Yang Bo felt that Cao Yuande might have something to do with him when he came here this time, but he was not sure.

Soon after returning home, Yang Bo received a call from Cao Yuande, who invited him to meet at a teahouse.

Yang Bo was very surprised, but he also knew that there must be something wrong with Cao Yuande finding him secretly at this time. He did not hesitate too much, settled Yue Junyao, and headed to the teahouse.

Yang Bo met Cao Yuande in the lobby. When he saw him, he was holding a tea cup and drinking tea attentively.

Yang Bo sat down and picked up the tea cup without saying anything.

After a while, Cao Yuande finally said: "Are you busy recently?"

"It's not bad." Yang Bo said.

Cao Yuande paused slightly and said in a much lower voice, "Do you know the remains of the Zhoukoudian ape-man?"

Yang Bo was stunned, "You know, isn't this written in the middle school history book? Isn't there a Zhoukoudian ruins just over the Imperial Capital?"

Cao Yuande nodded, "But you don't know that Zhoukoudian's remains are missing. There are some remains in the ruins museum that were made later."

Yang Bo was a little surprised. He really didn't know about this matter. He couldn't help but look up at Cao Yuande, "You don't want me to get the bones back, do you?"

    Cao Yuande laughed, "Clever!"

Yang Bo put the teacup directly on the table, "Okay, our conversation ends today. I have to go. Go to bed early and get up early for good health!"

Cao Yuande looked at Yang Bo, "Don't you want to continue listening?"

Yang Bo shook his head, "I don't want to at all. Let's see you again!"

"If I said that if you find Zhoukoudian's remains, you will also find a lot of gold, what would you think?" Cao Yuande said.

Yang Bo still shook his head, "My greatest advantage is that I am not greedy for money!"

    "6,000 tons!" Cao Yuande said.

Yang Bo had already walked out. When he heard these words, he couldn't help but stopped and looked up at Cao Yuande, "How much did you say?"

Cao Yuande lowered his head, looked at the table, and pretended to be stupid: "I have forgotten what I just said. Do you want to remind me?"

Yang Bo sat down again and calculated based on the current price of gold of 300 yuan per gram, one ton of gold is worth 300 million, six thousand tons of gold, the total value exceeds 1800 billion!

This is a huge amount of money!

A huge sum of money that can even drive a country crazy!

Yang Bo looked at Cao Yuande, "If you have anything to do, just ask!"

Cao Yuande couldn't help laughing, "You are really a money addict. If I don't talk about money, you won't let go, right?"

Yang Bo laughed and said nothing.

"Do you know about the Golden Lily Plan?" Cao Yuande asked again.

Yang Bo nodded, ¡°I understand a little bit.¡±

Cao Yuande nodded, "That's good. Let me help you introduce the whole story of the missing Zhoukoudian remains!"

Cao Yuande recounted the whole incident in detail.

On December 2, 1928, Pei Wenzhong of Peking University unearthed a complete ape-man skull in Zhoukoudian. Before the Marco Polo Bridge Incident in July 1937, after eleven years of excavation in Zhoukoudian, more than 40 human bone fossils and a large number of stone tools were discovered.  .

The Zhoukoudian ape-man fossils were a priceless treasure. At that time, they were stored in a safe at the Imperial Union Medical College Hospital, and were kept and studied by the famous American anthropologist Wei Dunrui.

In early 1941, relations between Japan and the United States became tense.  Wei Dunrui suggested that it would be unsafe for the precious Teijing Man fossils to remain in Peiping under Japanese rule, and suggested that the fossils be temporarily transferred to the Museum of Natural History in New York for preservation, and then shipped to China after the war.  After repeated negotiations, China and the United States reached an agreement on this matter.  In mid-November, the U.S. Embassy in China received a call from Chongqing, instructing the U.S. Embassy in Beijing to be responsible for the transshipment.

On November 20, Dijing Union Hospital was ordered to secretly pack the Dijing ape-man fossil.  The fossils packed in the box include: 5 skulls, 15 skull fragments, 14 mandibles, 147 clavicle, thigh bones, upper arm bones, teeth, etc.  All the fossils were packed in two large wooden boxes and transported to the headquarters of the U.S. Marine Corps by the U.S. Legation, and U.S. Army Colonel Ashurst was ordered to escort them.

Colonel Ashurst ordered the soldiers to modify the two wooden boxes into standardized boxes specially designed for the US military, waiting for shipment.  According to the original plan, a ship "President Harrison" will arrive in Qinhuangdao from Shanghai on December 11, and then sail from Qinhuangdao to the United States.  U.S. Marine Corps medic Foley was ordered by the colonel to escort a total of 24 standardized boxes and his personal luggage to Dijing.?Qinhuangdao Holcumber U.S. Army Barracks, Foley will escort these fossils to the United States safely.

Something unexpected happened.  On December 7, the attack on Pearl Harbor broke out.  The Holcumber Barracks in Qinhuangdao was occupied by the Japanese army, and all U.S. Marines became prisoners.  Soon, these prisoners were escorted to Tianjin Prisoner of War Camp.  Ten days later, the luggage of the US military prisoners of war was transferred from Qinhuangdao to Tianjin. Most of Dr. Foley's luggage was still there, including the US military's special standardized box containing the Dijing ape-man fossil.

Dr. Faur¨¦ evacuated his remaining luggage, including standardized boxes, on the spot in Tianjin: some were stored in a warehouse built by Swiss businessmen in Tianjin, some were stored at the Pasteur Institute in the French Concession, and some were stored at the homes of Chinese friends.  Dr. Foley did not open the standardized boxes before the evacuation.

After the war, the whereabouts of the standardized box containing the Teijing ape-man fossils were unknown.  China's priceless treasure passed through the hands of the U.S. Marine Corps and traveled from Dijing to Qinhuangdao, from Qinhuangdao to Tianjin, and finally disappeared in Tianjin.

Where have the Dijing ape-man fossils gone?  One theory is that the standardized containers were loaded on the "President Harrison" ship in Qinhuangdao, but the ship unfortunately sank on its way to the United States.  The Teijing ape-man fossil sank to the bottom of the sea.  Some people say that the ship did not sink, but was intercepted by the Japanese army on the way. The fossils fell into the hands of the Japanese army and their whereabouts were later unknown.

Another theory is that the Dijing ape-man fossil never left the city of Peiping. It was buried in the backyard of the U.S. Embassy in Beijing.  A guard who served as a guard at the gate of the U.S. Marine Corps headquarters recalled that on the eve of the Pearl Harbor attack, he saw two people secretly burying a box of things in the yard. He estimated that it might be Teijing Man fossils.

After hearing this, Yang Bo frowned slightly and looked at Cao Yuande, "Is that all? Since you want me to find the remains, there should be more precise news!"

Cao Yuande smiled and said: "Don't be impatient. I haven't mentioned it yet. Recently, our special department discovered some undecrypted evidence during the confrontation with the Japanese. After receiving the translation, they discovered the remains of the Zhoukoudian ape man."  The whereabouts of the bones!¡±

"Where?" Yang Bo was a little surprised.
