The moon was light and the stars were sparse, and the night was heavy with dew. Ning Mujin was dressed in a thin gauze, leaning against the window lattice, frowning quietly looking at the bright moon in the sky.  Accompanied by the gentle breeze, the lock of fine hair on Ning Mujin's forehead was blown, she raised her hand to gently brush it away, and sighed melancholy.

"Why are you sighing?" A deep and pleasant voice suddenly sounded from behind.

Ning Mujin was taken aback, and turned to look at King Hanling, only to see that his face was neither happy nor angry, but he was holding a bouquet of hibiscus flowers tightly in his hand.

Slightly stunned, Ning Mujin stared at Han Ling's long and narrow phoenix eyes, raised her eyebrows and smiled lightly: "My lord is very interested. I came to the Mujin Pavilion late at night. Could it be that the Zhe Mujinhua is here?"

"Do you still have the guts to mention Mu Jinhua?" His black eyes were slightly pregnant with anger and burning flames, and his expression was as deep as the gloom and gloom before the storm.

"Why didn't you mention it? It was the prince who compared me to a hibiscus flower." Ning Muzhen returned a faint smile from King Hanling, then looked at the bare and empty hibiscus tree branches in the courtyard, and hummed softly: "My lord  What I like is the peony, but I blame the hibiscus flower for occupying the spring garden, I propose to pick off the hibiscus flower as a taboo, isn't it just to help the prince clean up these annoying things?"

"Are you blaming this king for underestimating you?" King Hanling walked to the carved sandalwood chair, and threw the hibiscus flower in his hand on the table.  It filled the entire table, and the fragrance of flowers overflowed everywhere.

His eyes were deep, and he stared at her sharply, and said with a sullen expression: "This king asks you, what is your purpose for coming back this time?"

Ning Mujin said nothing, just walked slowly to the table, and stretched out her hand to rearrange the scattered flower branches one by one. The breeze blew into the room from the window, and her long hair danced with the wind, a scent completely different from the fragrance of hibiscus flowers.  There was a faint fragrance, which was the fragrance of pear blossoms, which she found on the dressing table when she returned to Mujin Pavilion in the evening.

Heh, Li Ran is the only one who knows that she likes this kind of hair lotion. I didn't expect him to come to Hanling Palace.  Thinking of this, the bitterness in Ning Mujin's heart was slightly relieved.

A deadlocked silence hung between the two for a long time, Ning Mujin kept her head buried and quietly fiddled with the bouquet in her hand, finally, Han Ling couldn't stand the oppressive atmosphere.  He violently pulled Ning Muzhen's bright wrist, and said angrily: "Don't think that if you don't tell me, this king doesn't know what you came back for! Ning Muzhen! I warn you, you are not allowed to hurt Xia Keqing, otherwise"

Ning Mujin raised her head suddenly, the indifference and unfamiliarity in her eyes made Hanling King stop talking.

She looked at him, the softness in her eyes dissipated, and turned to cover with a thin layer of frost, showing coldness to him, and said coldly: "Otherwise, what does the prince want? Kill me? Let me be like this garden full of spring hibiscus,  Has the fragrance faded away before the full season of flowers?"

She shook off her hand vigorously, breaking free from his restraints, with a sneer on the corner of her lips, which seemed to be ridiculed, angry, or aggrieved, and there was a sense of perseverance and unyielding in her slightly choked words.

"Have you ever thought about it, my lord, that I came back voluntarily? If possible, I really hope that Ning Mujin's fall from the cliff a year ago can be the end of everything. If possible, I hope that you and I are not husband and wife. If there is a destiny,  If we meet by chance, our relationship will be even better than our current relationship! It¡¯s a pity not From the moment I woke up in this world, I was doomed not to escape the fate of the Ning clan. In this life, any of my hopes and expectations will become extravagant hopes. Just ask  , can the prince understand that feeling?"

King Han Ling stared at Ning Mujin and couldn't help squinting his eyes. Under the gaze of her clear and rippling eyes, he gradually felt embarrassed, and the corners of his strong brows softened a little. Did hehave done a little too much to her?  ?

Seeing that King Hanling didn't respond, Feng Luoge laughed and lowered his head, and murmured: "Forget it, you won't understand."

How could he understand the loss and fear of suddenly realizing that his own destiny was dominated by him and that he had no ability to resist?

Ning Muzhen turned around and walked to the red sandalwood wardrobe, took out a light-colored cloak from it, put it on herself, and walked feebly towards the door.

"It's so late? Where are you going out?" King Hanling frowned, his eyes were puzzled and even more worried, but he didn't notice it himself, and Ning Mujin, whose back was turned to her, was even more invisible.

"Look at the scenery." Ning Mujin replied in a low voice, pushed open the door, and with a flick of her skirt, she disappeared in front of King Hanling in an instant like a gust of wind.

The moonlight is soft, like a layer of vast silver veil quietly covering the earth, but Ning Mujin has no intention of enjoying the gentle comfort bestowed by the sky. Looking at her slanted figure under the moonlight, she feels endless loneliness in her heart.

She is just a ray of ghost from another world, before she died, she was just an ordinaryAn ordinary office worker, no matter how realistic and dark the society is, she is just an ordinary young woman who is used to intrigue and gossip in the company, but still has her own little dream and the future she wants  .  But now?  She was forced to be reborn in this strange era, forced to be involved in the vortex of power struggles, and even forced to accept her own destiny without any room for negotiation.

what is this?  A husband who doesn't love her, an emperor who sees her clearly, and a family that traps her to death.

The inner struggle made Ning Muzhen feel a sudden pain, she stopped suddenly, clutched her chest, and squatted down in pain.

It hurtsit hurtsNing Mujin sneered suddenly, ha ha, what a joke She just thought about it, such a meaningless struggle would also cause angina.

"Hey, I told you earlier that you need to be calm when you do things. You ran out like this after you flirted with King Hanling, how do you want me to say hello?"

A slow sigh came from beside him, Yichen was dressed in white clothes, and his slender figure blocked the bright moonlight for Ning Mujin.

Ning Mujin looked at him, smiled palely, and said, "You don't need to say anything to me, just help me up."

Li Ran had no choice but to laugh, and stretched out his hand to help Ning Muzhen's strands of black hair falling down her cheeks to behind her ears, then picked up Ning Muzhen, and walked slowly towards Hanling Palace.

The night was as cool as water, Ning Mujin leaned against Li Ran's chest, the intimate distance allowed her to feel his warm heartbeat and the faint fragrance of pear blossoms on his body.

"Li Ran, do you have a last name?" Ning Mujin suddenly asked a question that she hadn't asked him in the past year.

Li Ran suddenly stopped, leaned over to look at Ning Mujin in his arms, stared at her quietly with bright starry eyes, his eyes were serious, put away his usual indifference, and his voice was still soft, "No."

"Really?" Ning Mujin smiled brightly, pushed Liran away, and landed on both feet, "I'm much better, I can go by myself."

She didn't say anything more to him, turned around and left alone, just that moment of glance, the sadness in her eyes made his heart ache slightly.

The moonlight was as cold as frost, she smiled lightly, but he finally refused to reveal too much to her.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
