    ?

The issue of returnees is not an unfamiliar topic in the circle of overseas professors.  Around Huairu and Wanqing, there are many friends who have faced the choice of returnees.

Some people brought their families with them and returned to China for three or four years, but because they were not acclimatized, they went abroad again in disgrace; some people had changed their way of thinking because they had been abroad for too long.

Of course, there are still people who return to China with overseas work experience. With the support of a large domestic fund, their development is like a fish in water, and they have made great achievements in the end.

All in all, this is a matter of Eight Immortals crossing the sea, each showing their magical powers.  There are always various arguments about whether returnees are good or not, and the results vary from person to person.

Before Fan Jun found Huai Ru, it was not that no one from other universities in China came to Huai Ru.  Even some time ago, someone from a headhunting company contacted him directly through LinkedIn and asked him if he had any intention of returning from overseas.

Originally, Huai Ru mostly laughed at such invitations.  At least in his mind, the theme before the age of 40 should be to come up with beautiful experimental data and publish articles in top journals, instead of thinking about whether to return to China.

But now, when Fan Jun solemnly mentioned it again in the video, Huai Ru, who was in the bottleneck period of his career, felt a wave of wavering in his heart for the first time.

"Returning to China", a familiar yet unfamiliar vocabulary.  From the moment he decided to study abroad, it seemed that the far side of the ocean was already a home he could not return to.

And California is not the place where he was born and raised. Even if he has bought a house here, Huairu has never felt the kind of nostalgia and sense of belonging for his hometown and country.

Looking back on these years abroad, he made his own way through hard work and established his own experimental team.  All of this is hard-won, and every bit of it is Huairu's painstaking efforts. It is really unrealistic to say that he can make a decision immediately.

Of course, most of these thoughts were just turning around in Huairu's heart, but he still didn't say it.  For Fan Jun, there is still the friendship of classmates after all, he doesn't want to pour cold water on Fan Jun's enthusiasm directly in the video.

"I'm sorry, Lao Fan, I think this matter needs to be discussed with Wan Qing again, it's really inconvenient to answer now." Huai Ru said.

Everything was expected, Fan Jun just smiled and said: "Hey, you also know that I am impatient. Seeing that you didn't reply to the email yesterday, I was busy hanging up the video for you. Then you can go back and discuss it with Wan Qing.  Look, after all, this is not about you alone, it also involves your whole family. In fact, you can completely consider going back to China to take a look, is it good to come back, don¡¯t you have to see to believe?¡±

"Okay, I understand, I'll give you an answer later." After hanging up the video, Huairu let out a long sigh of relief.

Where should I go?  What to do?  Huai Ru stood on the campus at noon, his eyes ached from the dry sunlight.

The young students passing by didn't know what melancholy is, and all of them had youthful smiles on their faces.  From time to time, bicycles and skateboards roared past. Standing in the huge open space, Huai Ru suddenly felt that he was as small as a speck of dust in the crowd.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
