Wu Dong sat on the train, leaning his head against the window, staring at the fast-moving scenery outside, silent.
Sitting next to him was a man holding a glass in his hand.
Wu Dong looked sideways, and there was about half a glass of water in the glass. It seemed that the hot water was very hot. Layers of mist were brewing upwards from the mouth of the glass, and soon disappeared into the air.
The man drank in small sips, half of the glass of water kept shaking as he raised his hand, drank it, and dropped it again.
Wu Dong lacked interest, so he moved his gaze out of the car window, poplar trees passed by quickly outside his eyes, in the soft and undulating ground, he didn't know what was planted, and he only had time to see some green heads emerging.
When he wanted to take a closer look, he found that those green heads had turned into some small, convex mounds.
The man beside him still held the glass, drank it, and then dropped it, as if the water in the glass could never be finished.
Wu Dong looked sideways, and then looked at the glass in the man's hand.
The hot air was still brewing upwards at the mouth of the cup, and finally dissipated in the air. Most of the water in the cup swayed unsteadily with his movements.
Wu Dong stared at the water inside, and his heart stirred up waves.
"Sir." Finally, he couldn't help but look at the man.
The man was called by him, he held the cup and turned his face to look at Wu Dong suspiciously.
"Are are you thirsty?" Wu Dong swallowed, but still asked the question in his heart.
The man was taken aback for a moment, then shook his head and replied, "I'm not thirsty."
Wu Dong got the answer and nodded. When he moved his gaze out of the window, he subconsciously looked at the glass in his hand again.
The scenery outside has almost changed from floor to floor. Below the buildings are some shop names, various fonts and colors, which appear on the shop facade, and soon disappear from the eyes.
Wu Dong watched and couldn't help turning his gaze to the man beside him.
The man was looking down at the glass on the table in a daze.
Following the man's gaze, the water in the glass is still half full, and the heat from the mouth of the glass sometimes disappears. Wu Dong knows that the water is not hot anymore.
"He'll go and throw the water away."
Wu Dong looked at the glass and guessed, but found that the palm of the man's hand holding the glass was white, and the bones on the back of his hand stood out clearly and forcefully. The water in the glass was shaking uncomfortably.
He watched the man look down at the glass, slowly raised his hand, and the moment he was about to put the mouth of the glass in his mouth, Wu Dong felt a strange feeling in his heart.
Before he had time to think about where the strange feeling came from, he quickly reached out and grabbed the glass that the man put in his mouth.
Water overflowed from the cup and splashed on Wu Dong's hands and sleeves.
He wiped the drops of water from his hands, looked up at the man's surprised eyes, and awkwardly took the glass and got up and explained with a smile.
"The water is cold, I'll get you another cup of boiling water."
As he spoke, he quickly squeezed past the man and came to the water dispenser. He raised his hand and silently looked at the slightly red skin on his hand.
"The glass of water just now was drugged, probably poison. When the water gradually touched my hand, I felt a burning sensation."
Sighing in his heart, he didn't understand why the man committed suicide, so he had to do everything he could to stop it.
The glass was thrown in the trash can by him, and he turned around to buy a pack of disposable cups.
When he came back, the man looked at Wu Dong holding a disposable cup, and took the cup in surprise. The hot air in the cup kept surging from the mouth of the cup. The man carefully held the cup, and let Wu Dong sit back on his seat sideways.
The train was still running, and Wu Dong was still staring at the ever-changing scenery outside, as if everything just now had never happened.
The train arrived at the station, and the people on the train got off one after another. The man and Wu Dong got off one after the other.
When the man got out of the car, he saw his wife standing there not far away, looking forward to it. He lowered his head silently, hiding the inexplicable emotion in his eyes.
Turn around and walked quickly to Wu Dong, looked at him and said in a low voice: "Thank you."
Wu Dong nodded with a slight smile, looked at the back of the man leaving quickly, and silently took out a bottle of sleeping pills from his pocket, which he bought the day before and kept in his pocket all the time before he could use it. (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
