, although she refused, the wives of the petty officials still sent her to the gate of Liyuan.

Chunmei looked at the sky and held up a rain shield, "Hey, miss, where is our carriage?"

Hearing this, Su Mi frowned and looked around. The coachman had obviously stopped here when he came, but he disappeared in one afternoon.

"Mrs. Governor, if the carriage leaves, I can take you back." When Zhan Shicheng's wife saw it with sharp eyes, she immediately stepped forward and said with a flattering smile.

Su Mi turned around and smiled after hearing this. She was just about to say something about waiting for us to look for her again, when she suddenly caught a glimpse of a tall figure from the corner of her eye. She was under the eaves across from the official road, and next to her was the blue-covered carriage she was familiar with.

Some light rain fell from the sky, a blue-gray brick eaves, and a curtain of rain in the distance.

Qin Yan was wearing a crow-green robe with wide sleeves and a round collar. He had a handsome appearance. He stood beside the carriage with his hands behind his hands. Perhaps he noticed Su Mi's burning eyes. When he turned to her, he pursed his lips and smiled.

    "Come."

Su Mi enjoyed a lot of beautiful scenery today and saw a lot of beautiful autumn flowers, but now that she thinks about it, none of them are as good as Qin Yan's.

She never knew how much she liked Qin Yan, but from last night to today, she suddenly understood that it was not like a benefactor, but a woman's like for a man.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
