The flame quietly stood on the wick, illuminating the surroundings.

On the couch and on the silk blanket on the ground, clothes were piled up messily, while inside the quilt, it was warm and comfortable.

Yu Yan was resting on Xiao Huan's arm, the two of them were still not sleepy, they were chatting together.

"Shi Jing?" Xiao Huan was very surprised when she heard about A Luo's treatment, "That miracle doctor Chen knows the name of the water god?"

Yu Yan said "hmm" and looked at Xiao Huan: "The last time you went to the southern Forbidden City to search for files, didn't it mention it?"

"No." Xiao Huan said, "I am afraid that this matter is kept secret in the palace, and not much is mentioned."

    Yu Yan nodded.

"Let's not talk about this for now." Yu Yan looked at Xiao Huan, "How is your father's side? Is this mess really because he is dying?"

"That's not the case." Xiao Huan said, "It's Yuan who can't wait."

Yu Yan was surprised: "Can't wait?"

The cause of this incident came from Chen Wang, the son of Empress Yuan.

Chen Wang has always been arrogant, extravagant and absurd. Last summer, he caused a big problem.

?There were floods in the south, and King Chen was ordered by the emperor to sit in the south to supervise the relief.  This matter was originally an opportunity that Empress Yuan had won for him, and she wanted him to make a good achievement in order to accumulate prestige and win people's hearts.

? Wang Chen fully agreed that at the beginning of his tenure, he was restrained and dealt with official duties in a regular manner every day.  But after a while, he slacked off and showed his true colors.

Most of the people he appointed were those with unscrupulous intentions, who flattered King Chen in front of him, but had no law behind him, accepted bribes from local officials, concealed the disaster situation, and resold the government's relief.  The disaster area was in a mess under the rule of Chen Wang, and there were many complaints. The desperate refugees gathered together and simply rose up, triggering riots.

When the imperial court got the news, Jingzhou, the hardest-hit city, had already been captured by the rebel army for several counties. When the court officials took the emperor's imperial edict to find King Chen in a hurry, he was lying in the arms of a kabuki in the Chu Pavilion.

When the emperor got the news, he was furious. He immediately dismissed King Chen and escorted him back to Beijing.

King Chen made a catastrophe, Queen Yuan and Yuan Guang were extremely anxious.  But on the second day after King Chen returned to Beijing, it was found that someone had been drugged in the emperor's imperial meal. After a thorough investigation in the palace, King Chen was found again.

The bigger the matter, the less it will spread.

These two incidents have not been reported to the palace, and everyone has already smelled the crisis.

In the past, when King Chen got into trouble, Empress Yuan went to cry, and Yuan's brother-in-law went to persuade her again. The emperor's anger subsided, and it passed naturally.

But this time is different.  The emperor seemed to be determined, and ordered a thorough investigation of King Chen's disaster relief in the south. As a result, the carrots were pulled out and the mud was taken out.

Knowing that the emperor had completely lost confidence in King Chen, Yuan Shi finally made up his mind to launch a mutiny in order to keep his position.

Yuan Guang took control of the imperial army, and in the middle of the night, he quietly sealed off the palace and put the emperor under house arrest.  They also wanted to attack Xiao Huan, but Wang Long's son, Wang Yi, was a general in the palace. After getting the news, they immediately informed Xiao Huan.

So Xiao Huan and his men escaped from the capital overnight and returned to Shuofang.

"As for the others, after you left, I have already arranged for them to go to Shuofang." Xiao Huan said, "Even if nothing happened to King Chen, sooner or later the battle for the crown prince will break out, so arrangements must be made early."

    Yu Yan understood.

"So, your father is actually fine?" she said, "Then what the hell is Yuan trying to do? Logically speaking, shouldn't they attack your father and then announce King Chen as the throne? Now they have been imprisoned for several months.  If you don't do anything, are you planning to continue this stalemate?"

"I don't really understand this matter." Xiao Huan sighed softly, stroked Yu Yan's hair, "Didn't you ask me why I am not in Shuofang, but in this cloud city? I just want to find out about this  Come here. I arranged to inquire about the news in the capital, and I have been inquiring about the news in the palace for the past few months, but there is no news at all."

Yu Yan frowned: "Is that so?"

Looking at Xiao Huan's face, Yu Yan's heart moved.

Ever since seeing him here, she felt that there was always a faint gloomy air between his brows, which was not as calm as before.

"Are you worried about him?" Yu Yan asked.

    "Yes." Xiao Huan said.

Yu Yan couldn't help touching his face.

"Actually, this is not necessarily a bad thing." Shaoqing, Xiao Huan, tugging at her sleeve: "Ayan"

    Yu Yan: ""

She looked at Xiao Huan helplessly.

"You go back first." She said, "After all, she was frightened. I am here to accompany her tonight."

Xiao Huan's gaze immediately became dissatisfied, and he also stared.

Yu Yan tugged on his sleeve and looked at him pleadingly.

After a while, Xiao Huan took a deep breath, but kept a cold face.

"Just this one time," he said.

"Just this time." Yu Yan promised.

"I'll come back tomorrow morning." He stroked Yu Yan's hair and said in a low voice, "If there is anything, you can ask the servant to call me."

    "Got it." Yu Yan smiled.

Xiao Huan looked at Teng Hui again, turned and left expressionlessly.

The door closed, and Xiao Huan's figure disappeared immediately.

Yu Yan turned her head and found that Teng Hui was staring at her with twinkling eyes and a thief.

"You are satisfied." She said, "Tell me, why do you have to keep me?"

"Of course it's for your own good." Teng Hui held her head up. "A man is like a child. The easier it is to get, the less he will cherish it. You listen to my advice, if you want to be with him for a long time, you can't let him hook his fingers."  Plunge in, give and take."

Yu Yan couldn't laugh or cry, and looked at her strangely: "Who did you listen to?"

"Mother said it." Teng Hui was eloquent, "She also said that this is a lesson she learned, so if I see you in the future, I must tell you clearly." (Remember the website website: www.hlnovel  .com
