    "A year can be subdivided into five seasons, corresponding to the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.

    Yin, Mao, and Chenyue belong to wood, rule spring, and represent the East;

    Si, Wu, and Wei months belong to fire, rule summer, and represent the south;

    Shen, You, and Xu months belong to gold, rule autumn, and represent the West;

    Hai, Zi and Chou moons belong to water, rule winter and represent the north;

    Chen, Wei, Xu, and Chou, individually, belong to the earth, and they are the four earths, ruling the last month of the four seasons.  "

    "The twelve earthly branches also represent twelve different lunar orders and festivals each year."

    "Chunyu (yin) Jingchun (mao) Qinggutian (chen),

    ? Xiaman (si) mangxia (afternoon) summer connected (not),

    ? Autumn Place (Shen) Dew Autumn (Unitary) Cold Frost (Xu),

    Dongxue (hai) Xuedong (child) Xiao Dahan (ugly).

    This is the so-called twenty-four solar terms!  "
