Chapter 317 Evolution of the eel clip

    ?

? At first, I felt that most of the bowl of snail meat was so little that it was not enough to eat.

I never thought that the more I eat, the more I feel like I can't finish it!

This product is very elastic!  I had to chew it many times, and my gums started to ache after eating too much.

With the reduction of the snail meat in the bowl, the gums became more and more sore. At the end of the meal, it became like eating to complete the task!

"I don't want to eat snail meat anymore!" Ren Yuntao said.

Just after he finished speaking, he seemed to feel that the words were not appropriate, so he continued: "Even if you eat, you won't eat so much!"

I stared at him amusedly, and asked, "Is there anything else you want to eat or like to eat?"

Ren Yuntao opened his mouth without saying a word: "Of course it's a rice field eel!"

When it comes to rice field eels, I also get excited, this thing is rare.

Every year, rice field eels can only be seen in summer, before and after transplanting rice seedlings, and rice field eels basically only come out at night.

This product has relatively high requirements for water quality.

When it comes to eels, I should be the one with the most say.  As the person who is best at catching rice field eels in our village, he knows the habits of rice field eels and the fields he likes better.

"Master Tao, what do you use to clamp the rice field eel now?" Ren Yuntao asked curiously.

"I, I'm grabbing with my hands now!"

At the beginning, there was a rice field eel clip at home, which was made of bamboo.  Unfortunately, it broke after a short time.

Later, after being reminded by the old watch, I changed the tool for clamping the rice field eel into a vise.

? Use a vise to clamp the eel, which is not easy to lose or damage.  But what's the downside?  The pliers are prone to rust after being exposed to water. Once the pliers are put into the water at night, the pliers will grow rust the next day.

After rusting, the gear part in the middle of the pliers becomes less flexible.

If you encounter a rice field eel, it is more exciting, and the rice field eel has already run away before you open your pliers, so this is a fatal flaw.

After that, the equipment for clamping eels will be directly upgraded to grasping with bare hands.

Of course, you must have something on hand!

As an essential tool at home, wire gloves are very suitable for catching eels.  Father Yao and Uncle Yao work in a mattress factory, and they have to distribute a lot of thread gloves every month. They can't run out, so they often give some to our family.

When you are picking rapeseed during the busy farming season, wear thread gloves to prevent blisters on your palms to the greatest extent.

After hitting the rapeseed, the thread gloves are worn out and damaged, and they are thrown there.  No need to just use it to catch eels.

After wearing gloves on the hands, it can effectively prevent it from escaping when catching the eel.

However, gloves also have flaws.  Because the thread gloves at home are basically worn out, or there are holes in the back of the hand, or holes in the fingers, or holes in the palms, in short, they are not perfect.

This leads to the fact that in the process of catching the eel, it is easy to touch the eel where there are holes. If the palm of the hand directly touches the eel, it is not easy to hold it firmly, which may cause loss.

"Master Tao, why don't you make a rice field eel clip." Ren Yuntao seemed to know my inner worries.  Indeed, when we went out to catch eels with him before, we had already encountered several eels that escaped.

So his kind reminder is also very reasonable.  Since you want to do it, act quickly.

Our family lacks everything, the only thing we don¡¯t lack is bamboo chips!  Grandpa keeps a lot of bamboo at home, so it is no problem to take two pieces.

I walked over, simply selected three pieces, and was ready to start making.

But we have never done this thing before, so we have to plan it first.  "It would be nice to have a sample," I thought.

After the eel clip was broken before, I don't know where I left it.

I went into the utility room and looked for it.

"Fortunately, it hasn't been lost yet!"

The damaged eel clip was lying quietly next to the barn.

The eel clip is mainly composed of three pieces of bamboo.  Two pieces on one side sandwich the other piece.

The ratio of the head and tail of the eel clip is about 1:2.  At the intersection, there are screws in the middle, so that it is easy to open and close.

According to the original appearance of the old eel clip, I cut the other three pieces of bamboo until the length and width are basically the same, and I am ready to start making the sawtooth on the head of the clip.

The length of the sawtooth area is about ten centimeters.

First pick up a piece of bamboo, along one side, start to carve the sawtooth.  Don't underestimate this simple carving, which contains many deep mysteries.

If the sawtooth is too sharp and too deep, it will be difficult to catch the eel and loach. In the middle, it will directly hurt the skin of the eel, and may even hurt the bones of the eel.

Someone made a very sharp eel clip before, and when it was clipped down, the eel was clipped into two pieces with too much force.

It has the same effect as the guillotine shown on TV, bloody and terrifying.

If it is really made like this, it will be too boring.

But if the sawtooth is too shallow, it won't be able to catch the slippery eel.

I fixed each sawtooth at about 0.5 cm, and the depth is also 0.5.  The tip of each serration is ground to make it as round as possible.

In this way, the eels can be avoided as much as possible.

A pencil sharpener is my production tool.

Hold the bamboo piece in one hand, and use the pencil sharpener to carve about half a centimeter downward.  Take it out, then switch to the other side, and then push down half a centimeter obliquely, and a V-shaped gap is made.

Move the V-shaped notch half a centimeter forward, and drop it again. Repeat this process. On a piece of bamboo, the ten-centimeter-long area is densely packed with jagged objects.

The first moment is relatively simple, and the focus is on the second piece.  Turn the bamboo piece over to the other side, so that it coincides with the first piece of bamboo.

And the sawtooth must overlap, so I had to align the two pieces of bamboo, and then move and engrave its zigzag pattern on the new bamboo piece, and draw a horizontal line to mark it.  Then remove the bamboo piece, follow the initial scale, and gradually engrave.

After the burning is completed, put the two pieces of bamboo together.  Start drilling at about 13 in the head.

Aim the tip of the pencil sharpener at the bamboo piece, twist it back and forth from side to side, and the bamboo chips will scatter when the knife tip touches the bamboo piece.  A small round hole slowly appeared in front of his eyes.

? Turn the bamboo piece over, and drill holes from the opposite side to the position just now.  Two hole pairs pass through to form a perfect hole.

If you drill directly from one side to the other at the beginning, the hole diameter on one side may be too large.

Follow the example, pick up another piece of bamboo, and continue drilling at the position reserved for the hole just now.  After the second hole is also pierced, put another piece of bamboo that has been engraved in a jagged shape and stack it in the middle. After aligning, start drilling.

After the holes are punched in the three pieces of bamboo, take the screws and pass them through, and fasten the screw caps.  Then fasten the head and tail of the bamboo slices whose front and back sides cross each other with iron wire, so that a pair of eel clips is completed.

"How is it?" I picked up the eel clip and tried it a few times, and it felt okay.

I handed the rice field eel clip to Ren Yuntao, "Ka Ka Ka" he clamped it hard a few times.

    "It feels okay! Master Tao!"

"Hey, of course, you don't see who we are!" This kind of small things and small items must be easily completed with my hands-on ability.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
