    Chapter 27

Song Ran watched Li Zan disappear at the boarding gate. Behind her, the crew members of the flight she took got off the plane.

The stewardess asked in surprise: "Why are you still standing here? Let's go."

"Sorry." Song Ran pulled up the suitcase and trotted away.  She had just stepped out of the corridor when her cell phone rang. It was an unfamiliar number, Liang Cheng's.

She picked up immediately: "Hello? How are you?"

Over there, Li Zan probably didn¡¯t expect her to move so quickly. He paused and then whispered: ¡°It¡¯s me.¡±

She stopped by the floor-to-ceiling window and looked out at the tarmac. Her heart was beating lightly and she said, "I know it's you."

"Oh." He said, "Let me try and see if I remember the number correctly."

"I remember correctly." She said, "You have a really good memory."

After saying this, I realized that this was nonsense. If you don¡¯t have concentration and memory that are higher than ordinary people, how can you become one of the elite bomb disposal elites?

He asked: "Are you back from vacation?"

"Well, I went to see my mother." She said.  After saying this, he thought to himself that he would definitely wonder why his mother was not in Liangcheng.  But she didn't explain it, thinking there would be another chance in the future.

    She asked: "What about you?"

He paused and said, "On a business trip."

She asked: "Is it something related to bombs again?"

There was only background noise, but he didn't answer.

At this time, the voice of the in-flight announcement came from the other end of the phone, and he said: "Hang up first."

    "Good. Have a safe journey."

    "Um."

Song Ran put down the phone and looked out the window. She saw a thin layer of indoor scenery reflected on the glass, and her face with pursed lips floating on it.

It was not too late when we came out of the airport, but it got dark early in winter and was still a bit cold.

On the way home, Song Ran sat in the taxi, the coldness still lingering on her body, holding her mobile phone tightly in her hand like an important reassurance.

The next day at work, Song Rang just entered the TV station, and all the colleagues she passed along the way smiled at her.

Song Ran didn¡¯t know why. When she arrived on the floor of the Information Department, she walked into the office area and saw a large bouquet of flowers on her seat. Her colleagues were all smiling at her.

Song Ran became more and more puzzled and pulled out the card above and opened it. It read: "Congratulations to reporter Song Ran for winning the gold medal of the Dutch International Photography Awards with her photo candy. - Liangcheng Satellite TV News Department"

A miniature version of the photo was also attached to the card.

    Candy¡ª¡ªsong ran

    "Congratulations!!!" Colleagues burst into cheers.

Xiao Qiu came up and gave her a big hug: "Ran Ran, you are so awesome, I knew you would win the prize! The Pulitzer has not been announced yet, but it will definitely be yours too!"

Song Ran closed the card and smiled: "Thank you."

    Everyone came to congratulate:

    "Song Ran, congratulations."

    "This time you are famous."

"Why are you so anxious? This is just a warm-up. The Pulitzer in April is the real bombshell."

Song Ran thanked everyone. She put the flowers aside and stuffed the card into the drawer.

Since receiving treatment, she is not as prone to mood swings as before.

¡°Compared with psychological counseling, she believes that it is mainly due to taking medicine.  But the pills also have some side effects. Sometimes she feels like she's on drugs. She feels calm and positive after taking the pills, but after a while she falls into depression and self-doubt.

It seems that she is no longer Song Ran, but a jar of pill complex.

But the doctor told her not to examine herself or put pressure on her, and to take her time in treating the disease.

But now, having just taken medicine in the morning, she was very indifferent to winning the award. She was not excited, nor was she repulsed or afraid.

However, before she could sit down, Liu Yufei came to find her.

After she won the award, a bunch of leaders came to show their condolences, asked her if she had any difficulties at work, and promised her various loose policies and support in the future.

After meeting all the leaders, the morning has almost passed.

Song Ran had nothing urgent to do when she returned to the office. After thinking about it for a while, she unconsciously climbed over the wall and went to the external network.  At first she just checked private messages, and Sahin and many foreign journalist friends sent her congratulations.

She finished reading it absentmindedly and looked through other comments.  This time, critical voices have taken over.

A French newspaper even published a special report on candy¡¯s award.?.  "Li Zan said.

    Song Ran nodded.

People have been rescued.  Li Zan took the rescue registration form to the mall manager to sign.  After getting the signature and going downstairs, when I put it back in the police car, I heard someone chatting behind the fire truck.

Firefighter: "Is that the new auxiliary police officer?"

    Policeman: "Yeah."

"He's very skilled, he doesn't look like an ordinary person."

"He is from the special operations team. He looks young, he is a captain."

    "Wow! Why are you here?"

"I'm a little disabled and I'm recovering from my injury."

"Hey, that's a pity. If you're disabled, you'll have no future as a civilian. From now on, you can only hang out in the army."

"Yes, I heard that he is a bomb disposal expert. He has accomplished so much at such a young age." The policeman gestured with his fingers. "If there are no injuries, I don't know how high an official he will be promoted to in the future. What a pity"

Li Zan closed the police car door and took a detour to leave.

The snow is still falling and it is already dark.

The crowd of people watching in front of the shopping mall had already dispersed, leaving behind a dark slush and footprints.

Song Ran had put the camera away and put it on her back.  She stood under the eaves of the shopping mall, her hands in her pockets, looking at the snowflakes flying in the night sky.

A familiar figure approached from the corner of my eye.

She lowered her gaze, and Li Zan trotted over to her from the police car on the roadside. He flicked the snow on his eyelashes and smiled slightly: "Long time no see."

She had met him at the airport not long ago, but she knew what he meant.

She looked at him carefully.  That day at the airport, she was so excited that she didn't look at him seriously.

It¡¯s been almost five months since I last saw him. He has lost a lot of weight, but his eyes are still clear.

She stared at him, pursed her lips and smiled.

He also smiled gently and asked, "What's wrong?"

She pointed to the base of her ears and said, "Your hair has grown longer and is different from before."

Li Zan smiled and raised his hand to rub it casually. He was no longer the same as before.  He looked at her again and said, "You should cut your hair short."

    ¡°Isn¡¯t it good-looking?¡±

He was stunned for a moment, his eyes flashed, and his voice lowered: "It's beautiful."

Song Ran looked at his right ear, carefully distinguished it, and determined that it was an inline hearing aid.

When he saw it, his expression was indifferent.

    ¡°What¡¯s wrong with the ears?¡±

"It was a small injury, but it's normal now."

Song Ran stopped smiling and asked seriously, "Are you okay?"

    Li Zan said: "Very good."

She was still looking at him, so he explained: "It's an assignment in the team. The work is easy and not dangerous. It's nice to be able to go home every day and have weekends."

Song Ran looked at his gentle expression and didn't know whether his words were true or false.

    He asked: "What about you?"

"I'm fine too." Song Ran smiled and said, "Everything is fine at home, work is going well, and I am in a good mood every day. In short, everything is fine."

With a faint smile in his eyes, he always looked directly into her eyes quietly. After listening, he said softly: "You still won a prize, right?"

Song Ran blushed, clasped her fingers, and nodded: "An unexpected gain. I didn't even expect it."

"Congratulations, Reporter Song." He said, the sincerity and tenderness in his eyes made her feel weak for no reason.

She stared at him, wanting to say something,

At this moment, a policeman came out of the shopping mall after finishing his work. As he passed by, he greeted: "A-Zan, stop the team."

"Hey." Li Zan raised his head and replied, then looked at her again and whispered, "Let's go."

Song Ran didn¡¯t say a word and nodded mechanically, feeling reluctant but knowing that he couldn¡¯t speak.

    "You" She hesitated.

Li Zan, who had just turned around, stopped and looked back at her: "Huh?"

"Where do you work?" Song Ran smiled and shook the press card in his hand, "In case I need your help one day."

He smiled and said: "Baixi Road."

The office building of Liangcheng Satellite TV is within the jurisdiction of Baixi Road Police Station.

"Oh." Song Ran smiled, "What a coincidence."

"You are doing social news. If you need to ask anything, just come to me."

    "OK."

"Let's go." He said goodbye again.

"Yeah. Goodbye." She grinned and waved to him.

Li Zan quickly stepped into the wind and snow without looking back.

He got into the passenger seat of the police car and looked in the rearview mirror.

In the white snowy night, Song Ran stood there and watched. After standing for a few seconds, she held up a black umbrella and walked into the snow.

He watched the figure disappear. Suddenly, his ears became silent again and he couldn't hear anything.  After a few seconds of silence, it began to roar.

He lowered his head and rubbed his temples vigorously.

Beside, policeman Xiaojia reached out and touched the back of his head and asked, "What's wrong? Your head hurts again?"

Li Zan didn¡¯t hear it, but he guessed it. He shook his head gently: ¡°No. Let¡¯s drive.¡± (Remember this website¡¯s website address: www.hlnovel.com)p; He got into the passenger seat of the police car and looked in the rearview mirror.
