According to Jin Yong's novel Swordsman, there is a strange martial arts book in the Forbidden Palace called Sunflower Book.  The Sunflower Book is said to have been annotated by an eunuch in the third year of Hongwu. It is divided into two sections. The upper section is about mental methods and the lower section is about moves.  In the eighth year of Yongle's reign, the Sunflower Book was stolen from the Forbidden Palace by a scholar who compiled the Yongle Canon.

For some unknown reason, the later scholar became a monk in a temple in Zhejiang and at the same time donated the scripture to the abbot of the temple. The abbot received the scripture and placed it in the Sutra Collection Pavilion.  A pair of brothers from Huashan came to the temple for several months and stayed in the temple. At night, they sneaked into the Sutra Pavilion.  In order not to attract the attention of the monks in the temple, they each read the upper and lower scriptures silently in the Sutra Pavilion.  Then he hurriedly left the temple.

The pair of brothers returned to Huashan and began to memorize the scriptures silently. They found that the upper part did not follow the lower part, and they were wrong.  Afterwards, each practiced the scriptures he memorized silently.  Since the two of them only read the content and not the catalog notes, they naturally did not know whether the texts of the upper and lower texts were different.  At this time, the Sword Sect and the Qi Sect appeared in Huashan. The Sword Sect has changed its strength and moves and believes that there is no need to practice internal strength, while the Qi Sect believes that the sword is supplementary to the internal strength.

The Sword Sect believes that as long as the sword skills are exquisite, there is no need to practice internal strength for several years or more than ten years, while the Qi Sect believes that as long as the internal strength is deep, you can win even with mediocre sword moves.  In fact, Huashan sword energy is originally one body. In the first year of sword training in Huashan, you practice swordsmanship and five years later you practice internal skills.  Some people have been practicing for five years and feel that practicing internal skills is a waste of time, so they only learn swordsmanship. This practice of internal skills makes Huashan disciples dissatisfied and the Huashan family breaks up.

At this time, the pair of brothers from Huashan began to practice the treasure book. The former practiced Qi and the latter practiced strength.  The former even added Huashan Neigong's mental method to the treasured mental method, which was later regarded as the most precious Zixia Jue by Huashan Qi Sect.  Soon the abbot was informed that the Huashan disciples had stolen the temple's treasure book. The abbot asked one of his disciples to read the annotation on the book's catalogue, which said that in order to practice magic, one must first commit suicide.  The host asked the disciple to read a section of the catalog and then burn the book in the Sutra Pavilion. He also asked the disciple to go down the mountain so that the Huashan disciples should not practice the evil martial arts above.

This disciple came to Huashan and told the brothers that he had seen an annotation in the book and advised them not to practice anymore.  But the two men showed the monk the scriptures they had written silently, and the monk read the two scriptures.  He left Huashan in a hurry, but in a cave he wrote a treasure book silently on his cassock, and also wrote an annotation at the beginning of the previous paragraph, saying that if you want to practice magical skills, you must first leave the palace.

Because of his hurry, the monk did not memorize all of it but only two-thirds of his mental skills. He only remembered seventy-two of the eighty-sword moves.  After that, the monk disappeared from the world in order to return to the monastery.  In the tenth year of Yongle, the Sunflower Book was stolen and Ouchi learned that the Jinyiwei of the Fourth and Twelfth Routes began to search for the book among the people.  After learning that the book had been obtained by Huashan, he disguised himself as the Sun Moon Sect and attacked Huashan. He seriously injured the pair of brothers and took back the book.

When the book returned to the Forbidden Palace, the steward of the book collection in the Forbidden Palace, like the leading eunuchs, explained the content of the book. It was learned that the book was divided into two parts, one talking about mental methods and the other talking about moves.  If you practice Kung Fu quickly, you can achieve self-reliance. You don¡¯t need to self-gong to practice mental methods or move skills, but you can only achieve small success but not great wisdom.  Because the above text in the palace is not followed by the context, it will lead to obsession. The mental method is divided into five sections, with twenty-eight types of weapons and ten items.  Practicing one type of move and using one type of weapon is endless.  Although the unintentional moves are refined, they are not ineffective. The intentional ones can only preserve youth forever.

When the emperor asked about the book, the chief eunuch actually said that the book was just a guide to growing flowers. The emperor was greatly depressed after hearing this and ordered the chief eunuch to put it in the imperial academy.  The chief eunuch kept the book secretly instead of putting it in the Royal Academy. Later, it was stolen by a guard in Jinyi. The guard quickly resigned and left.  The chief eunuch did not find out about this until the Jin Yiwei left for several days.  The Jinyiwei who obtained the book read the book. Not only did the chief eunuch revise the book, he also annotated the book's table of contents at the beginning.  Therefore, if you want to practice magical skills, you must first go to the palace.  That is to say, he does not live in the palace, but only half-cultivates magical skills.

Many people only read the first paragraph and commit suicide without reading the annotations of the full text, which leads to a mistake that will lead to ancient regrets.  Soon Huashan formed the Five Mountains Alliance in order to retaliate against the Sun and Moon Sect. They crossed the cliff in Huashan to confront the elders of the Sun and Moon Sect. The Sun and Moon Sect did not know that the Jin Yiwei pretended to be them and committed the murder. They agreed to come to Huashan to learn martial arts, but they were attacked by the Five Sacred Sect and trapped in the cave.  .  Before his death, Elder Sun and Moon wrote down the sword move to defeat the Five Mountains. He thought it was because Wuyue lost and refused to accept the blame, so he used a trick.  With this incident alone, the Sun Moon Sect and the Central Plains Wulin became enemies.

After that, Huashan took great action to determine the direction of Huashan's swordsmanship in the battle of sword energy. Because Qi Zong sent a group of masters from Jian Zong down the mountain, they failed to catch up with the sword energy competition, and Qi Zong completely defeated Jian Zong.  Since then, the Huashan Qi Sect has become Zhengtong, and the masters of the Sword Sect have returned to Huashan because they did not participate in the duel. Only Feng Qingyang returned to Huashan and lived in seclusion at Siguo Cliff.  Soon a bodyguard bureau appeared in the arena, and the bodyguard bureau established a way to shock the martial arts world with seventy-two sword techniques.  Because this swordsmanship is Yinxie, it is called the Seventy-two Paths of Xuexie Swordsmanship.

Later, the abbot of the temple in Zhejiang learned about the escort agency and the swordsmanship, and he was sure that this person was the disciple who went to persuade Brother Huashan not to practice the canon but did not return to the temple.  Soon the abbot came to the escort agency and told the man who had returned to secular life. You must not tell others the secrets of the book.  In fact, that disciple had already committed suicide, deliberately married a wife in order not to attract attention, and found an abandoned baby to raise.  It doesn't look like normal people.  Jin Yiwei, who returned home after receiving the book, was hunted down by the eunuch's men, the chief eunuch. Seeing that he was desperate, he handed the book to his sworn brother.  Since this brother is the tenth generation elder of the Sun Moon Sect, the tenth generation elder gave the book to Ren Woxing. After reading it, Ren Woxing felt that the book's martial arts Yinxie gave it to Dongfang Bubai.

Since then, there are three parts of the book in the world: Zixia Jue, Seventy-two Paths of Xie Xie Sword, and the Sunflower Book revised by the eunuch chief.  Zixia Jue is originally a Huashan internal strength method, which emphasizes the use of Qi in sword moves. After adding the Baodian method, the Huashan method can not only improve the internal strength but also save lives and injuries based on the original method.  The seventy-two ways of Xie Xie Sword are only two-thirds of the central method of the book. The moves of the sword are the application of seventy-two of the eighty-four ways of the sword.  Finally, two of the five sentences at the beginning are written at the beginning.  As a result, it would be a pity not to practice half of it from the palace. I would rather practice it from the palace than learn it.

The first five lines of the Sunflower Collection explain that in order to practice the Divine Palace, one must first practice the Divine Palace.  Since the palace is weak, it is not easy to succeed.  If you don't have your own palace, you can cultivate half of it.  Men practice Qi and women practice blood.  When Yin and Yang are in balance, success is easy to achieve.
