?Statement: This content is excerpted from Baidu Encyclopedia.

Chronic renal failure is the progressive damage of the kidney and the gradual deterioration of renal function caused by various primary kidney diseases or secondary to other diseases.

Various chronic kidney diseases, as the condition worsens, the nephrons are progressively destroyed, so that the remaining functional nephrons are not enough to fully excrete metabolic waste and maintain a constant internal environment, and then urinary dysfunction and internal environment disorders occur, including metabolic waste and toxins  The retention of water, electrolyte and acid-base balance disorder, and the pathological process accompanied by a series of clinical symptoms, is called crf (chronic renal failure).

Chronic renal failure, called uremia when it is severe, is not an independent disease. It is caused by various causes of kidney damage and progressive deterioration. When it develops to the end stage and the renal function is close to about 10% of normal, a series of symptoms will appear.  Syndrome.

?Because renal function impairment is a long development process, and different stages have different degrees and characteristics, it should generally be divided into several stages according to the level of renal function.

Compensation stage of renal function: When the renal function unit damage does not reach 1/2 of the total number, there will be no increase in blood urea nitrogen and creatinine, and the metabolic balance in the body will not occur.  2mg/dl)).

Renal insufficiency stage: the level of renal function drops below 50%, the level of serum creatinine (scr) rises above 177¦̀mol/l (2mg/dl), and the level of blood urea nitrogen (bun) rises >7.0mmol/l (20mg/dl  ), the patient has symptoms such as fatigue, loss of appetite, nocturia, and mild anemia.

Renal failure stage: When the endogenous creatinine clearance rate (ccr) drops below 25ml/min, bun level is higher than 17.9¡ª¡ª21.4mmol/l (50¡«60mg/dl), scr rises to 442¦̀mol/l (5mg/dl  ) above, the patient develops anemia, increased blood phosphorus level, decreased blood calcium, metabolic acidosis, water and electrolyte disorders, etc.

End stage of uremia: ccr is below 10ml/min, scr rises to above 707¦̀mol/l, acidosis is obvious, symptoms of various systems appear, and even coma.

? The mechanism of progressive deterioration of chronic renal failure The mechanism has not yet been fully understood.  Worsening renal function is unambiguously related to the activity of the underlying disease.  But even though the underlying disease has ceased activity, if GFR has dropped to about 25% of normal, the renal function will continue to decline until uremia occurs.  It is currently believed that proteinuria is an important factor in the progressive deterioration of renal failure.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
