¡ª¡ªThe man's midlife crisis in the movie "Urban Buffalo"

If you have time and don't want to do anything, just sit down quietly and watch a movie.

This is one of the things that an old man like me does when I'm bored or troubled.  Probably a lot of boring little boys will do the same.  However, the age is different, the state of mind is naturally different, and the feeling of watching movies will be very different, right?

Recently, my life has been a little unstable.

It is said that men also have the so-called "menopause".  After thinking about my recent state carefully, it's a bit weird, and I'm a little scared when I think about it.  No way!  Could it be that my "menopause" has come so early?

    My God!

When I woke up in the middle of the night, I would not be able to fall asleep and would toss and turn. This is a rare situation in the past 20 or 30 years.

I don't want to move, I don't want to read, I don't want to write, I don't want to practice my favorite tunes.

Except for the occasional singing and opera, which can prove that I am still a little bit alive, the rest is a scene of lethargy.

? When I suddenly became interested, I would also tidy up my room. The things I did most were cooking, eating, cleaning pots and washing dishes.

An imposing man is like a woman!

    My God!

Our country people have two sentences, which can be completely compared to my recent situation:

One sentence is: "Doing miscellaneous work and gouging out the smoke pot".

One sentence is: "coax the baby to collect eggs".

I won't explain these two sentences in detail, it's a waste of space.  If anyone is interested in rural life, you can contact me, and I can tell him/her slowly for free.

    I'm bored!

That day, I was watching "Urban Buffalo", a comedy film translated as "Urban Slicker".

Three young men fell into an inexplicable confusion amidst the boredom of city life.  So, there was a two-week vacation to experience the life of cowboys, trying to stimulate the passion for life, and the result was fulfilled!  The plot is as simple as it sounds, but the deduction process of the story is worth savoring slowly.

Regarding the name of the movie, whether it is "Urban Hillbilly" or "Urban Slicker", I don't think it is very accurate.  Perhaps, because of cultural differences, our understanding of slicker is not as thorough as that of Americans.  "city slickers" is actually talking about the middle-aged crisis, and the way the protagonist of the movie solves the middle-aged crisis.  Therefore, I think that the translation of the title of this film as "Midlife Crisis" is closer to my understanding of the film.

The words at the beginning are about my own state. Compared with the movie, I found that I also have a crisis.

    My God!

Three men, how did the crisis come about?

One suddenly lost passion.  There is no enthusiasm for work, and the confrontation with the supervisor during that period is evidenced by the removal of the right to choose advertising.  Without enthusiasm for life, the speech to the children made life very monotonous and boring.  His lack of enthusiasm for life mainly comes from his wife, because her closest lover sees melancholy in his eyes, and sees the routine of married life.

The other was suddenly caught in a predicament.  On the wedding day, it was his happiest and happiest day.  That day, he had a wife, assets, a job, and a family.  But that's when the disaster also began, with a grumpy father-in-law he called a Nazi, and a wife who yelled at him and treated him like a slave.  The things in front of him seemed to belong to him, but they were all in the hands of others, even including his fate.  Everything about him is the result of being dependent on others.  The result was a lot of stress and deep pain for him.  Think about it, a normal man has not had sex for twelve years in his married life.

    My God!

It's really beyond the imagination of normal people!

A "great man" in China said: "Where there is oppression, there is resistance."  Therefore, he will have sex with the little clerk in the store.  Judges, you must not say that this man is irresponsible, that this man has a mistress.  In fact, he is very pitiful, and his reaction is what can happen to normal men.  Because, he has completely reached the brink of collapse!  Later in the movie, he almost killed the two ruffians with a gun to prove it.  He also said at the time that he had guns in his store and that he had played with them many times.  If it weren't for this period of cowboy life, I guess, he might have ruined his father-in-law and his tigress-like wife described by Mr. Lao She.  It's a pity that this wife doesn't have the desire of a woman like Huniu.

I really dare not think about it!

    My God!

Another one is not yetPlay enough.  A man in his forties should have settled down, but this one just didn't.  He married a beautiful model, but his wife's pregnancy caused him confusion and fear.  He didn't want to end the two-person world so soon, he was afraid that the triviality of the child would no longer allow him to play in this world freely.

In fact, it is not only the three of them, that era, and those people who are facing a midlife crisis; people in this era and this age group will have such crises, or more and more complicated crises than this.  Moreover, this crisis will consume many people.  Not many people can find an effective way to solve the problem in their own crisis. Everyone will suffer, numb, grow old, and even die.

In order to give those who live in crisis a spiritual comfort, so as not to live too hopelessly.  Therefore, the screenwriters and directors hope to use this cowboy experience to sharpen the majesty, enthusiasm and vitality of these three men and more men;  light.

I won't talk about other plots, let's watch the show by ourselves!  Tell me about that old cowboy.  The role of the old man is not much, but enough to steal the spotlight.

If the three old men are suffering people who are ups and downs in the sea of ??evil, then the old cowboy is the Zen master who makes them "can sail with a reed".

?The crisis in life, from a Buddhist point of view, is mostly born from the mind.  The so-called "heart demon" and "heart Buddha" have been tempered for as many rounds as the sands of the Ganges River before they come to the true meaning.

The fetters of foreign objects are all because our hearts have not let go.  We always have things we can't let go of, so we have a heavy burden on our bodies and hearts.

What life is, is actually very simple.

The group of cattle that returned to the farm after going through all kinds of difficulties and dangers ended up being sent to the slaughterhouse, and everything was empty.  This is a pessimistic life.

Although the group of cattle that returned to the farm after all kinds of difficulties and dangers were finally sent to the slaughterhouse, we used our lives to care for them during the process.  Because of escorting them, we know how to cherish life, we know what we want, we have strengthened our will, and we have strengthened our hearts.  This is an optimistic life.

The river of life never stops, we are just a grain of sand in the Ganges.

As I write here, the dishes in the pot have been completely burnt.
