Chapter 140 Master¡¯s shops are closing down

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

The Mystery Shack, started in 1888.

Between the two buildings, a two-story shop with the style of the last century stands tall.

Pushing the door open, a dazzling array of merchandise comes into view.  There are specimens of cats and dogs, bones of chickens, ducks and fish, human skeletons and even lifelike heads of girls.  This is probably the residence of the evil wizard in human imagination.

"If I hadn't heard about this man's downfall from that old man, I would have definitely thought that he was a reclusive figure in the city."

"He is a hidden figure in the city, Coulson. He is just down and out. But having said that, this poor girl If it weren't for a mission, I would point a gun at his head and force him to kill this poor girl.  Buried."

"Remind you, Mei, if there was no mission, we wouldn't know Dad, we wouldn't be able to get this magical puffer fish, and we wouldn't be able to see this place. Moreover, this girl may not be dead."

Walking among the dazzling array of merchandise, Coulson and Agent May chatted with each other, diluting the shock in their hearts.

¡°Compared to their father¡¯s antique shop, this place is more in line with their imagination of the residence of a master of occultism.  Well, although in Dad's words, the people here are novices and not masters, but to laymen like Coulson, anyone on the mysterious side is a master.

Colson and the others can¡¯t tell the difference between their father and the boss here, Balthazar.

They all live in a two-story building filled with all kinds of messy items. They all have quirks that are unusual for ordinary people. They are all mysterious people and can do magic. Even the shops they open are on the verge of bankruptcy.

Yes, dad and the owner Balthazar¡¯s shop are on the verge of bankruptcy.

Even the reasons for being on the verge of bankruptcy are similar.

    They don¡¯t sell it.

Although they have many magical treasures in their hands, and selling any of them can make their poor lives better, they never sell them.

Dad is a little better. Occasionally he sells one or two ordinary-level antiques, and his nephew helps support the family. But this Balthazar, in Colson's opinion, has probably not sold an item in countless years.  .

Not everyone can choose products with the empty eyes of a room full of dead creatures.

Even if there are one or two such perverts, Balthazar, who is considered righteous by his father, will probably not sell anything to them.

Does he really have the money to pay property taxes?

"Who are you? How did you get inOh, you are a mature puffer fish" A voice sounded, interrupting Colson and the others' thinking.

"Hello, Mr. Balthazar, this is the Strategic Homeland Defense"

"Stop, I know you, Strategic Science Corps. I helped Steve Rogers when he was still here. I also served as your advisor when Peggy Carter was in office."

    ""

Balthazar¡¯s words left Coulson and May speechless.

Are you one of our own after doing this for a long time?

"It's not one of our own. I have no interest in your strategic science group. If it weren't for that child who can be said to embody all virtues, I wouldn't be too lazy to meddle in other people's business."

"But, Mr. Balthazar, since you have been nosy in the past, can you please" come out to help us again when new threats are emerging?

"I have no interest in leaving the mountain again. And like Lao Cheng, I don't want to cause trouble. I am too busy with my own affairs."

    "" Can you read minds?

    "certainly."

    ""

Silence.  Twice in a row, questions were answered before they could ask their own questions. Coulson and May finally discovered part of Balthazar's abilities.

    This is a huge problem.

As agents, they have too many secrets that they cannot tell others.  It can be said that such a person who can read minds is not suitable at all to be hired as a consultant by SHIELD.

"Originally, I wasn't interested in hearing your secrets. But as a mortal, your thoughts are as clear to me as this room."

"" Coulson and Mei were silent again after their thoughts were seen through again.

Fortunately, the explanation is not very clear yet.  But after looking at this messy room, Mei felt relieved in her heart.

"Get out of here." Balthazar turned around.

    Colson and Mei were helpless.

    What to do?

    Only left.

After Ms. Carter retired, the communication between S.H.I.E.L.D. and the mysterious side was almost completely interrupted. They didn¡¯t think about retaining her.??But it never worked out.

And this Balthazar is obviously much more lonely than the previous mysterious people in SHIELD. Coulson and May did not dare to have any hope of mystery.

But they didn¡¯t expect that after turning around, Balthazar started chatting:

"I'll give you some comfort. As long as you don't want to, I can't hear what you think. Carter and Howard know this very well."

"Don't think that I will go out to help you. At most, I will give you some information. Those knives have never appeared before. But it is not that there are no similar things in this world, and without exception, they all originated from the gods who have left this planet long ago.  .¡±

"I don't know about that Kikyo. But the so-called miko's job is to serve the gods."

"Okay, don't think about asking me. I've already said too much. If those knives come from a certain evil god, my store will be demolished at the latest tonight. Get out of here!"

    "Mr. Balthazar, we can help"

"Pull him down, just you guys? Gods and demons who can produce swords of this level are at least the main gods of the gods. Even the strategic science team tied together can't defeat their watchdogs! Humph, if you have to participate  Come in, unless the Supreme Master of Karma Taj is willing to shout a word for you.¡±

    "boom."

    ""

With their backs against the closed door, Coulson and May looked at each other.

¡°I was kicked out really quickly this time, much faster than at Dad¡¯s antique store.  They stayed at Dad's antique store for at least half an hour, but here, they didn't even stay for five minutes.

But at Dad¡¯s antique store, they only got one piece of information, but here, they got a lot.

    What's happening here?

Because of the incense love?  Or someone who has been withdrawn for too long just happens to vent?  Or even because of an invisible fate?

? ? Okay, whatever the case may be.  Colson and the others can go back and resume their lives.

    God and the Supreme Mage?

They all sound like very powerful titles.

    ¡¡

By the time Coulson and the others were getting information, Kikyo had already turned around.

Or to be precise, it is the interface between the mountain of swords and the sea of ??fire and this world.

As before, Ye¡¯s aesthetics still places this interface in a place with beautiful scenery but inaccessible places.

But what¡¯s different from before is that this time, the interface is much more approachable.

On Guillotine, a famous mountain climbing spot next to New York, a three-story manor selling high-end cold weapons opened its doors to everyone.

¡°Compared to Dad¡¯s antique shop and Balthazar¡¯s Mystery House, this manor¡¯s operating conditions can be said to be very good.

Sometimes shop owners don¡¯t understand why someone who is an extraordinary person would even lose money when opening a shop.

??Buddhist?  Buddhism is not the reason.

¡° In a store like his, even the salesperson is often missing on weekdays, and they don¡¯t lose money.

Without publicity, there will be many customers.

There is no salesperson, and all customers will pay their bills honestly.

No one is watching the store, and thieves and IRS will not patronize it.

Why do you lose money?  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
