    ?

The night in the village is very quiet, only the sound of the clock on the wall ticking and moving the second hand and the occasional barking of dogs in the distance can be heard.  Fang Xiaoyuan stared at the pitch-black ceiling with copper bell-like eyes, quietly waiting for grandma's snoring.  In the past, she hated the sound of snoring very much, she would rather sweat out of the heat and hide under the quilt, but tonight is different.  For her, the snoring was no longer an annoying noise, but a call to charge.

Fang Xiaoyuan turned over and felt a cool wind blowing behind her.  She turned her head and saw in the darkness that grandma had picked up the cattail leaf fan at some point and was shaking it unhurriedly.  The wind came from the cattail fan.

"Grandma, why don't you go to sleep? Why are you fanning in the middle of the night?" She asked excitedly, even a little angry.  Going to bed early when it shouldn't be, and not going to bed when it's time to go to bed early, grandma is really against her!

"It's hot today, I'll fan you, you sleep first."

Fang Xiaoyuan was really speechless, she knew that the conditions in the village were not as good as those in the city, just turn on the air conditioner when it was hot.  But even if there is no air-conditioning, it is always possible to turn on an electric fan. It is really backward to rely on a cattail fan to relieve the heat in what age.  But grandma insisted on refusing to turn on the electric fan, saying that it was not a natural wind, and it would catch a cold if it was blown for a long time.  Fang Xiaoyuan couldn't resist her, so she could only pretend to close her eyes, trying to get away with it.

When she opened her eyes again, the sun had already climbed up the window, shone in through the bamboo-patterned cloth curtains, and fell on Fang Xiaoyuan's face.  She rubbed her sleepy eyes, turned over and planned to continue sleeping, when she suddenly realized something.

"Oops!" Fang Xiaoyuan sat up, looking at grandma's bedding that had been made beside her, dumbfounded.  The sleep-pretending performance last night didn't blind grandma, but it was a fake show, and she was blinded by herself.  Maybe the wind from the palm-leaf fan was too gentle, or the melody hummed by grandma was too hypnotizing. In short, she missed the chance to meet Xiaoyan in the Fairy World.

Fang Xiaoyuan was very annoyed, she threw the pillow on the corner of the bed as if to vent her anger, and twisted the towel into a ball on purpose, completely forgetting the code of conduct that her mother had set for her to make her bed after getting up.

She jumped off the edge of the high Kang, and walked towards the main room with a tigerish face.  Grandma, who was frying sesame balls by the stove, couldn't help laughing when she saw her like this, "Hey, Yuanyuan, your mouth is so pouted that you can put oil on it~"

Fang Xiaoyuan kept quiet on purpose, she hated this kind of joke very much, the same as when she heard grandma say that she had a "crooked nose".

"I remember that you like fried sesame balls very much. I happened to buy some white sesame seeds yesterday. Today I will fry some for you to try."

The oil pan sizzled and splashed oil, inflating the hemp balls floating on it little by little.  Grandma used chopsticks to turn the hemp balls from time to time to make them fry more evenly.  Fang Xiaoyuan sat on the small bench next to her, resting her chin on her hands, she didn't seem to let go of her mouth at all, "What I like to eat is the mochi that Dad bought from the breakfast shop, it's not such a counterfeit!"

Grandma turned her head and glanced at her, said nothing, and continued to turn over the mochi balls regularly until they turned into golden and round ones, which were comparable to the "authentic products" in the breakfast shop.  .

As soon as the hemp balls were brought to the table, the door was knocked open. Zhou Yangyang, who had made an appointment to play with Fang Xiaoyuan yesterday, limped in, holding a round aluminum basin in his hand.  "This is left over from the tofu ordered in the morning. My mother asked me to bring it here for you." He said, he put the aluminum basin on the table, and Fang Xiaoyuan looked in, and saw that the things inside were still steaming.

"Is this soy milk?" She sniffed it, then turned to ask Zhou Yangyang.

"Well, it's soy milk." Zhou Yangyang nodded, "That's what my family makes."

"Does your family make soymilk?" Fang Xiaoyuan was surprised. In her impression, soymilk was made by a soymilk machine!

"I make tofu, and I also make soy milk." Zhou Yangyang explained, staring at the hemp balls on the table in a daze, seeing that his saliva was about to flow down.  "Thiscan I try it?" he asked tentatively.

Before Fang Xiaoyuan could answer, grandma responded first, "Eat it, you can eat as much as you want, I'm still making it here."

Zhou Yangyang immediately reached out to pick up a sesame ball, and sent it to his mouth without thinking.  Fang Xiaoyuan frowned when he saw that his nails had exceeded the outer edge of his fingers, and the inside was full of black mud.  She felt disgusted, don't the children in the village understand the most basic hygiene rules such as washing hands before meals and after going to the toilet?  Thinking of grandma wiping her hands with a rag, she suddenly lost her appetite.

"Why don't you wash your hands?" Fang Xiaoyuan couldn't help asking.  "Don't you know you have to wash your hands before eating?"

Zhou Yangyang immediately stopped chewing the sesame balls, his hands were hanging in the air, and it was neither right nor wrong to continue eating.  In his life experience in the past ten years, he did not wash his hands before eating.a habit.  Not only did he not, neither did his parents.  Fang Xiaoyuan's words made Zhou Yangyang embarrassed. This embarrassment comes from the natural barriers formed by the different growth environments between rural children and urban children. This barrier is not high, but it is enough to temporarily separate them in the two worlds.

Zhou Yangyang looked down and saw the dirt under his nails, and quietly curled his fingers into his palm, trying to hide it.  His face was flushed redder than if he had been seen limping along.

"It doesn't matter. It's not clean, and you won't get sick if you eat it." Grandma hurried out to smooth things over, and put a plate of freshly cooked mochi on the table, next to the aluminum pot of soy milk.

"Actually, I already had breakfast before I came out, so I'm not very hungry" Zhou Yangyang squeezed the mochi ball in his hand, stood up hesitantly, "I'll go and see if my mother has finished selling tofu."  Retained, insisted on leaving.

"Hey." Hearing grandma's sigh, Fang Xiaoyuan pursed her lips.  She knew that she probably said something wrong, but she didn't understand where the mistake was. Could it be wrong to remind others to maintain good hygiene habits?  She couldn't figure it out, but when she picked up the chopsticks to pick up the sesame balls, she deliberately avoided the two that Zhou Yangyang accidentally touched just now.

The newly made partner left, and the original agreement to go out to play together also fell through.  After breakfast, Fang Xiaoyuan sat alone on the wicker chair in the yard, staring at the back of the grandma not far away who was hunched over and tending the vegetable garden in a daze.

Suddenly, the wicker chair that had been standing firmly on the spot swayed twice, causing Fang Xiaoyuan to turn her head and look around.  To her disappointment, Zhou Yangyang didn't come back, and it wasn't him who pushed the rattan chair just now.

"Hee hee hee!" A familiar laughter came, and Fang Xiaoyuan almost jumped up from the wicker chair in shock.  "Xiao Yan?" She opened her eyes wide.

While looking around for the white figure, he whispered.

    "Fang Xiaoyuan, I'm here!"

Following the sound, Fang Xiaoyuan looked towards the small cabin where the fertilizers and farm tools were stored in the corner of the yard, and saw Xiao Yan sticking her head out of the open doorway and waving at her.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
