    ?

Before the morning rounds, Pei Jing had to arrive at the hospital at least half an hour earlier.  Prepare the patient's medical records, X-ray films and various related inspection reports.  Important matters need to be marked and recorded.

When the chief doctor Liu Yongqing led the whole team to officially start the ward rounds, Pei Jing was responsible for reporting the situation of the newly hospitalized patients yesterday.

Liu Yongqing will make a preliminary diagnosis of the patient based on the information at hand and Pei Jing's report, and make comprehensive considerations for the next inspection, etc.

After the ward round was over, Pei Jing had to walk a long way before returning to the office.  The narrow aisle was full of patients, people coming in and out constantly, some people had their heads wrapped in gauze, and some were groaning and passing by supported by nurses.

There is a small window in the aisle, and the shadow of the iron railing of the window can be seen faintly on the ground.  The smell of disinfectants, the cries of children, and the howls of the emergency room were intertwined in the corridor of the hospital, and Pei Jing was already used to all of them.

"Hey, did you see what was said in the work group? Now it is said that they are calling for volunteer doctors and nurses, and they are going to the front line of Jiangcheng to provide support." A young nurse walked in front of Pei Jing, and the older one beside her  Nurses chatted from time to time.

"Everyone knows what it means to go to the front line at a time like this. I want to go, but my dad has had a stroke, so I still need someone to take care of me at home" The older nurse sighed helplessly.

After Pei Jing listened, she just felt a faint idea rushing up in her heart.  She quickly returned to the office, and before she had time to take off the stethoscope around her neck, she hurriedly turned the phone out of the pocket of her white coat and checked it briefly.

The news of the call for volunteers kept rolling in Pei Jing's mind. She took out the paper from the drawer without hesitation, and immediately wrote a petition.

The moment she put down her pen, Pei Jing half closed her eyes and lay back on the chair.  Her heart felt loose and tense for a while, almost as uncomfortable as beating a drum.

She never thought that shortly after seeing off Zhimian and Lele, she would make such a big decision.

    ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª

At the end of the second round of ward rounds in the afternoon, Pei Jing was suddenly called to the hospital party committee office.  When she got into the elevator, she wondered why the upstairs office suddenly called her over to talk.

After thinking about it, I'm afraid it's mostly because of the paper volunteering.  Is it because my qualifications are not as deep as other colleagues, and the application was rejected?

While thinking wildly, Pei Jing had already arrived at the door of the office.

"Dong dong dong" There was a knock on the door.

"Come in." A mellow and powerful voice came from inside the room.

The moment the door opened, Pei Jing saw Li Yucai, secretary of the party branch of the hospital in his fifties, looking at something in his hand wearing reading glasses.

The furnishings in the office are old, only the two landscape paintings on the wall are a bit eye-catching. On them are Li Yucai's own inscriptions, which are vigorous and vigorous.

"Xiao Pei, you are here, sit down quickly." Li Yucai stood up and shook hands with Pei Jing solemnly.

The two faced each other and took their seats.  Li Yucai personally poured the West Lake Dragon Well Well prepared early in the morning into a cup, and placed it gently in front of Pei Jing.

Then, he picked up the hot tea, warmed his hands slightly, lowered his head and took a sip, as if he was not in a hurry to speak.

Pei Jing asked directly: "Secretary Li, you called me here suddenly, what's the matter?"

Li Yucai paused, put down the teacup, and said, "It's been seventeen years. Your father Pei Zhen passed away. It's been seventeen years, right?"

"Yes, in more than a month, it will be the anniversary of his death." Pei Jing said softly with her face down slightly.

Three years ago, after discussing with her mother, she personally moved her father's ashes to the temple in Hangcheng Mountain for storage.  The night wind there is steep and quiet, the surroundings are very quiet, and there are masters chanting scriptures in the morning and evening. Presumably, father should also like this environment when he was alive, right?

It's just that this year, she may not be able to worship her father anymore

"Although I have only worked with your father for a few short months, I can clearly see his character. He is straightforward, and you are very similar to him in this regard."

Li Yucai raised his head and stared at Pei Jing, and couldn't help but sighed: "I hope you can think about that application letter carefully. It is not easy for your mother to raise you alone. You have suffered a lot these years."  A lot of hardships. You just went to Jiangcheng like this, can you really feel at ease?" (Remember the website website: www.hlnovel.com
