    "Qi Yan."

Hearing the sound, Qi Yan shuddered.  He forced himself to suppress the shock in his heart: "Your Highness?"

"Come and sleep on the bed, as a reward for carrying me back home."

"I can just sleep on the small couch"

"How can you sleep without a quilt? Come on! I'm sleepy."

    "yes."

Qi Yan raised his hand and fumbled twice. Nangong Jingnu took the initiative to grab Qi Yan's hand: "Let's go."

    "Thank you, Your Highness."

The two got on the Babu bed, and Nangong Jingnu lay down in it: "Just sleep." After saying this, she felt that this sentence was a bit strange, so she simply turned her back to Qi Yan.

"Yes." Qi Yan lay quietly beside the bed. The bed was very big, and there was at least two people's distance between them.

Soon, the sound of Nangong Jingnu¡¯s even breathing was heard. It was her limit to be able to persist in sleeping until now.

Qi Yan's heart was filled with desolation and no sleepiness at all.

People in the grasslands are born with keen senses, and Qi Yan is even sharper than ordinary people in the grasslands.

After entering the Wei Kingdom, we were even more cautious and vigilant at all times.  However, she was not aware of Nangong Jingnu's arrival just now!

This situation only happens to your parents, Xiaodie and Bayin

No!  That's definitely not the case, I'm just too absorbed in thinking.

It was pitch dark inside the palace, and the red palace lantern outside the window was so conspicuous.

Nangong Jingnu¡¯s appearance when she made a wish flashed before her eyes: Since you are so afraid of death, I will make a wish for you

The wound in her heart that was as big as a pinprick oozed blood again: the old thief Nangong and his nine sons and three daughters together were not enough to pay the blood debt of supporting the Li family. She would not let any of these people go!

Qi Yan has never wavered in her desire for revenge, but as the time they get together grows, whenever she deliberately deceives Nangong Jingnu, she gets sincere feedback from the other party, which makes her chest feel tight!

Qi Yan would rather Nangong Jingnu be aloof and treat him like a subordinate.

But unfortunately, her current status determines that she must gain the sincerity and trust of the other party.

The conflict has long been forged and there is no way out.

    "Your Highness?"

    No response.

Qi Yan then tightened her grip on the brocade quilt and showed an impudent and silent smile.

Your Highness, before I kill you with my own hands, I will treat you sincerely.

Qi Yan, who was as smart as she was, naturally understood what this thought meant. She felt pity for the daughter of her enemy, and eveneven thought of "spare her life."

The guilt and self-blame for her family and the grassland tore at her heart: Such thoughts are an unforgivable sin.

Those compatriots who were enslaved by the Wei people had no clothes on their bodies and no food to eat. They did the most menial work every day and had to endure random beatings and scoldings from the supervisors.  Even if they were beaten to death, they would not have to bear any consequences. The bodies would be dumped in mass graves without anyone to bury them

Except for their edible value, the status of grassland people in the Wei Kingdom is the same as that of livestock.

Qi Yan seemed to see those enslaved prairie people standing in rows in front of her, staring at her with their amber eyes, silently condemning her "mercy" to the daughter of her enemy.

Qi Yan was sweating profusely, holding her left chest with a very painful expression, and real pain came from inside.

She curled up and gritted her teeth without saying a word, while Nangong Jingnu fell into a deep sleep beside her.

    ¡¡

    The Royal Palace.

Nangong Rang visited the palaces of Concubine Hui and the fourth concubine respectively, and then returned to Ganquan Palace alone.

Even though Concubine Hui had to stay, Nangong Rang still didn't stay.

Today is New Year¡¯s Eve, and according to palace etiquette, the emperor must sleep with the queen.

Concubine Hui is also a wonderful person. She entered the palace early, knows etiquette and is sensible, and she also gave birth to two princes.  He does seem to be the best candidate to succeed him.

But only Nangong made it clear to himself: he would never be able to establish a successor in this life.

He and the Ma family were a young couple. At that time, the Nangong family was just a small and unknown family. As the legitimate daughter of the Ma family, a large family in Longdong, marrying into the Nangong Mansion was regarded as a second marriage.

When he got married to Ma, Nangong Rang was just a young scholar. It was Ma who took the initiative to give him a generous dowry to help him find a way. Ma took half of the credit for his current status.

The woman after?  Which one didn't marry because of the status of Nangong Mansion?  Why didn't he see them when he was unknown?

    &weather.  "

Nangong Shunv¡¯s heart tightened, and the maids behind her retreated one after another.

The palace door was closed, and Lu Zhongxing staggered over.  Those intrusive and probing eyes wanted to eat her alive.

Nangong Shunv took half a step back and said calmly: "The consort is drunk, please rest early."

Lu Zhongxing smiled evilly and walked over step by step.

Nangong Shunu retreated again, but Lu Zhongxing picked up her arm and held her in his hand.

    "ah!"

Lu Zhongxing was a military attach¨¦, and his slender arms were easily grasped in his hands. Nangong Shunu couldn't help but let out a cry of pain.

The next moment, Lu Zhongxing pulled Nangong Shunu into his arms, pressed her lower back with one hand and squeezed twice, lowered his head and put it on Nangong Shunu's neck and took a deep breath: "It's so late, why don't you  Go take a bath, but do you know that your husband wants you to become a complete woman tonight?"

Hearing these frivolous words, Nangong Shunu felt nauseated in her heart: "Prince-in-law, please respect yourself!" But the trembling final voice betrayed her nervousness.

"Self-respect? The red light at the door was not lit by the princess? It's obviously the princess who is full of spring, why are you pretending to be a martyr?"

Lu Zhongxing knew about the red lights on New Year's Eve. He said this partly because of his accumulated resentment for not marrying the person he loved.  On the other hand, he "received" Nangong Shunu's anger at the palace banquet, but he just "looked at her with cold eyes", and at this moment, he took advantage of the wine and courage to deliberately humiliate her with words.

Nangong Shunv¡¯s pretty face turned pale with anger, her body was trembling, she bit her lower lip and a tear of humiliation escaped from the corner of her eyes.  She pushed Lu Zhongxing's chest with all her strength, but facing the powerful man, she was no more than a mantis.

    ¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù¡ù

Please allow me to pause for a moment. In fact, the details of the story have been clearly conceived for a long time, but I still feel a little distressed when I write this.

Shunu had a female CP, but according to my original idea, Lu Zhongxing raped her, and due to some physical reasons, a lot of things happened after Shunu became popular.

But as I write this, I really feel a little bit unbearable.

Actually, the reason why I think this book is sad is that there are no complete bad guys in this book.

It¡¯s not like some kind of cool novel. The bad guy¡¯s personality and character setting are too flat, like an NPC.  After being killed, the readers all feel a little bit of pleasure.

And there seems to be no such "pure" person in this book of mine.

    for example:

Nangong Rang destroyed the grassland, but he still had deep love for his first wife and his love for his legitimate daughter.  For a king, it is unprecedented.

Although Qi Yan¡¯s life experience is very miserable, she has indeed been completely darkened.

The masked person seems to have a "perverted" character, but who knows her story?

Chuntao and Qiuju are both maids, why did Qi Yan choose Chuntao?  Isn¡¯t it because some of her behaviors and character have ¡°flaws¡± that make it easier for her to succeed?

Is Lu Zhongxing at fault?  If he married Nangong Jingnu, he must be a gentle man. After all, he had been waiting for Nangong Jingnu for many years, and he didn't even have a girl to marry him.

Is the girl at fault?  No, it can only be said that her personality is not suitable for Lu Zhongxing, and as a concubine, she values ??"dignity" more and cannot look at problems as openly as Jingnu, so she will not forgive Lu Zhongxing, and this marriage is doomed  Bitter fruit.

If there is a truly innocent person in this book, it might be Xiaodie.

Nangong Jingnu¡¯s merits and character are my favorite so far, but there is nothing wrong with repaying a father¡¯s debt to his son, let alone a legitimate daughter who is favored by thousands of people.  There is original sin in her body.  Just like a company, you inherit assets and also assume liabilities.

I don¡¯t know if this is a disease. I respect the ¡°personality¡± of my characters very much. Once the setting is completed, they are friends in my heart who deserve to be treated equally.  And when I write about these completed characters, most of them respect their personalities and choices. When it comes to some major decisions, I will turn off my perspective of the Emperor of Heaven, imagine myself as the other person, and inherit the other person's values, personality, etc.  Think about factors, and never forcefully distort it to get a certain point from readers.

So please give me a day to think about whether Shunu¡¯s future should respect my original intention.

But no matter how it develops in the future, I have my own considerations. After all, it is like this, and I have nothing to worry about. I consider it entirely from a literary perspective.

This novel took me a lot of effort, really too much.  (Remember the website address: www.hlnovel.com
