    ?

When it was the Dragon Boat Festival, Dong Fang frantically made rice dumplings with dried pickles, bamboo shoots and egg yolks at home.  I also bought salted duck eggs from the street, fried brook fish on both sides and used it to simmer soup, and then steamed a drawer of soy sauce meat.

In the old house, calamus was planted in the cracks inside and outside the door, and wormwood was lit to fumigate all parts of the house.  Dong Weicheng had been seriously ill for several days, he couldn't drink enough wine, and he couldn't eat much food, so Dong Fang could only feed him some porridge.

Even so, Dong Fang still brought all the prepared meals at home to her father's bed, and asked him to see and smell them one by one, so that her father could celebrate the festival together.

On this day, Dong Weicheng's spirit suddenly recovered. He called Dong Fang to bring all the meals to his bedroom, and asked Jun Tao and the others to come upstairs to eat together.  He just watched from the side, feeling more or less happy.

Dong Fang was a little surprised in her heart, thinking that her father thought it was noisy outside, and she hadn't been so interested in it for a long time.  But she and Juntao moved to the table of the Eight Immortals, Xiaoxiao specially told the child not to shout and offend Grandpa.

Then Dong Fang helped her father sit up, and used a pillow to cushion his back.  Under Dong Weicheng's nose, Dong Fang, Juntao, Xiaoxiao, and Aixiao had a long lunch together.

After all, Ai Xiao is a child, halfway through her meal, she suddenly grabbed zongzi from the table, brought them to Dong Weicheng, and said with a smile: "Grandpa, you eat zongzi too."

Dong Weicheng tried his best to pull out a smile, took the zongzi with trembling hands, put it to his mouth and pretended to take a bite.  But after all, his physical strength was weak, and the rice dumpling fell on the bedding after a while.

Dong Fang hurriedly picked up the rice dumplings, wiped them with a towel and tidied them up.  Taking advantage of going outside to clean for a while, Dong Fang leaned against the wall, and when she lowered her head, tears flowed down her cheeks.

However, she quickly calmed down, wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, and returned to her father's house as if nothing had happened.  The family gossiped for a while, and at three or four o'clock in the afternoon, Dong Weicheng said that he was a little sleepy and wanted to sleep for a while.

Everyone didn't dare to disturb, so they all went downstairs.  Dong Weicheng used to sleep very lightly, but this time he slept for a long time and didn't wake up until night.  Dong Fang and Jun Tao went upstairs to look at it in turn, Dong Weicheng just drank some warm water and went back to sleep.

After nine o'clock at night, Dong Fang was worried, and went to visit again, "Dad, how are you? If you don't feel well, I'll take you to the hospital?"

Dong Weicheng looked in the direction where Dong Fang was, and muttered to himself: "You guys finally came to pick me up."

After listening, Dong Fang's heart skipped a beat: "Dad, what did you say? Who's coming to pick you up?"

Dong Weicheng didn't answer, but waved his hand, signaling Dong Fang to go out first, and let him be alone for a while.

Back downstairs, Dong Fang thought about what her father said just now, and there was always something unpleasant.  Xiaoxiao asked softly: "Didn't dad always cough? Why is there nothing going on?"

Jun Tao nodded again and again and said, "I just said that today I always feel a little strange, but I can't say exactly what's strange. Dad is rarely in the mood today, and he saw us having a meal."

"This is not right, could it be" Xiaoxiao swallowed after speaking halfway.  She didn't want to say those unlucky words again, she was afraid that Dong Fang and Jun Tao would be sad.

Dong Fang looked at Xiaoxiao with a pale face, and she instantly understood what it meant.  Old people used to say that when a person is about to pass away, there will always be a period of time when he looks particularly energetic and in good spirits.

Thinking of this, Dong Fang clutched her chest, feeling pain in her heart.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
