Chapter 777 The Ultimate¡ªThe Fire Stealer

After looking at each other with his family, Lu Xin walked forward and approached the church step by step.

The church in this bleak town is unusually quiet compared to the residents of the town who are full of madness and violence.  This seemed to be the only place where no living creatures existed.  However, when he got close to this place, he could faintly feel that his body seemed to be filled with countless invisible ghosts and shadows, which were exaggeratedly rotating around him in a place very close to reality.

Lu Xin could even feel their faces roaring against the tip of his nose and their nails scratching the back of his neck.

But Lu Xin turned a blind eye to them, and just walked slowly to the front of the church, stopped for a moment, and then raised his hand

    ¡Knock on the door.

    ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

He knocked very gently on the dilapidated wooden door of the church and asked politely:

"Excuse me, is there anyone inside?"

    ""

    ""

The moment the knock on the door rang, all the illusory shadows suddenly disappeared without a trace, as if they were frightened.

But Lu Xin just stood calmly in front of the church door.

He knocked on the door quietly and asked politely.

¡°After all, my mother said, you must be polite before fighting.

When he knocked on the door, you could clearly see that his father was so nervous that his shadow was trembling slightly. Normally, even if he was facing an entire city, he could still have an absolute sense of high status, and he could take over the entire city in an instant.  The city has swallowed up the confidence, but now, facing this small, dilapidated church that seems to collapse with a slight push, I feel a little guilty.

Inside the church, no one responded.

So after a slight silence, Lu Xin gently raised his hand and pushed open the church door.

    "Squeak"

The rough door shaft made a sharp noise, and the cold wind took the opportunity to flow in as Lu Xin pushed the door open.

Lu Xin took a deep breath and walked into the church.

He saw the simple decoration inside this small church.

The church is not big, with only a dozen rows of empty chairs arranged slightly compactly in the hall.

??Further forward, there is a statue of a god whose upper body is submerged in darkness, with his head lowered to the left, like a desperate man.

There seemed to be no electricity in the church, and there were only three or four rows of stubby white candles burning under the statue of the god.

As the wind from outside blew in, the flames of the candles swayed, messing up the surrounding light.

Lu Xin's eyes glanced lightly and saw the only person in the church.

It was an old man wearing missionary clothing with gray hair, sitting quietly on the third row of benches, bowing his head in prayer.

After seeing him, Lu Xin glanced at the statue in front of him.

With my eyes that had just adapted to the light inside the church, I could clearly see the appearance of the statue above

    ¡There are no facial features.

That was clearly a faceless statue.

This old man dressed like a missionary prayed alone to the faceless statue in an empty church.

    ¡¡

    ¡¡

    "It's really you"

Before Lu Xin could think of how to speak to this lonely missionary, an angry voice suddenly appeared behind him.

    It¡¯s the father.

He immediately followed Lu Xin and walked in, and immediately saw the old man's back.

For a moment, his eyes shot out with extremely fierce hatred.

The black shadow around him was swept up like a robe blown up by the strong wind.

Lu Xin could even feel the substantial hatred in him, pouring out towards the old man crazily.

"I haven't seen you for thirty years, so you are still alive"

"When you betrayed me, attacked me, took away my power, and ruined my honor, did you ever think that I would come after you?"

    ""

"Once my father's roar sounded, he couldn't hold it back. He was as angry asjust like swearing.

    "Were you attacked by him?"

Lu Xin automatically blocked his father's curses, but he caught some interesting secrets from his voice.

This also made him slightly curious, and he was suddenly very interested in his father's past.

    "Of course it's him"

Father heard Lu Xin¡¯sThere was a slight movement in her chest, and she couldn't help but look at her mother.

At this time, my mother didn¡¯t react when someone revealed her identity, but her face looked a little sad.

This kind of sadness is similar to the sadness she felt when she mentioned the sword holder before.

But there is something more than that kind of sadness.

After a long time, she shook her head gently and said:

"I just made sure that there is no correct destiny, every intersection is reasonable"

    "but¡¡"

After a slight pause, she turned to look at Lu Xin, her eyes becoming gentle: "I did find it."

    ¡¡

    ¡¡

When his mother looked at Lu Xin, the old fire thief also looked at Lu Xin.

There was a gentle smile in his eyes, and he said softly: "Hello."

Lu Xin was startled for a moment, then nodded to the old man and replied politely: "Hello."

The old man¡¯s smile became gentler, and he suddenly said: ¡°If you were asked to choose the most important thing in this world.¡±

    "So, what will you choose?"

    ""

    "?"

Lu Xin faced this question coldly, somewhat unprepared.

Turning around to look at my mother, I wanted to tentatively ask if there was a standard answer to this question.

But her mother didn¡¯t give her any advice, and seemed to feel at ease letting herself answer his questions.

So Lu Xin had no choice but to think about it seriously, looked up at the old man, and replied softly:

    "Life."

    ""

This old man¡¯s question seems to not allow him to answer too many words.

Therefore, Lu Xin could only give such a short answer.

In fact, he had a lot to say.

For example, living a decent and wealthy life in an orderly and civilized world.

For example, in an orderly and civilized world where everyone is happy, free, safe and interesting, live a relaxed and decent life, and spend money in the right way to buy back what you want.  Or a life of making money back.

There needs to be order, there needs to be civilization, and everyone needs to be happy and free.

Even if this kind of life is not perfect, at least it should give people a direction:

I can become rich if I work hard, and I won¡¯t starve to death on the streets if I don¡¯t work hard.

¡This is what the old dean told them countless times, life in the pre-civilized era.

    ¡¡

    ¡¡

Lu Xin¡¯s answer was very simple. I felt that these two words could not accurately convey what I meant.

However, the old man seemed to understand and nodded with a smile.

Then he said to his mother: "I didn't expect that you, who is looking into destiny, would find such a simple and unpretentious person."

Mom said calmly: "If you are too ambitious, you can easily get into trouble and hurt innocent people."

The old man thought carefully for a while and said with a smile, "Yes."

As he spoke, he stood up gently.

Until then, his eyes swept over his father and his sister, who was carrying a small gray backpack next to Lu Xin.

There seemed to be a smile in his eyes, and then he came to the statue and opened a hidden compartment under the statue.

??????????????????????????????????????? There seemed to be a faint black box inside, and thick darkness emanated from the box.

    "That'smine¡¡"

When my father saw the box, he let out a low growl in his excited throat.

    "So, come on"

The old man stood quietly in front of the box, his hands hanging down naturally and clasped in front of him, smiling at Lu Xin's family.

In the church, at this moment, an endless and crazy roar suddenly sounded. It seemed that on a level very close to reality, a violent and sinister monster suddenly appeared.  A mushy howl.

The old man¡¯s voice seemed quiet and calm in this boundless madness:

"Let me see if you can take it back."
