Text Chapter 559 Unbearable Pain

Previous page        Return to Catalog        Next page

Is there a paradise in the world?

Different people will have different answers, and the answer is there on the big screen of the Kodak Theater at this time, but it is different from the paradise in people's common sense, and it is also different from the paradise in TLB's original work. There is no home and lively paradise with the singing of birds and the fragrance of flowers.  A high school, or a grand square.  `

There were a series of footprints on the snow, and Susie walked towards the dilapidated double-storey Victorian house in confusion, and stopped to watch.

"Hi!" A girl called out at this time. Susie turned around in surprise and saw a black Asian mixed-race girl walking over. She was wearing a fashionable plaid skirt and black boots from the 1970s.  , walking briskly, with a smile on her beautiful young face, and her long shawl shining like silk.

Her appearance immediately brought a ray of sunshine to the depressing screen both inside and outside the screen.

"Hi" Susie was confused.  The girl who walked over smiled and said, "My name is Hallie." Susie introduced herself as "Susie" and then asked, "Excuse me, where is this?"

While walking and talking about the camera, Harley smiled and walked to the right side of the frame. Susie followed behind. Harley turned around and danced around. The heavy snow stopped quietly, and the sky was clearing. Susie was surprised.  Looking around, "Is this heaven?"

Harley then introduced: "No, this is an intermediate station. Everyone who comes here has their own area, like a residence. You can call it private paradise, it doesn't matter." She smiled,  My right hand reached into the air, and there was a glass of green lemon juice in my hand.  Susie frowned and looked at it with no interest.

Harley raised her hand to drink the juice and said: "Here, just think about what you want. When you are bored, you can watch the world. Give it a try! Just think about who you want to watch."  She stuck out her tongue and looked down to see if there was any change in color. Her expression was playful and she seemed to be enjoying herself.

This ray of sunshine continues to relax the heartstrings of the audience.

"Really?" Susie obviously longed for this. She thought about it intently. From the long shot behind them, a transparent glass-like image wall shone on the edge of the deep forest in front of the two of them. Only the human world in the daytime could be seen.  On the streets of the town, Jack and Abigail are looking for their daughter in confusion. Sideways medium shot. Susie suddenly screams: "Dad! Mom!"

The audience is curious and anxious.

"They can't hear you." In the close-up shot of the two people from the front, Harley said with a look, and her tone became a little depressed: "They can't see you either."

Susie watched in silence as her parents took her photos and asked passers-by, "Hello! Have you seen this girl? She is our daughter Susie" The corners of her mouth trembled, and the sky began to snow heavily again.  The image on the video wall changed. In the school classroom where the class was held, the middle-aged and elderly female teacher was Mrs. Stead. Everyone was listening to the class. Ray was expressionless, Clarissa was playing with Joe Ellis, and Susie's seat  Empty

"Wouldn't you like a drink? Or mint ice cream?" Mid-front view, before Harley finished speaking, there was a piece of mint ice cream on her left hand. She took a delicious bite and said, "In heaven, think about what you want.  That¡¯s it. Just think clearly and understand why, and your dreams will come true.¡±

The image of heaven changed again. Mr. Harvey was driving a gray van on a small, muddy driveway in the wild. The car was a little shaky, as if it was carrying something heavy.  Suddenly, there was a big pothole, the car shook violently, and the sack on the right side of the back seat crashed into the inside of the car.

Mr. Harvey, who was whistling in celebration in the car, was also violently shaken. The whistle suddenly stopped and he cursed: "Damn it."

Susie didn¡¯t speak, her expression became increasingly sad and angry.  Panoramic shot, there was sudden thunder and lightning in heaven, and the snow fell even harder. Amid the roaring thunder, terrifying giant dead trees spread from all sides and stopped next to the video wall. Susie's paradise became even narrower.  .

Harley seemed to be frightened and took a few steps back, looking at Susie worriedly.

"Really?" Susie said angrily. In the video wall, Mr. Harvey's van was parked on the side of the sinkhole. He held the bulging sack with both hands and threw it into the sinkhole.  The audience was extremely heartbroken at this moment. Everyone knew what was in the bag. In this heavenly overhead shot, we could see the sludge and sewage at the bottom of the cave swallowing up the sack. The bag sank little by little and soon disappeared.  ¡

Side mid-shot, Susie's tearful eyes on the left are full of hatred. Looking at the holographic image of Mr. Harvey on the right, she takes out a delicate silver bracelet for girls from her pocket and smells it. She is wearing the same bracelet on her right wrist.  , a bracelet inlaid with Pennsylvania stones, and accessories such as a small bicycle, small ballet shoes, a small floral blue and a small thimble.

Mr. Harvey also threw the silver bracelet into the sinkhole.

Susie¡¯s voice was hoarse and trembling: ¡°I want him to die, I want him to be alive!¡±

Harley was a little embarrassed after hearing this: "Thisno¡¡"

"Why?" Susie looked at Harry angrily.

Why not?  Why is this so?  This kind of thing happens, and then the bad guy is still alive and well, and she is trapped here?

Looking at Susie like this, she seemed to be a walking corpse filled with hatred, and the audience's hearts, which had just been warmed a little, were feeling cold again.

"I don't know." Harley spread her hands out in a daze, and the lime juice and mint ice cream in her hands turned into specks of light and scattered. "I've only been here for three days." Susie was startled, and Harley saw that it was fake.  He smiled and said, "Don't ask for so much. At least we can still watch the human world and pretend that we are living a good life!"

After Harry said that, he turned around and left.  Susie looked at her back calmly, and the camera shot back. Harley walked and said: "But I got a suggestion, go for a walk. Watching the world is addictive, like taking drugs. I'm leaving.  , just call me if you want me!" The camera cut back, and Harley turned into a point of light as she walked.

Susie withdrew her gaze and stared blankly at the video wall. Her parents were still wandering on the street.  A faintly sad narration sounded: "Is there anything more important than the person I love in this world? No." When it came to love, Susie's words stopped and she became depressed.

There was silence in the theater, and the audience could do nothing but feel heartbroken, and perhaps pray that Susie could cheer up and be that quirky, innocent and happy girl.

    May I?  Is it possible?

As the scene changes on the screen, the human tragedy begins.

During the day, the cornfield was shrouded in seriousness. There were police cordons being set up. There were also police officers with police dogs looking for something in the mud. There was also a middle-aged man who looked like a police officer holding a flower covered in mud with white gloves.  Pom Pom Bell Beanie was talking to Mrs. Stead, who nodded sadly.

The camera shows everything, at the door of Shamon's house, the police officer came to the door with two policemen. Jack and Abigail on the porch looked nervous. Jack asked: "Ryan, what's new?" Officer Ryan said in a deep voice.  Said: "We found a hat." He took out the fur hat that was put into the evidence bag from the police briefcase, and the bell rang.

Frontal mid-shot of two people. As soon as she saw this hat, Abigail's face on the right suddenly lost all color, her body swayed, and her eyes were dull.  Jack was not much better, and said with difficulty: "This is Susie's hat." Medium shot of multiple people on the side, Ryan on the left said again: "We also found" He wanted to speak but didn't know how.  Jack asked impatiently: "What did you find?" Ryan finally said: "A piece of elbow." For a moment, Abigail screamed and cried in pain, the cry was like metal breaking, helpless  Stand firm and fall to the ground.  Jack hugged her and said in a suppressed cry, "You mean, Susie is dead?" Hearing this, Abigail cried even louder

"Jack." Ryan said, paused, and said comfortingly: "Nothing is 100% certain."

Jack was sluggish, but Abigail's crying had subsided, as if he had gained new hope, like a drowning person grabbing a life-saving straw, and cried: "Yes! Nothing is 100% certain.  , you can still live even if you lose one hand, Susie is not dead." Her expression became fanatical, "Ryan, please find her, please!" She was numbing herself and refusing to accept the truth.

Ryan nodded and said: "We will try our best. But" A close-up view of the front, he was very solemn: "The current evidence requires us to assume that Susie has been killed. From now on, we will investigate it as a homicide. I really  terribly sorry."

The atmosphere in the theater was heavy, anxious, and sad. The audience was restless. Susie's body was already

It was dark again on the screen, and the dining room of the Salmon family was falling into dead silence. Abigail was leaning against the kitchen cabinet blankly, with a red face from alcohol. There was an open bottle of whiskey beside the sink, and in the sink.  A mess of unwashed dishes.

With soft footsteps, Lindsey walked in. Her rock-like expression seemed to tell everyone, "I will never collapse." She asked in a calm tone, "Mom? What's wrong with Susie?" Abigail didn't speak.  As if she hadn't seen Lindsey, she picked up the bottle of whiskey.

"She's dead, right?" Lindsey asked again, her tone still calm, her face expressionless, but tears welled up in her eyes.

"Your sister is not dead!" Abigail suddenly felt like she was being stepped on. "How can you say such things? Susie will come back! Go back to your room, your sister is not dead"

The lights in the Salmon family's study were dim, and the previously warm study was filled with sadness. Jack, wearing a taupe sweater and washed blue jeans, sat behind the desk. The snow globe on the table and the ship in a bottle that he had made before were so conspicuous.  , the quarrel coming from downstairs was blurred

Jack¡¯s haggard face looked dazed, his beard was unkempt, and he looked like a dying old man.  He suddenly took the ship in the bottle with a gentle movement, his eyes were a little red, and he slowly said to himself: "Susie, my baby, my little sailor girlSusie, my baby"

He put down the ship in a bottle, stood up and turned around to look at the bookcase full of ships in a bottle behind him, "You always like these smaller sailboats"

At this time, a sad soundtrack sounded, and a long moving shot came quietly. Jack suddenly howled loudly and couldn't suppress it anymore. He grabbed a small ship in a bottle in the bookcase and smashed it out. The ship in the bottle exploded on the ground.  , he kept smashing, punching and kicking the bookcase randomly.

Bang, bang, bang!  Ships in bottles exploded one after another, leaving glass shards and sailboat molds all over the floor.

"Dad" In the snowy paradise, Susie looked at her father who was still smashing in the video wall, and listened to his painful howl, and her face was filled with tears, "Dad"

In the study room of the Salmon family, Jack shouted and swept away the things on the desk with both hands. He grabbed the ship in a bottle and smashed it out. With a bang, he started to cry. Then he gasped to suppress himself and grabbed the ship again.  The snow globe is about to be smashed

"Dad!" Susie's cry could be heard.

At this time, the camera was focused on the glass ball, and Susie's tear-filled face appeared on the surface of the ball, and the study room fell silent for an instant.  In the front mid-close shot, Jack stares blankly at the glass ball. When the long shot is taken back, he hugs the glass ball and sits on the ground, leaning weakly against the bookcase. The suppressed cry is revealed from the breath: "Susie, my little  Sailor girl"

The camera cut to Buckley's room. Wearing pajamas with a nap pattern, he looked out the door. Jack's cry could be heard faintly. Buckley's face was confused and a little scared, and he looked serious. He murmured: "Susie  , where are you? Come back quickly, don't let your parents worry."

In Lindsey¡¯s room, Lindsey was doing sit-ups on the floor beside the bed, one after another, focusing on breathing, inhaling, exhaling, inhaling, exhaling

In heaven, Susie fell slumped in the snow, and the camera was lifted from a low angle. The image wall disappeared around her, and the falling snow was drowning her.

well!  Sighs were heard one after another outside the screen. Many viewers felt mentally and physically exhausted. Their throbbing hearts were numb from the pain. Jack's burst of grief made the powerlessness so profound that he felt so empty in his heart that he really couldn't bear it anymore.

This movie has tortured them so much that their psychological self-protection mechanisms have begun to activate. They want to escape from the screen and save themselves in a dramatic way. This is just a movie If they didn't care about Susie, and didn't want to see how Mr. Harvey deserved his crime, the whole audience would  More than 3,000 spectators may all leave within five minutes.  `

Movie creators all know that if the screen cannot quickly relax the atmosphere and give the audience the motivation to continue watching, then it will be a failure and unbearable.

¡°That¡¯s why we need a clown, Grandma Lynne.

Peter Jackson and his wife are looking forward to it. Is the negative clown that the boy strongly advocates strong enough?  But at this level, a rock montage would definitely not work, it would be too miserable.  How long can the audience concentrate and be willing to be tortured by that sharp knife?

The director behind the scenes has already seen everything. When the scene changes, a few empty shots show that it is Christmas. There are beautiful Christmas trees in the front yards of residential houses in the community, and there are also children wearing Santa Claus costumes playing.  But there was no festive atmosphere in the front yard of Salmon's house. Grandma, wearing an exaggerated mink coat, walked into the house carrying several bags of gifts.

"Jack!" the exaggerated voice-over shouted first, and then the shot of grandma walking into the living room with a smile, followed by Abigail, and grandma laughed and shouted: "We need some strong drinks!" Buckley ran happily.  Go up: "Grandma!" Grandma put down a few bags of gifts, picked him up and kissed him.  And Lindsey sat motionless on the left side of the sofa reading a magazine.  Jack, who was even more haggard, stood up and went to greet her. His words were low: "Lynn, this home is different from the last time you came here. I will pour you a glass of wine, but I must ask you to respect everyone."

"Oh, Jack, you are still handsome as hell!" Grandma seemed not to have heard Jack's words and gave him a big hug with a smile on her face, while Jack smiled forcedly.  Lindsey over there stood up to leave, and her grandmother shouted: "Lindsey! Where are you going? Did I make you annoying? Come back!" Lindsey stopped and looked back.

Abigail, who had a cold face, couldn't stand it anymore, "Mom stop making trouble"

Although the audience outside the screen did not laugh, they quietly breathed a sigh of relief. The beating frequency of their hearts finally became somewhat different. They couldn't help but hope that grandma would bring more life to this miserable family and comfort the Salmon family and the family.  them.

"Oh my God, today is Christmas Eve!" Grandma shouted, "SueQian also hopes that we will have a happy holiday.  By the way, what about holidays?  Jack said: "Lock him in the backyard."  "Abigail was silent. Lindsey didn't want to stay or leave. Buckley suddenly asked out of curiosity: "Where did Susie go?  "Grandma told him carelessly: "Susie passed away.  Abigail's expression changed immediately, "Mom."  Buckley asked again: "What is death?"  "Grandma replied again: "He's gone forever.  Susie is a good girl, but her life is a bit miserable.  "

Jack¡¯s face also darkened, and Abigail became even more angry: ¡°Mom, please!¡±

??The audience knows that what grandma said is the truth, and they can also understand that she is persuading everyone to accept the reality, but just like Abigail, it is really difficult to accept

"Grandma." Linxi suddenly called, everyone looked at her, and she asked surprisingly: "Can you teach me how to put on makeup?"

Everyone on and off the screen was startled, except for grandma. She showed a joyful smile and announced loudly: "Linsey Shamon, you have a boyfriend!" Lindsey quickly whispered: "I don't." Grandma  She smiled and asked, "I don't care. If you want to learn makeup, you must first tell grandma what the name of the boy you meet tonight is?" Lindsey smiled a little shyly, "Samuel Hankel." Grandma suddenly exaggerated.  Laughing, and this time, Jack looked at each other with a wry smile. It was obvious that they had neglected Lindsey this time, but she was so strong.

With the soft soundtrack, the camera reaches heaven, the sky is clear, the ground is long grass, Susie and Harley are sitting at a casual round table, with some drinks and desserts on the table.  After a long time, Susie finally smiled once again, picked up a glass of juice and toasted to Harry.

The human image they looked at was in the dining room, where grandma put makeup on Lindsey, hooked her eyelashes, applied blush, and applied lipstick Buckley and Holiday were chasing and playing around.

Not only has the atmosphere of Susie's Paradise changed, but the atmosphere of the theater has also changed. Seeing the confinement of the Salmon family miraculously rekindle warmth, the audience suddenly likes the arrogant grandma, and the broken heart is gradually relaxing. It's strange.  It felt like many people were smiling along with Susie.

At night, on the porch of the Salmon house, Samuel, a teenage boy who looked to be thirteen or fourteen years old, met Lindsey.  Lindsey is even more beautiful with makeup, her blue eyes are very bright, and she has the shadow of Susie.  Samuel gave Lindsey half a golden heart as a gift, and he wore the other half himself. He wore it for her, and she looked very shy.

In the dining room, both Jack and Abigail had passed out drunkenly on the dining table, but one of them was at this end of the table and the other was at the other end, seeming to be distancing themselves from each other.  Buckley was at the table unpacking the gift box his grandma had brought. It was a rag doll for girls to play with, and he looked puzzled.

Grandma was standing at the door between the dining room and the backyard. She was smoking a cigarette and exhaling a stream of smoke. Her old face was expressionless as she looked at the night sky, showing a trace of sadness.

Grandma¡¯s sadness, which was no longer hidden, suddenly made the audience¡¯s smiles disappear again. They were sad, hurt, and even burst into tears.

This energetic old man¡¯s nonsense is just to comfort others. How could she not feel sad?  She hopes Susie lives a long life

Negative clown mentor!  The effect is surprisingly good.  Peter Jackson suddenly understood that the key is not the clown, but the mentor. When the audience feels that the grandmother's nonsense is firmly pointing the direction, then her nonsense will be convincing, can be understood and accepted, and can relieve the mood.  But in the end, her alone sadness made the atmosphere moderately negative, achieving emotional unity and the director's control of relaxing the atmosphere.

? Adapting it to a festival is also key. Grandma will have enough reasons to make trouble, and the audience will have enough reasons to laugh. Festivals are for temporarily forgetting worries.

Spielberg, who is not far away, can¡¯t help but praise silently. Now it seems that positive clowns are indeed likely to be a disaster.

After Susie¡¯s accident, this story can be intensely sad, but it is unable to withstand other overly intense emotions, especially joy.  It can only be relieved slowly and carefully, because it is impossible for the audience to completely relax and relax. The story is too serious and does not tolerate any kind of playfulness.

The boy¡¯s judgment is correct.  How much sensitivity does this kind of grasp require?  Owned by a young man less than twenty years old.  Even he found it incredible.

The ordinary viewers who were encouraged did not know so much. Anyway, the appearance of grandma miraculously injected some vitality into the dull and painful screen. It was like seeing a grass growing stubbornly in the wasteland. Although the surroundings were still ruined, it finally came back to life.  Got some life.

I have an idea, listen to grandma and work hard to cheer up!

Before the scene transitioned on the screen, Susie¡¯s soft narration sounded:

"No matter what happened, 1974 still arrived. The police and my father questioned many people, but there was no progress in the investigation of the case. At the end of March, KaidingThe elder proposed to hold a memorial ceremony for me, and my father agreed as if he was sleepwalking. My mother still did not believe that I had been killed, and she did not attend.  But almost everyone in the school came and praised me so much, as if just because I died, Susie Shamoon became a great person.  "

First, there was an image of Ryan waiting for several police officers to come to question a short middle-aged man, and then in the police office, Ryan shook his head at Jack.  When Susie talked about the memorial ceremony, the image was synchronized to a small town church. People in formal attire filled rows of benches. Mr. Burt, who was delivering a speech on the stage, cried bitterly.

The camera swept across the rows of guests. In the middle of the first row were the Salmon family members who looked lonely. Grandma was there, but Abigail could not be seen. In the second row were teachers, students and friends, including the Knight family, the Stadler family and others.  Madam, Samuel, Ruth, Artie and others all looked solemn, but Clarissa was secretly having fun with a tall boy

The audience didn¡¯t see Lei!  Why didn't Ray show up?  Where is he?

At this time, the narration ended, and the camera turned to the tree-lined alley during the day. Ray wandered and looked at the church in the distance. He was also wearing a black formal suit and holding a book in his hand, which was the collection of Jimenez's poems that Susie had exchanged with him before.  .  Lei still didn't walk over. He sat down on a bench by the roadside and opened the poetry collection in his hand.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????: Susie¡¯s graduation photo is sandwiched between the pages of the poetry collection, her unnatural smile showing white teeth.  Panoramic side view, Ray stared at Susie's photo. When the camera cut back, clear tears fell on the photo, and the poetry book was suddenly closed.

Lei weakly leaned against the back of the bench, his face was sad, and his tears were full of self-blame and regret.

"Thunder" In heaven, Susie, standing next to the holographic image at the edge of the forest, called softly. She reached out to wipe the tears on his face, but her fingers penetrated the image.

It seems to be within reach, but there is a gap between yin and yang.

The screen image returned to the church, and the memorial service was about to end. Jack stood by the stage, and the guests sent comfort to him one by one: "I am very sorry for your loss.", "I hope Susie is happy in heaven."  , "I really hope the case will be solved as soon as possible." Although Jack shook hands with them and nodded, he was very absent-minded. His eyes looked forward, and he suddenly seemed to notice something.

With Jack¡¯s subjective shot, the audience was suddenly shocked that Mr. Harvey was here too!  He was just looking at the door of the church with an innocent smile on his face, as if he was here to enjoy other people's pain and show off his joy of getting away with it.  Susie's anxious voice-over sounded vaguely as if coming from heaven: "Dad, it's him! He's the murderer!"

    Frontal mid-range shot, Jack frowns.

Did he hear anything?  What did he think of?

A hazy flashback shot appeared on the screen, which seemed to be when Mr. Harvey first moved to the town. Jack and Abigail were laughing and chatting enthusiastically with their new neighbor. Mr. Harvey refused and said: "No, my  My wife Sophie died of illness not long ago, and I don¡¯t like the excitement.¡± The two immediately said apologetically, ¡°I¡¯m sorry for your loss.¡± Then Susie, who was not far away, shouted with a smile.  "Dad, if we want to play Monopoly, all we need is you, hurry up!"

The smile on Mr. Harvey's face when he saw Susie was exactly the same as the smile on his face at the church.

At the end of the flashback, Mr. Harvey's eyes met Jack's, and the two looked at each other. His smile disappeared, and he nodded slightly and turned around to leave.

Jack¡¯s expression changed a little, and the audience¡¯s hearts were already tightening again.

Panoramic view from outside the church, people attending the memorial ceremony dispersed in twos and threes.  The image was focused on Ruth, who came alone. She was walking on the tree-shaded path, and suddenly she saw Lei sitting on the bench in front of her, and he was looking back.

    "Hello, Ruth." Ray greeted.

"Hello, Ray." Ruth continued walking, and Ray stood up.

Mid-front shot, two people walking and talking side by side. Ruth on the left is holding her handbag in both hands and whispers: "I saw her." Lei on the right is holding a collection of poems in his left hand. He is silent for a moment and says: "I see her every day.  Everyone will see her." Ruth looked at him, without explaining what she really meant, and asked, "You are here, why don't you go in?" Lei Wei said with eyes closed, "She is not there" in a very soft voice.  .  Ruth nodded and said, "People just need a farewell ceremony so that they can forget Susie with peace of mind." Ray looked at her immediately.

This is the first time he has looked at her in the film so far. Apparently he listened to her opinion and realized that Ruth is not a vulgar girl.

"Then why did you go in?" Lei asked.

A faint smile appeared on Ruth's cold face, as if she was mocking herself or something, "I need it too."

Lei laughed mockingly and looked away, "I don't want to"Remember her.  "

"She's dead, Ray," Ruth said. "We're still alive. It's not easy for anyone."

Lei was silent for a few moments before saying: "Maybe she is still alive."

    "Perhaps," said Ruth.

At this time, the screen reached heaven. Susie stared blankly at the backs of Ray and Ruth in the video wall. They talked all the way away. Ray said to Ruth: "I thought you were a weirdo." Ruth said.  : "Am I not?" Both of them chuckled immediately.  Susie lowered her head, and the image of the human world disappeared. It was already a desolate and narrow paradise. She told every audience that her mood must be a hundred times more severe than the audience's own heartache.

Suddenly, in a series of visually shocking and heartbreaking shots, with the roar of collapse, the dilapidated double-story house collapsed into ruins, and the dead giant trees in the forest around the wasteland also fell one after another.  The force surged toward Susie who was imprisoned.

When the heaven fell into silence, the front view was panoramic, with Susie on the left sitting on a rotten tree that had fallen to the ground. Harley came from behind and asked in surprise: "What's going on?"

"I'm dead." Susie murmured without looking back, "Harry, we are all dead." Harley sat down on Susie's right side and sighed: "Don't miss me, you will feel better.  "Susie didn't speak, she frowned and didn't know what she was thinking.

The air in the theater began to solidify again. The film was shown for 68 minutes, and many viewers were heartbroken again.  Although the invisible sharp knife is not as cruel as the first turning point that makes people tremble, but the sudden cut, the stitches to stitch the wound, and the sudden cut again, this kind of pain is even more uncomfortable than the end of the knife.

Fans know that when the film reaches this point, it reaches the midpoint of the story a little late.  Susie is dead, the case remains unsolved, and except for Mr. Harvey, every good guy on screen is miserable and defeated.  There's about an hour left, what will happen?

The screen image continued, and Jack's different clothing styles showed that it was not the same day. He obviously suspected Mr. Harvey and communicated with the police. He was in his front yard looking over there as Mr. Harvey got out of the van and went home, haha  Mr. Wei was surprised to see Ryan and three police officers waiting there.

The audience had just become nervous, but as the phone rang, the scene changed. Jack, with a different look, was holding the receiver of the dial phone in the living room at home, and Ryan's voice came out: "Jack, we have investigated clearly these days, George."  -Harvey is not suspected of committing the crime.¡±

Please!  No engrossed audience is not upset. This is just perfunctory. Both the video and the police are doing it. Is this the end of the investigation?  What are you doing!  ?

Jack immediately looked dissatisfied and said angrily: "Susie has been missing for half a year! Summer is here and you haven't found anything." The camera went to the police office and Ryan said apologetically: "We are very sorry" Jack said  Sighing and pleading words came out: "You must check him again." In the living room of the Salmon family, Jack looked helpless. Abigail hurried through the living room, not paying attention to her husband's appearance.  Ryan's persuasive voice said: "Jack, George Harvey is no different from the other people you have suspected. He is just an innocent single man. Stop harassing these people, or you will get into trouble." Jack did not speak.  Put down the phone.

In the frontal close-up, his eyes looked a little strange, as if he was thinking of something.

The scene changed. In the hallway next to the house during the day, Mr. Harvey was setting up a wooden tent. He was wearing a thin white shirt, still wearing round-rimmed glasses and a mustache, and his expression was strange.  He suddenly saw something and turned back the camera, only to see Jack walking towards him with a sullen expression.

The audience¡¯s hearts were filled with excitement: If the police don¡¯t investigate, Jack will investigate on his own!

"What is this?" Jack asked on the screen, staring at Mr. Harvey.

"This is a mat tent." Mr. Harvey replied with a smile while working non-stop.

"What is a mat tent?" Jack asked again.  Mr. Harvey picked up a pile of cotton cloth and covered the roof of the tent with a casual tone: "This is the custom of the Bara people in Africa. They set up this kind of tent when they get married. It's almost my wedding anniversary and Leah's.  Every year at this time, I build a tent for her, Leah is my late wife.¡±

Jack¡¯s brows suddenly furrowed, his eyes flashed with raging anger, and a voiceover sounded ¡°My wife Sophie¡±.  The audience's hearts are beating fast

"Do you know anything about my daughter's case?" Jack asked coldly.

Mr. Harvey stopped and looked at Jack, facing his gaze, his expression gradually became a little unnatural, and he said with an averted look: "I heard about your daughter's misfortune, her name is Susie, right? You  I feel so sorry for you for losing your daughter."

Jack's scowl was even worse. The sound of "Susie" echoed like the hiss of a snake walking around.? turned to Mr. Harvey, understanding, "You know something!"

"I heard that the police found her body parts. This kind of thing is really terrible. I also hope they catch that bastard soon." Mr. Harvey said, without smiling or moving, as if to comfort him: "Sha  Mr. Meng, I understand how it feels to lose a family member, but I can¡¯t help you.¡±

Looking at Mr. Harvey¡¯s shameless face, the audience was shaking with anger

In heaven, Susie was so angry that she trembled all over and yelled angrily at the image on earth: "Dad, it's him! He's the murderer! Don't let him go!"

"I know it's you." Jack glared at Mr. Harvey, his fists shaking.

"Well, go home. Why don't you go home?" Mr. Harvey smiled gently, as if to say that Jack was insane because of the loss of his daughter, and he did not care about madmen.  Jack's anger became louder: "You murderous bastard!!" Mr. Harvey shook his head without saying anything, turned around, walked back to his house, and closed the door.

The theater suddenly rang with a thrilling soundtrack, and the synchronized screen images were a series of subjective shots of Mr. Harvey. In the dark bedroom, he put a sketch notebook under the bed; in the disgusting basement, he put the saw blade,  The razor and other tools were put together again; he picked up a secretly photographed photo of Lindsey.

Night had fallen, and Jack stood by the window on the second floor of the Salmon house and looked out, only to see Mr. Harvey walking out of the house.

A few shots later, Jack turned around and walked quickly. He hurried down the stairs and out the door, grabbing a baseball bat from the porch.  The soundtrack became more intense, and the camera cut to heaven. Susie stared at her father as he followed him in the dark night. Next to her, Hallie worriedly asked, "What does he want to do?" Susie opened her mouth but was speechless.
