    ?

Wan Zhedu has made up his mind, so he will go to Pujiu Temple tomorrow to borrow a monk's house to live in.

Of course, the follower, Guo Jing, was not worried at all, so he collapsed on the bed and started snoring.

Wan Zhedu, however, tossed and turned, worrying all over: whether the elder was there, whether the monk's room would be borrowed, how to speak, whether he could meet with Yu Meipan again, in the future thinking wildly, tossing and turning, unable to sleep, until dawn  I closed my eyes for a while.  When the rooster crowed for the first time, he immediately got up, called Guo Jing, washed himself hastily, and was about to go out.

Guo Jing said: "It's not yet dawn, it's useless to run so early, the monk hasn't got up yet."

Wan Zhedu said: "Where did you know that it was too late, and the elder went out to go to fast again. Wouldn't it be a big mistake? It's better to go early. You pack your luggage at home and wait for my good news." After finishing speaking, he strode forward  away.

Guo Jing shook his head, sighed, and went to pack his luggage by himself.

[1] "The Story of the Western Chamber" Anonymous

    ?This is a Buddhist field,

    But put the romance on the West Chamber;

Destined to meet thousands of miles away,

Not a matchmaker in the Buddha Hall.

Elder Mingben went out to go to fast yesterday and came back very late.

Waking up early in the morning, he called Wuchen and said, "Wuchen, Wuchen!"

Hearing the elder's call, Wu Chen hurried in from the house and asked, "Master, what are your orders?"

    "Did anyone come here yesterday?"

"There is a scholar who came to visit Master."

"Where is the family name? Did you leave your name?"

"He said he was from Chengdu, he came from Dadu, his surname was Wan, and his first name was Zhedu."

    "Mongols?"

    "Seems to be."

Mingben thought to himself: Mongolians believe in Taoism.  Now a Mongolian student actually came to visit, and I was very happy, but it was a bit regretful that I did not meet him, so he said, "I wonder if he will come today? You can go outside the mountain gate to see later, if he comes, hurry up."  Come to report, I will personally go out to meet you."

Wuchen agreed: "Yes!" But he thought in his heart, the Bodhisattva doesn't need to ask about "if not if", he will definitely come today!  Because, that living Guanyin had tied him up long ago.

    Yumiao Lanting Ancient Road.

A night of clear frost, dyed all the trees by the lake.

The parrot cup is deep, don't tell me,

He knows where he meets from time to time.

    Ran Rannianhua couldn't keep it.

The beauty in the mirror finally fades away.

    A sentence Ding Ningjun remembers,

Immortals must be made by idlers.

Say Cao Cao, and Cao Cao will arrive.

When Wan Zhedu was about to raise his hand to knock on the door, Wuchen happened to arrive at the door to open it.  Wan Zhedu's hand almost knocked on his bald head, which really startled Wuchen.  Fortunately, Wan Zhedu held back his hand quickly, otherwise he would have hit it.

Wan Zhedu suddenly saw Monk Wuchen, and hurriedly greeted him: "Morning, little master!"

The little monk Wuchen rolled his eyes, "Mr. Wan is really early!"

Wan Zhedu smiled embarrassingly, "Is the elder there?"

"The little monk was ordered by the master, and came here to meet the master."

"Elder Ming is really a man of God, how did he know that I was coming?"

"It's not the elders who are gods, Mr. Wan is the real gods, and he came really fast."

"Xiaosheng is eager to see the elder!"

Wu Chen smiled, thinking: I really know how to lie.  Said sideways, "Master ordered the young monk to go back and report when he saw Mr. Master, and Master will go out to meet him in person."

"What is the virtue and ability of a young student, dare to work for the elders' law!"

"Sir, wait a moment, wait for the little monk to go in and report." As he said, he was about to go inside.

Wan Zhedu called Wu Chen to a halt, "Little master, stay here, I don't know if it is possible for Xiaosheng to discuss with you?"

    "What are your orders, sir?"

"Xiaosheng wants to borrow a monk's room in Baocha, I don't know if he will agree?"

Wu Chen scratched his bald head, showed a embarrassed look, and said: "This is not easy to handle. There has never been a precedent for renting out monks' houses in this temple."

Wan Zhedu thought to himself: What a little monk Wuchen, who opens his eyes and talks nonsense, and doesn't rent it out to outsiders, why is there a whole yard of people living in the west courtyard?  He saluted and said, "I hope my little master will give it to Zhou Fang!"

    "What is Zhou Fang?"

    "It's thoughtful and convenient."

"Sir, I'm just a young monk, so I can't make half an opinion. Whether to borrow the monk's room or not depends on the master's decision."

Wan Zhedu thought about it, and it made sense, so he said: "However, with the kind words and help from the little master, it can still be done!"

"Here, sir, please rest assured, I will try my best to facilitate this matter."

Wan Zhedu cupped his hands to Wu Chen, and said, "Thank you so much! Please, little master, lead Xiaosheng to visit the elder."

Wuchen said: "Master's order, I dare not disobey it, let the little monk go in and report it first!" After finishing speaking, he turned and went in.

Not long after, Elder Ming Ben came out from the inside, saw Wan Zhedu, clasped his hands together, and said: "Amitabha, Mr. I don't know if you are here, I am far away from you, and I am guilty of sin."

Wan Zhedu saw the old monk, with kind eyebrows and kind eyes, white hair and childlike face, wearing a hundred-sleeved brocade cassock, just like a Sangha master[1].  , It is a great honor. Now I am disturbing the Fajia again, what a shame! I pray that the elders will forgive me."

"Where are you talking, Mr., I have admired Mr.'s name for a long time, and I am so lucky to know the thorns today!"

Wan Zhedu thought to himself: Is my reputation so big?  Has it spread to Puzhou?  I'm just a Mongolian candidate, but I got a "Jie Yuan" in the Sichuan Provincial Examination last year. How can my reputation get here?  Purely polite.

After a polite exchange, the two of them humbly entered into the abbot.  The host and guest sat down, Wu Chen brought tea, and then stood behind the elder.

    Notes

    [1] Sangha

? An eminent monk in the Tang Dynasty, the founder of Guangjiao Temple in Langshan, Tongzhou, Jiangsu.  He said who he was from, because of what his surname was.  Tang Zhongzong respected him as a national teacher.  Emperor Taizong of the Song Dynasty bestowed upon him the posthumous title of "Great Sage", and later generations revered him as "Great Sage Bodhisattva", also known as "Great Sage of Sizhou" and "Great Sage of Langshan".

Qinglian Layman Li Bai wrote "Sangha Song":

The real monk, who is called the Sangha, sometimes discusses three things with me.  Mantra thousands of times, saying that the sand of the Ganges will be sand again.  This monk originally lived in southern India, and came to this country for Fa Toutuo.  The moon is bright in autumn, and the heart is like the blue lotus in the world.  The mind is pure and the appearance is sharp; it does not decrease or increase.  There is a thousand-year-old iron pillar bone in the bottle, and the long-lived Husun ??vine in the hand.  It's been a long time since I've been down and down in Jianghuai, but I rarely meet a real monk who says it's empty.  Scatter all the bari with one word, and then clean up the minor offenses with courtesy.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
