War is often the intensification of various social contradictions that cannot be reconciled at all.  It just happened.  In China, people¡¯s attitude towards war has been characterized by the spirit of bravery since ancient times: ¡°One inch of mountains and rivers, one inch of blood, one hundred thousand young people, one hundred thousand soldiers¡±, ¡°Yellow sand will wear golden armor in a hundred battles, and Loulan will never be returned until it is broken¡±.  As far as the rules of war are concerned, the biggest rule of Eastern war is that there are no rules. After reading the cunning and changeable history of Eastern war, you will feel that Western war is protracted and boring.  Since there are no rules, no matter which side of the war is defeated, there will be no protective umbrella worth relying on.  In the history of war in the East, there are countless examples of killing, surrendering, and massacre of prisoners. From the Qin general Bai Qi during the Warring States Period in China who killed 400,000 surrendered soldiers in more than 2,000 years, to the Anti¡ª¡ªWar-  ¡ª¡ªAt that time¡ª¡ªthat day¡ª¡ªthe army¡ª¡ªslaughtered¡ª¡ªobtained more than 300,000 wronged souls from Jinling City.  Although killing and surrendering is morally untenable, its roots are deeply rooted in history and cannot be pulled out.  Since there are so many people who love to kill, fight, and capture prisoners, do the Easterners still think that surrender is an easy matter?  It's better to fight to the death and defeat the enemy. There may be a chance for a comeback. Even if the comeback cannot be achieved, it would be worthy of the ancestors to leave a name in history.  When it comes to the East, it is necessary to single out a country. This is Japan. The Japanese army was famous for preferring death to surrender during the Second World War.  Yes, but I think the reason why they did not surrender is not only the above-mentioned "loyalty to the emperor" thought and the thorough understanding of the laws of war.  There is another special reason to be found in themselves. The bloodthirsty and indiscriminate killing of innocent people by the Second World War Army was blamed by everyone.  They themselves are very aware of this, so they are afraid that the enemy will use the same method to deal with them after surrender, which can be regarded as a guilty conscience.  With a few words of deceptive propaganda, more and more Japanese will stab themselves in the belly.  It is precisely because of the differences between Eastern and Western cultures in how they treat surrender and capture that there have been many disputes in war history that should not have existed.  The Allied forces were defeated in the early stages of the Pacific War, and tens of thousands of defeated troops surrendered to Japan. If you don't dare to draw the sword, then  It¡¯s called a shame!¡± There is a plot in the TV series ¡°Bright Sword¡± that has been broadcast on CCTV and major provincial stations for several years: During the attack on Ping¡¯an County,  During the battle of Jiangcheng, Li Yunlong gave an order to a small team blocking enemy reinforcements to hold their position for eight hours.  Under the powerful firepower of the enemy, the team ran out of ammunition and only five people were left. The brutality of the battle was indescribable. In the end, these five people used the only box left to die together with the Japanese army.  This is the attitude of our squadron: as long as there is a breath left, the battle will not stop. We would rather fight to the death of the last person than give up the land under our feet.  Or "I swear! I will keep my mission and responsibility in mind! Be brave and tenacious and never back down! I would rather die than be a prisoner. Leave the last bullet to me!" Or the general in "Soldier Assault"  It is considered a great shame and humiliation to raise one's hands and surrender. I think this is the typical war philosophy of Eastern people.  In ancient China, people praised Wen Tianxiang, who "has never died since ancient times. His loyalty will be remembered in history", Su Wu, who "stayed with the Xiongnu for nineteen years and remained unyielding", etc.  We have praised these heroes for thousands of years for their spirit of never losing their will in the face of money, death, vanity and exile, and never surrendering or changing their master.  Of course, there are also those heroes who were captured by the enemy but still loyal to their old masters.  Like Guan Yunchang, who "journeys thousands of miles alone", and Xu Shu, who "lives in Cao's camp and his heart is in Han".     in China.  If a person surrenders, no matter how desperate the situation is.  Or the straw on the wall will fall with the wind. Once you take the step of "surrender", you will definitely be despised by the world, like Li Ling who surrendered to the Huns (poor Sima Qian), Wu Sangui who "turned his crown into a beauty in anger", and betrayed Yuan  Tou Cao wanted to set fire to Wuchao's Xu You.  Lu Bu, a domestic servant with the third surname, betrayed his master too many times, so Cao Cao, a man who was known to cherish talents, killed him.  It seems that in China, surrender is really a very disgraceful thing, and after surrendering, the surrenderer will not only be ordered to be hunted down by the old master as the "number one traitor", but he will also be treated poorly by the new master.  No matter where you go, you will be suspected and ostracized, and you will eventually end up with your head and body missing.  The Chinese people attach great importance to loyalty, filial piety and justice. Surrender means abandoning the old master. It is unfaithful, unfilial and unjust. Which new master would entrust such an unscrupulous person with such a heavy responsibility?  Therefore, China's moral code often teaches people that surrender is a very shameful thing, and one wrong step may bring disaster to the entire clan and be executed.  "It is better to die standing than to live on your knees. This is a matter of integrity and must not be careless."  Differences in historical, religious and cultural connotations between the East and the West have resulted in people¡¯s different attitudes towards war surrender and capture. I cannot comment on which is better or worse, because different positions and roles will produce completely opposite attitudes.  Different civilizations nourish different moral positions and judgment standards. There are no two identical leaves in the world. People in different cultural environments do not need to blame each other. Harmonious coexistence is good, and existence is reasonable.
