[1] "Red Dates. Wind Xixi" Nalan Xingde. Ci

The wind is blowing, and the rain is fine.

It is no wonder that the sorrow of spring is added carefully.

    I can't remember clearly, it's probably a dream,

There is still a curtain behind the dream.

The breeze is blowing and the drizzle is misty.

The chief mourner asked Yu Mufan to take the sisters back first.  Qing Wan and Mu Fan knelt down to thank the mourner and the neighbors who helped repair the grave, and then quietly exited the cemetery with their loved ones[1], leaving behind their mother, who will rest here forever.

Qing Wan walked silently, knowing that there was a pair of eyes following her all the way.  Before getting into the car, she glanced back.

Xiuran was standing in the rain strands, and every strand of rain intensified Qingwan's sorrow and resentment.

The past has gradually blurred in her mind, and Qing Wan can't tell whether those beautiful pasts are real or a dream.  Even if it is a dream, why is it within reach?  If it is true, why is there a rain curtain that prevents her from approaching.

Xiuran also had tears in his eyes, full of tears.

Qingwan understands in her heart: Xiuran's tears are definitely not shed for the deceased uncle, but for her, because of the torment the heavens have given her Xiuran at this time, of course, does not know that Qingwan is going to let him down  infatuated

"Hey~ How can I tell him!" Qing Wan could only choke silently, only looking at each other with tears in her eyes.

The mother-in-law Yu Lu yelled in the car and urged: "Wan'er, it's raining, what are you doing standing there? Why don't you get in the car?"

Qing Wan wiped away her tears, turned around and got into the carriage.

As soon as Qingwan sat down firmly, her mother-in-law asked again: "What were you waiting for just now?"

Qingwan said: "It's raining, how can I have the heart to let my mother soak in the rain alone."

"Your mother lives very well in the new house, and the rain won't drench her."

"Sister-in-law." Qing Wan has been married for so long, but she still can't change her name to mother-in-law.

However, Yu Lu didn't care, so she responded with an "ah".

"You said, there was a big sun just now, how could it be a rainy day in a blink of an eye? Is there something wrong with my mother?"

"Your mother can have any grievances. The rain means that your mother has felt your love. This is the moving tears she shed." Yu Lu smiled happily, "It would be better if the rain was heavier!"

Qing Wan looked up at Yu Lu with her tearful eyes, and said in her heart: Who is this little aunt!  Didn't you get along with my mother when you were young?  Now my mother is out in the rain, but you don't think it's raining enough

I just heard Yu Lu say: "As the saying goes, 'When the rain hits the grave, the nobleman will come out; if the rain hits the coffin, the rich will be sparse.' This means that our Yu family is going to have a nobleman."

    "A nobleman?"

"Yes, our Yu family will definitely produce a high-ranking official."

"My father's official is not old enough?"

"What kind of official is your father? He is an imperial physician. Although he is a third-rank doctor, he has no job. Your brother must be a court official who is not lower than a third-rank."

    "Me, which brother?"

"Silly girl, of course it's your own brother. Your mother will protect Aunt Zhen's son from being a high official there in the rain?" Yu Lu laughed, "So, you have to take good care of your little brother,  Let him learn more skills and grow up quickly. When he becomes a high-ranking official and has a generous salary, won't you enjoy the blessings along with him?"

[2] "Mourning for the Dead - Part 3" by Mei Yaochen. Poem

There has never been a short cut, how dare you ask the sky?

Seeing all the women in the world, there is nothing as beautiful and virtuous.

For example, to make a fool live, why not fake his years?

Bear with this priceless treasure and bury it in Jiuquan!

On the night my mother was buried, it rained heavily.

Qing Wan sat in front of her mother's memorial tablet, burned incense all night, burned paper all night, and listened to the rain all night.

During the seventy-seven and forty-nine days from the "first seven" to the "full seven", Qingwan would stay at her natal home to "burn seven" for her mother.

This morning, Yu Lu, her mother-in-law, returned to her natal home to spend "February 7" for her deceased sister-in-law.  She and Qing Wan led a group of sisters to the grave.

The mother-in-law suddenly discovered that long willow buds sprouted from the "soul-inducing flag" stick held by Yu Muyu, but the "crying stick" held by Yu Mufan, the eldest son, did not sprout any sprouts.  Yu Lu was happy in her heart, she winked at Qing Wan, meaning to let Qing Wan see it more clearly.

Yu Lu assisted Qingwan in burning the "February 27th", and pulled the tomb guard Li Gui to the side. She took out a tael of silver and gave it to Li Gui, and told him: "You must guard the tomb carefully, and don't let others hurt you."  That budding willow branch."

Li Gui gratefully accepted the silver and said:The meaning of adding seams.  The chopping clothes are made of the thickest raw linen, and the broken parts are exposed without seams. It is simple and rough, and is used to express the depth of grief.  The chopping clothes were lined with white filial piety clothes, and later they were replaced with linen pieces, so there is a saying of wearing linen and wearing filial piety.

The stick, also known as the mourning stick in later generations, is made of bamboo and is as high as the chest.  The use of sticks has two meanings. One is to express the identity of the bereaved master. In traditional funerals, only filial sons use sticks;  .

The mourning period for the Cloak of Declining Decline is three years.  During this three-year period, the mourners are not allowed to marry, go to banquets, listen to music, play games and jokes, etc.  After the Eastern Han Dynasty, incumbent officials had to leave their posts and take up uniforms, and returned to their homes to keep the system. This was called Ding Jian or Ding You.  Only when the mourning period is over can they be reinstated.

    (2) Qi decline

Qi Tonghong.  Qi, the edge of the lower garment.  Its clothes are made of coarse linen, and the clothes are divided into pieces. The edges are cut off and the edges are neatly sewn, hence the name "Qi Shuai".  It is different from the rough edge of chopping.

Qi Shuai ranks second in the "Five Services", next to Zhan Shuai.  The specific uniforms and wearing time are divided into four levels depending on the relationship with the deceased:

1 Three years of Qi decline: Applicable to the case where the father has died first, the son, the unmarried daughter, and the returned daughter after marriage are the mother, and the mother is the eldest son.  ?

2 Qi Decaying Stick Period (ji): Applicable to when the father is still alive, the son, unmarried daughter, and remarried daughter are the mother, and the husband is the wife.  The mourning clothes for the Qishangzhang period are exactly the same as those for the third year of Qishenzhang period, the only difference is that the mourning period is shorter, only one year.

3 Qi Decline Period: Applicable to being served by grandparents, uncles, parents, brothers, unmarried sisters, sons other than the eldest son, sons of brothers, and concubines as female rulers (husband¡¯s main wives), the time is one year.

4 Qi Decline March: Suitable for great-grandparents and great-grandparents.  The mourning period in March is very short, only three months.

    (3) Great work

Also known as "Big Red", it is a mourning dress that is inferior to "Qi Decay", and it is made of sackcloth.

It is also second to the first class of Qi, and it is applicable to brothers who follow the father, married aunts, sisters, daughters, granddaughters, grandchildren other than the eldest grandson (including unmarried granddaughters), wives of the eldest son, and wives who are husbands.  Grandparents, uncles, parents, and husband's brother's daughter who are married are all clothes of great merit.

The mourning period for great merit is nine months.

    (4) Minor work

Also known as "Shanghong", it is a mourning dress that is inferior to "Great Gong", and is made of slightly coarser linen.

It is second to great merit, and it is suitable for grandparents, uncles and uncles, wives of all sons other than the eldest son, grandparents, and mothers (aunts).  In addition, wives who are Disi (æ¨æ²), aunts and sisters of husbands also serve small meritorious service.

The mourning period for minor meritorious service is five months.

    (5) Roast hemp

This is the lightest of the "five clothes", made of finer linen, and the work done is finer than that of the "small work".

?Applicable to clan great-grandparents, clan grandparents, clan parents, clan brothers, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, aunts, aunts, cousins, uncles, cousins, parents-in-law, uncles, sons-in-law, nephews, and grandchildren.

The mourning period is only three months.

    3. The relationship between the mourning system and the patriarchal system

    (1) The grade difference of mourning clothes clearly shows the following characteristics.

1 There is a difference between paternal and matrilineal

?A man's relatives: the father's party is the clan and clan, the mother's party is the outer relative, and the wife's party is the inner relative.  In a patriarchal society, only the clan and clan are important.

2 There is a difference between relatives and estrangements

The system of mourning clothes emphasizes the patrilineal line, and the weight of the five clothes mainly reflects the unequal blood relationship between the patrilineal clansmen.  According to the principle of the five generations of relatives, counting from oneself, the relatives who have served from the top to the bottom are only pushed to the fifth generation, and there is no need to mourn for them if they have exceeded the scope of the five generations.

3 Men and women are different

In the mourning system, the inequality between men and women is very obvious.  For example, between a husband and wife, the wife shall serve the heaviest mourning for the husband for three years, while the husband shall only serve the full period of mourning for the wife.

4 There is a difference between concubine and concubine

The status of wives and concubines is different, and there are strict distinctions.  "Mourning Clothes" stipulates that concubines should wear uniforms for their wives, but there is no period for wives to wear them.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
