In the dead of night, the crickets outside the window were chirping happily, just like the happy bird in Fang Xiaoyuan's mind at that time.  She turned her head, and she couldn't see her fingers in the darkness, and she couldn't even see the sleeping face of her grandma who was close at hand.  But she knew that grandma was already fast asleep, and the familiar snoring sound couldn't fool anyone.

snort!  She only got so angry during the day, and grandma fell asleep so quickly, Fang Xiaoyuan thought.

This is the fifth day of her summer vacation at her grandma's house in the country, and it is also the first day she intends to run away from home.  A week ago, she was sitting blowing out candles in her brightly lit living room two hundred kilometers away.

"Fang Xiaoyuan, hurry up and make a wish!" The friend urged, his eyes almost glowing as he stared at the mango mousse cake.

Fang Xiaoyuan closed her eyes and murmured, "I hope my parents don't send me back to my hometown." At that time, she didn't know that the wishes would not work.

Two days later, Fang's father and Fang's mother drove for nearly three hours and brought her here as originally planned.  It's summer now, even though Fang Xiaoyuan is on vacation, they still have to go to work and stay at home with no one to look after them.

"Actually, I can take care of myself" Fang Xiaoyuan tried hard to fight for herself, "I'm already ten years old, and I will be promoted to the fourth grade at the beginning of school. I'm a big kid."  Take her words seriously.  Parents soon left, leaving her alone.

It is not accurate to say that he is alone.

In the evening, grandma cooked delicious hand-rolled noodles, placed the small dining table on the kang, and invited Fang Xiaoyuan to come over for dinner.

The ten-year-old boy Fang Xiaoyuan has a round body and is not picky about food.  But she stared at the rice bowl in front of her, and she couldn't do it for a long time.  She always felt that everything in the village was dirty.  Especially grandma plucked two Chinese cabbages from the field and put them in the parents' car, but when she came back, she just wiped the dust on her hands on the rag beside the stove without even soaping it.

"Grandma, have you washed these chopsticks with tap water?"

"It's been washed, you won't get sick after eating it, don't worry." Grandma replied vaguely, which made her feel uneasy.

Fang Xiaoyuan frowned, carefully staring at the chopsticks in her hand, trying to find clues from the details.  Grandma saw it, and hooked her nose with her hand, "Don't frown when you are young, be careful that your nose will become crooked when you grow up."

"Crooked nose" is a term used by villagers. It is probably on the same level as "poor and exquisite" and "fake hypocrisy". They are both used to describe clean people from the city.  Since then, Fang Xiaoyuan has become a veritable "crooked nose".

The asphalt road was only built to the village head, and there was an uneven loess road in front of grandma's house, and the rainwater could turn it into mud that stuck to the wall. Fang Xiaoyuan was careful every time he walked, for fear that the mud would not be eye-catching, and ran to his new home.  Sandals come up.  This was a birthday present from her parents, and it was truly brand new.

It's a pity that the sky failed to fulfill people's wishes, and the dreaded thing finally happened.

There is a problem with the closed circuit of the TV at grandma's house. It has been in disrepair for a long time, and all channels are covered with snowflakes. It is better not to watch it.  After coming here for five days, apart from eating, sleeping and doing summer vacation homework, Fang Xiaoyuan's only recreational activity is staring at the green hills in front of him in a daze.  The days without even an ipad are so boring, she is going crazy.

"Why don't you go to the village to play." Grandma often said.  "There are a lot of children there, all of them are half-grown."

Fang Xiaoyuan didn't adapt to the environment in the village, so naturally he didn't like the people in the village either.  She walked all the way to the village avoiding the mud on the ground, and she was about to reach a crowded place, when a big barking wolf dog rushed out from nowhere, and came running towards her without biting anyone.  In the blink of an eye, Fang Xiaoyuan didn't care about the new shoes on his feet, turned his head and ran.

"Stop and don't run!" She vaguely heard shouts from behind, but it was too late.  There was only the sound of the whistling wind and the beating of her own heart, and she even felt the hot air from the mouth of the wolf dog behind her hit her ankle, and she was about to aim at the lower mouth after a moment of hesitation.

It's over, Fang Xiaoyuan's heart is full of despair.  Such a village does not even have a decent clinic, and being bitten by a dog can be life-threatening if not treated in time.  Thinking that her young life might end here, she felt her legs go limp, and she fell down on the muddy ground with a plop.

The wolf dog didn't bite her, Fang Xiaoyuan turned her head, and found that the dog had already turned her head, and was walking back leisurely, as if she had rushed out just now to scare her on purpose and make her lose face in front of everyone.

The farce came to an end, and laughter came from behind.  Obviously, except for Fang Xiaoyuan, everyone still enjoys this small episode in life, and maybe it will be included as a topic of conversation after dinner.  As a newcomer from the city with a crooked nose, she was not welcomed, and even became the laughing stock of the whole village.

theFang Xiaoyuan's knee was broken, but her self-esteem was broken even more than her knee.  When I got home, my grandma couldn't help laughing when she saw her like this, "What's wrong with you? We agreed to go to the village to play, but it looks like we rolled in the mud."

This was originally just a harmless joke, but it sounded heinous to the distraught Fang Xiaoyuan.

"You are still talking sarcastic, I almost died!!!" she screamed, accompanied by intermittent crying.  "I hate this place! I hate this poor village! There's not a single good person who lives here! They're all disgusting!"

Grandma froze for a moment, quickly calmed her down, and took out the iodine to help her treat the wound.  But Fang Xiaoyuan's anger did not dissipate, she began to seriously consider leaving here.  Since her parents didn't come to pick her up, she went back by herself.

The stars outside the window covered the sky, and Fang Xiaoyuan tiptoed out of the bed with her eyes stared at for an unknown amount of time in the darkness, ready to carry out her plan.

She doesn't have much luggage, and the most important thing is her summer homework.  Before going to bed, she had carefully arranged her schoolbag, put it on the stool in the main room, and walked away after carrying it.  As for the fare, she has also thought about it. In the hidden pocket inside the schoolbag, there is still the lucky money received during the Chinese New Year, which will come in handy.  The only thing that scares her now is the big wolfhound during the day.

Fang Xiaoyuan didn't dare to light the lamp, for fear of waking up grandma.  She touched the stove by the moonlight outside the window, and pulled out a plastic bag from the iron basin in the corner. Inside was the pork ribs that grandma had bought for her to braise in soy sauce tomorrow.  Although Fang Xiaoyuan also wanted to eat braised pork ribs, but at this moment she wanted to go home, to her own home.

She made a perfect plan, if she was lucky enough, she would take the ribs home and let her mother burn them for her to eat; if she was unlucky, she would use the ribs to plug the mouth of the wolf dog and take the opportunity to escape.

Fang Xiaoyuan took a deep breath, and gently pulled the latch, being careful not to make a sound.  After going out this door, she is the one who ran away from home.  A long journey is waiting for her, thinking of this, Fang Xiaoyuan couldn't help feeling excited.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
