    Author: Shi Yuchun

    One of the earliest well-known tyrants in China, in my impression, is King Yin Zhou.  This impression, on the one hand, comes from history; on the other hand, it comes from the magical and exquisite portrayal of the novel "Fengshen Yanyi".

    The "violence" of a tyrant is often expressed in an administrative way.  This kind of administration includes various policies, guidelines, and behaviors that are unbearable for the people, as well as the various evil consequences caused by them.  Some of this kind of administration are rough, some are brutal, some are naked and direct violence, some are coercive, some are powerful, some are grotesque, some are absurd, some are beneficial to stun the mind, some have the power to cause confusion, some are lawless, and some do evil.  Some are self-deceiving, some are arrogant, some are corrupt and anointed by the people, some are fighting for civil rights and interests

    According to the above summary of rape, the reason why King Zhou of Yin was dubbed the title of "tyrant" is, of course, the most important proof is the rape he carried out, which is recorded and described in history and novels.

    What is the result?

    First of all, the people are oppressed and enslaved; then the people are extremely patient; finally, when they can no longer bear it, it is the people's outbreak.  So, after the riots, the mob was born.  In other words, the result of violence is to create mobs, and mobs are the inevitable product of violence.

    The mob mentioned here can also be extended, not limited to the word "mob" in the ordinary sense (people who beat up, smashed, looted and burned indiscriminately).

    First of all, the so-called "violence" of the mob is an outburst of popular sentiment after the revolution.  No matter how kind-hearted the people are, there is a critical point for their emotional outbursts after the abuse. This critical point, the lines in the movie are very vivid, is the point in time when "there is no more toleration, no more toleration"  .

    Of course, the critical point of this kind of emotional outburst is different in different eras; different eras also have different manifestations.

    I think, generally, but the following:

    In the era of slavery, what everyone was fighting for was life. When life was threatened and the group was threatened with death, the critical point was reached;

    In the feudal era, what everyone was fighting for was life, and life was not guaranteed, and when the group could not survive, it was a critical point;

    In the post-feudal era, what everyone is fighting for is rights, and rights are not guaranteed, and when the rights of groups are trampled on wantonly, the critical point has come;

    In the true democratic era, what everyone is fighting for is freedom and dignity. When there is no freedom and no dignity, the humanity and spirit of the group are shackled, and the dignity of the group is wiped out, the critical point is reached.

    When the violence of a certain era causes the public's emotions to reach a critical point, the public's emotions will explode. Of course, this outbreak is not an individual event, it is a group reaction.  And, it must be reminded, that such outbursts of emotion are contagious and can permeate an infinite group.

    One of the most important reasons why King Muye of Yin Zhou was defeated was that his soldiers defected in battle.  In my opinion, this cold-blooded defection is a kind of rebellion by the people against the abuse of the tyranny, and it is an explosion of emotions accumulated over a long period of time at a critical point.

    After King Zhou of Yin, every change of dynasty was assisted by the explosion of popular emotions.  This is the first manifestation of the mob after the riot.

    Secondly, the most important manifestation of the violence of the mob is to rise up, burn, kill and loot, and stand on its own hills.  This kind of behavior is not only revenge against the gangster, but also a psychological reflection of "after being abused, I want to abuse others".  The consequences of gangsters must be to cause violent counterattacks by the mob against gangsters and their followers.  The results are as follows: first, it directly led to the subversion of the Communist Party and sent the Communist Group to Huangquan Road;  The rise of new gangs; the fourth is to give a warning to all groups that have been established, are being established, or intend to establish gangs. The mob after the gang is unstoppable and may send you all to the gallows and guillotine.

    In addition, there is another evil result of the first, which is to produce mob habits other than the above.  This kind of mob habit is to use evil to control evil and destroy the system; do not abide by the law, and use violence to replace violence.

    The most representative embodiment of the mob habits in China should be Zhang Xianzhong, a bandit, local ruffian and executioner described in "Shu Ji" by Gu Shanzhen of the Qing Dynasty.

    I compiled this record into text and published it, and it was also abused by a small number of "peasant uprising heroes", the hearsay "Qiu Qing faction", and the "follower faction" who followed suit.  Just scold me, my original intention is not what they think, and they insist on distorting my words according to their own prejudices and prejudices, and I have no choice.  When I bring up this topic again today, I would like to add and declare that I do not discriminate against all real "peasant heroes", but I oppose any beastly behavior under the pretext of revolution; I do not agree with the Qing government, ???I am opposed to the rashness and superficiality of "being ignorant of Qing history, but simply summarizing a dynasty with the four words 'corrupt and incompetent'";  Fever blind obedience.

    Let's talk about Zhang Xianzhong.  Although there are many later generations who reported Zhang Xianzhong's injustice and tried their best to excuse him because of the records in "Shu Ji".  However, as a supplement to historical materials, or to take a step back¡ªthat is, to view this book as a novel, it also enriches the content of history, and it also makes a vivid mark for the habits of the mob after the Communist Party.  This is not a bad thing either.

    ?History will be turned page by page, and after the war, the mob will make the gang into a mess, and pay for the crime. It sounds cruel, but the bloody reality of history is right in front of us, and it cannot be denied.

    No matter whether it is official history, unofficial history, or other history, the purpose of writing them is not only to satisfy some people's hobby of buying old things, but more importantly, it is to give human beings a reference and give the later rulers a look at the past of society.  , so that those in power can be vigilant when governing, and can be awakened when problems arise; let the people have a comparison when facing history, and have some rationality when going to the future.

    From a historical point of view, if you come out to hang out, you have to pay back!  Unscrupulous violence will inevitably produce lawless mobs.  The mob is the executioner created by the oppressor to kill himself and the gravedigger to bury himself.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
