The Huashan sect was born in the Yuan Dynasty and is known as the six major sects along with Shaolin, Wudang, Emei, Kunlun and Kongtong.

At that time, it was not famous for its swordsmanship.  When the Dou Ming Cult of the six sects was established at Guangmingding, the leader used the life-and-death fighting skills of an eagle and a snake, which were close to fists and kicks.  Elder Huashan used the Liangyi Sword Technique.  Nothing particularly outstanding.

It seems that the mainstream martial arts in the late Yuan Dynasty were fists, kicks and powerful heavy weapons.  The Shaolin School's Dragon Claw Hand and the Kongtong School's Seven Injury Fist are world-famous kung fu.  Kunlun, who was famous for his swordsmanship, was weak in Emei.  Even the Beggar Gang's dog-beating stick technique is not outstanding.

After the Ming Dynasty, the Huashan School of Swordsmanship rose to prominence and formed the Five Mountains Sword School with Taishan, Songshan, Hengshan and Hengshan.  In essence, it shows the decline of the status of Huashan martial arts.  In the early years, it dropped from being on par with Shaolin and Wudang to relying on the Five Mountains Sword Sect to barely become a second-rate sect in the world.  Even Zuo Lengchan, leader of the Five Sacred Mountains Alliance, is proud of his constant flattery to the head of Shaolin Wudang.  Forget about the Songshan sect, the Huashan sect was on equal footing with Kunlun and the Beggar Clan back then.  It's hard to accept this fact.

The problem with the Huashan Sect is that the martial arts they inherited are not top-notch enough.  As Yue Buqun analyzed, although geniuses occasionally appear in the sect and their martial arts skills are unique for a while, they cannot be passed down from generation to generation.  As for the Shaolin Temple, although there may not be the best masters in the world in every generation, relying on the family background of the Sutra Pavilion and Bodhidharma Academy, the leadership martial arts will last for thousands of years.

The situation of the Huashan Sect is somewhat similar to that of the later Wudang Sect and Xianxia Sect.  Except for the best master in the world, the successor to the head will have to rely on many connections and friendships to gain a foothold in the world.  Therefore, it is reasonable for Huashan disciples who are eager to improve their martial arts to steal the Sunflower Book.  As a result, the two Sword Qi Sect incidents accelerated the decline of the Huashan Sect.

Linghu Chong's wish to improve his martial arts was finally fulfilled by Linghu Chong.  Not only did the Wuyue Sword Sect return to Huashan after its decline, but it also added the Dugu Nine Swords passed down by Feng Qingyang.  In fact, if the two Sword Qi sects had not fought each other with all their efforts, with the Nine Swords obtained by Feng Lao, the Huashan Sect would have regained its prestige a hundred years ago.  These nine swords must have come from the Zhongnan Mountain Ancient Tomb Sect.  Therefore, he has the bloodline of Yang Guo's martial arts.

With only swordsmanship, the Huashan Sect is still just a sword sect.  I'm afraid it will be difficult to compete with the big schools like Shaolin Quan Wudang, which have comprehensive fist, foot, sword and internal skills.  The internal skills that Linghu Chong learned include the Zixia Magic Skill of his own sect. Firstly, its power is average, but secondly, it cannot be practiced because of its incompatible personality.  There is also a method of attracting stars, which is tabooed by the world.  Master Fang Zheng did not hesitate to bribe the leader of Linghu with Yi Jin Jin's supreme martial arts to give up this martial arts.  From then on this skill was no longer seen in the world.  Therefore, the Huashan School's internal swordsmanship is very famous.  But boxing skills are always mediocre.  At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the Huashan sect's heroes returned to Xinshu. The invincible divine fist actually relied on internal strength to control all directions. Few people could defeat his domineering inner strength in three moves.  As for the same thirty-six-step Hua Quan, even the descendants of Hu Jiadao, who are not famous for their boxing skills, can teach outstanding disciples of their sect.  Note that at that time, the number one master of Hua Quan Sect worked hard to develop his internal strength.  It also proves that Hua Quan focuses on internal strength rather than tricks.

In the end, the Huashan swordsmanship finally took the sword of Jianzong, while Huaquan inherited the pulse of Qizong.

The Huashan Sect has been worshiping Master Feng since the late Ming Dynasty. This is Linghu Chong, not Feng Qingyang.  Because Linghu Chong married Miss Ren of the Demon Cult and had too many entanglements with the heretics, he was forced to live in seclusion.  Therefore, his descendants used his pseudonym Feng Erzhong in Meizhuang to cover up people's ears.

It is quite laborious to research the origin of Lao Huashan Sect.  Because there is no clear explanation in Jin Yong's book.

Analyzing the six major sects of Guangmingding that attacked Mingjiao at that time, Shaolin boxing originated earliest, with Wudang and Emei starting in the late Song Dynasty.  The Kunlun sect predates Emei Wudang by more than a hundred years and was silent in the Central Plains at that time.  The Kongtong Sect claims that its leader, Mu Lingzi, lived to be 91 years old.  By calculation, he should be a master of the same generation as Guo Xiang, Zhang Sanfeng, and He Zudao.  They are both masters in the post-Huashan sword era.

Wudang and Emei have repeatedly been called the two new sects that emerged due to the Jueyuan incident. So the Huashan sect, Kunlun, and Kongtong should be sects of the same era. They were founded at least a hundred years ago, in the pre-Huashan sword era.  By calculation, the origin of the Huashan Sect should be consistent with the following points: 1. It is near the northwest, in the Huashan area.  2 It was unknown at the time, which shows that its founder was not a top-notch martial artist.  3. There is something extraordinary about the inheritance of martial arts, and it can be revealed a hundred years later.  4 The founder¡¯s martial arts are close to those between Confucianism and Taoism, and are definitely not Buddhist martial arts.  Because most of its leaders in the past dynasties were scholars.

After analysis, only Hangu Bayou, a branch of the Xiaoyao sect, met all the conditions.

    1. The activity location of the Eight Friends of Hangu is undoubtedly in the Shaanxi area.

    2. Their martial arts skills are not as good as those of their masters and ancestors. In addition, due to talent issues and being kicked out of the school, their martial arts skills are impure.  Later, the martial arts masters of Huashan School were like deaf-mute old men, who could stand shoulder to shoulder with the abbot of Shaolin Temple.  The weak ones are like the first and second-rate masters of Yayousun and Luohan Bodhidharma Hall. There is never a super first-rate master.

    3. The martial arts inheritance of this sect was one of the top sects in the world at that time, with a good foundation.  The Qingcheng sect, which was also a second-rate sect at that time, was far less famous than the Huashan sect.Loud.  Although both factions are also facing a martial arts crisis, Qingcheng seems to be more urgent.  By the way, there was also a Penglai sect who had become a pirate by the end of the Ming Dynasty, which was even worse.

    4. The eight friends of Hangu are famous for their music, chess, calligraphy, painting, medicine, and flowers.  The leaders of the Huashan Sect are also many elegant and romantic people.

And Huashan is a famous mountain unique to Taoism.  Xiaoyao sect's martial arts are somewhat close to Taoism.  The two cannot be said to have nothing to do with each other.  Before the Wudang Mountain School and the Zhongnan Mountain Quanzhen School became famous for their martial arts, Huashan Taoism founded by the ancestor Chen Tuan of the Five Dynasties was the most prosperous.  The Xiaoyao sect's martial arts methods are very similar to those of Huang Yaoshi's sect.  That is to say, the Xiao Wuxiang Gong and Beiming Divine Gong are missing.  It seems to be all the way to Xu Zhuzi.  In the pre-Huashan sword-discussing era, the famous sects in the world of martial arts included Shaolin, the Beggar Clan, the Duan Family of Dali, the Xiaoyao Sect, the Murong Family, and the Tubo Western Region martial arts had their own way.  The Xiaoyao sect first appeared outside the Beggar Clan and influenced most sects.

In the era of swordsmanship in Huashan, Shaolin is in decline, the Beggar Gang is in the afterglow era, and the Duan family in Dali remains as before.  Ouyang Feng represents the martial arts of the Western Regions.  The Quanzhen sect and Taohua Island martial arts suddenly emerged.  It is speculated that it is all related to the Xiaoyao Sect back then.  Huang Yaoshi's martial arts is close to that of Tianshan plum-breaking hand.  It seems that he has been changed to Luoying's colorful sword palm kick method and orchid brushing acupuncture points.  Tianshan Tonglao is good at dispensing hidden weapons, and Dongxie's magical power of snapping his fingers is very powerful, which is obviously the skill of dispensing life and death talismans.

Quanzhen Sect is the largest Taoist martial arts center. It is impossible not to be influenced by the Xiaoyao sect, which was the largest Taoist martial arts school in the past. The truth is obvious and does not require much proof.  In short, after Xiaoyao Sect disappeared in the rivers and lakes, a few flowers bloomed and scattered into the rivers and lakes.  They were introduced into the Quanzhen sect, Taohuadao sect, Tomb sect, Laohuashan sect and later the Emei sect.

Some people say that Hao Men of the Quanzhen sect founded the Huashan sect, which is wrong.  Quanzhen disciples are good at using swords, while Lao Huashan sect is good at fists, kicks and various instruments.  In the later period of the Huashan Sword Sect, it would be better to say that the talents of Huashan were withering, the martial arts was sluggish, and the fist and foot equipment could not be comprehensively improved to keep up with the times, so they had to focus on swordsmanship.  It is far inferior to the spirit of the Hua Quan Sect which claimed to be world-renowned.

The Haomen Huashan Sect is a branch of the Quanzhen Sect rather than a Jianghu sect, such as the Putian Lower Court of the Shaolin Temple.

It¡¯s just that the Huashan Sword Sect era was so famous that no one noticed the prosperity of the Huashan Boxing Sect era in the later period.  Therefore, the misunderstanding involves the Quanzhen sect, who is also good at swordsmanship and is close to Taoism.  The later decline of the Quanzhen sect was also related to its focus on swordsmanship and neglect of boxing.  Feng Qingyang warned Linghu Chong that after practicing the Nine Swords, he would not be able to compete with the world's heroes.  You must practice the internal strength of your fists and feet.  It's indeed on point.

The Huashan sect originated from the Eight Friends of Hangu. The foundation is not particularly rich, and there are few outstanding talents in the sect.  But it has been passed down for hundreds of years, from the Song Dynasty to the Yuan Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties.  It has great stamina and cannot be compared with other factions.  There is no comparable martial art except Shaolin.  Even after the beggar gang, which was in full swing at that time, withdrew from the frontline of the world, Huashan's reputation became more and more famous.  Even in the era when no one knew about the Demon Sect that dominated the world, the Huashan Sect continued to prosper.  There's no way to explain it.  Perhaps it is because Huashan Mountain has been the gathering place of royal energy since ancient times and the source of the prosperity of the Chinese clan.  With such good feng shui, Huashan cannot fail to develop.
