At night in Tokyo, when Junichi Watanabe was lying beside the desk under the dim light of his desk lamp, writing the epilogue with complicated emotions, far away on the other side of the Pacific Ocean, on the California coast full of sunshine in the early morning, Miguel from the New York Times  I had just come out of Larry Page's villa. He was sitting in the car, looking across the outline of the mountains gradually lowering behind the villa, looking at the line of blue where the sea and the sky meet in the distance, frowning and thinking.

Miguel is a senior journalist who has been working in the IT industry for many years. Although he works for the New York Times, other newspapers and magazines often ask him for articles or reprint them. Now, he has just finished his interview with Larry  Page's interview - to be precise, Miguel was invited by Larry Page to interview him and write an article.

The focus of the article is mainly on recent industry developments. Of course, Miguel is very clear that the only recent developments in the industry that can concern Larry Page are the "Developer Plan" that Facebook has publicly named, f8  General Assembly!

    This is a PR move.

Thinking of the vague hints he received from the public relations company and the meaning revealed in Larry Page¡¯s words when he just interviewed him, Miguel smiled bitterly, but was helpless.  To put it bluntly, similar public relations actions are nothing more than asking gunmen to publish articles in newspapers and portals to discredit the target. It has long been a common tactic among many companies in Silicon Valley. Even really big names sometimes cannot refuse to take on such a job.

The ecology of Silicon Valley has never been an ivory tower with abundant products, peace and warmth, but is hidden under the light.  A dark jungle with barren land and starvation.

If you want to survive here, sometimes you have to temporarily put aside your conscience.

After thinking for a while in a depressed mood, Miguel took a deep breath, shook his head, abandoned those chaotic thoughts, turned on the recorder, listened to the recorded interview with Larry Page, and sometimes fast-forwarded:

"I have always firmly believed that search services should run through the entire evolution of the Internet. This precise service model cannot be replaced for a long time. It has been the entrance to the Internet in the past few years, and it will still be in the future.  It will be the most important entrance service"

It¡¯s still a clich¨¦ and nothing new at all.  But listening to Larry Page¡¯s straightforward tone.  But Miguel couldn't think of any rebuttal.  Because of the word "accuracy" in the other party's words, Google has been pushed from an unknown start-up company to its current peak.  In the past few years, anyone who tried to refute or question it was crushed by Google's dramatic expansion.

    As for the future

In the future, could it be subverted?

Miguel was not sure, but a young Asian face flashed in his mind - Korean Ann.

From being a stranger when he took over Facebook OK, to now, the Korean CEO who has not given up his star status in the country on the other side of the ocean has already proven his acting and speaking talents in front of the cameras, and thus,  And the extended personality charm.

Now, he has many followers in North America!

As a member of the Internet industry and a front-line reporter on Internet trends, Miguel not only listened to Ahn Junhyuk¡¯s speech at close range, but even interviewed him.

Compared with the low-key and conservative image of "traditional" Internet company executives, Ahn Junhyuk often behaves "aggressively". He likes to promote his ideas, his ideas, and his Internet values ????in public, just like his star  Just like "Old Business", under the spotlight, applause and noise, people who can accept his ideas will fall madly in love with him and then follow in his footsteps.

Under the leadership of such a charismatic CEO, is Facebook¡¯s ¡°openness¡± qualified to question or even replace Google¡¯s ¡°accuracy¡±?

Listening to Larry Page¡¯s words from the recorder, and thinking about his past knowledge of An Junhe, Miguel suddenly discovered that the two people were very similar.

It¡¯s not appearance or character, but state of mind.

No matter Larry Page or Ahn Junhyuk, while they are themselves, they are also building a "thought world" of their own.  Larry Page¡¯s world is all about ¡°accuracy¡±. He believes that the Internet should start with search. Users like the accurate life provided by search. They send their questions to Google, and then get accurate answer feedback from Google - news,  Shopping and traveling!

¡°But Ahn Junhyuk¡¯s world is completely opposite. It is vague and not unified. The main body of this world is social interaction, and the feedback of information is completed by the network of relationships.

If this is the case, Ahn Joon Hyuk¡¯s world will be at a disadvantage in every aspect facing Larry Page¡¯s world. However, once the face wave OK is completed and opened

Ahn Junhyuk once painted a similar picture when he released jmap in macworld2007It is an ecosystem based on openness and sharing that does not require search results, but creates an ecosystem for watching news, shopping, and entertainment through a network of relationships.

In the past time, Larry Page¡¯s world has been dominating the Internet. All people¡¯s online activities are completed directly or indirectly through search, so it has become the entrance to the Internet and creates tens of billions of sales for Google every year.  But now, when Ahn Joon Hyuk instructs Facebook to shout out the opening slogan, can this entrance still maintain its monopoly?

If Ahn Junhyuk's world is really like what he once described, people view the world through friends' sharing, and choose brands, food, and entertainment through friends' marks There will be a more harmonious network of relationships, while opening up the links.  , deeply integrated into the Internet, is the split of the portal imminent?

¡ª¡ªAt least, if Facebook really opens up their user data and helps many companies complete the most difficult phase of accumulating users, Facebook itself will also gain a power that can compete with Google¡¯s ¡°accurate¡± attributes:

    Word of mouth!

Like a virus, word of mouth quickly spreads with the relationship map!

By then, the Internet portal will be split into two parts: representing the "precise" delivery of technology.  People-centered viral marketing.

Both have their own merits.  As for which world the Internet will lean towards in the future, Miguel has no answer.

He looked at the recorder in his hand that had almost finished advancing, was stunned for a moment, and smiled bitterly.

Why do you want to go so far away?

Facebook OK may overthrow Google, or it may be submerged by Google. The battle between Larry Page¡¯s technological evolution and Ahn Junhyuk¡¯s people-oriented transformation may also be protracted and inextricable, but at present, Larry Page has realized that Ahn Junhyuk  threats.  Facebook OK must first face the pressure that Google has begun to prepare!

Worse.  I'm afraid Microsoft is not willing to be left alone

    ¡¡

    ¡¡

"The situation you are facing recently is not very optimistic!"

The port in Tokyo at night is not as leisurely as the sun sets on the horizon, with the whistles of ships and the roar of machinery.  The noise of life.  It still continues to cross the sky that is blurred by light pollution.  Passing through the park barrier, it fell into the ears of Ahn Junhyuk and Hirai Kazuo, who was pacing leisurely.

After taking photos in the evening, Ahn Junhyuk rushed to Tokyo.  I had a Japanese-style dinner with Kazuo Hirai, who had just finished a meeting, at a restaurant with a century-old history in Ginza.

Although there is a saying in Japanese political circles that "ryotei politics, Kasumigaseki diplomacy" (meaning that politics is discussed at the dinner table of a top-notch restaurant called ryotei, while diplomacy is settled at Kasumigaseki in Chiyoda Ward), in modern times, ryotei is mostly used as an old-fashioned liaison  It is used in an emotional way. As a traditional Japanese, Hirai Kazuo obviously has a similar nostalgia complex.

After dinner, Hirai Kazuo did not ask the driver to take An Junhyuk back, but took him to the park where he had been since he was a child.

The moon was as cold as water, and the sound of the sea breeze blowing across the busy neighborhood was subtle and peaceful. The two of them walked slowly on the soft grass. Hearing Kazuo Hirai's words, An Junhe smiled in the shadow of the dancing trees.

"How can there be smooth sailing in this world? We must always unite some and fight against others."

The two of them are not in a superior-subordinate relationship, so there is no need to avoid such words. After hearing the words, Hirai Kazuo chewed on the meaning of the words and immediately sighed.

The more he gets along with Ahn Junhyuk, the stronger his desire to take him as his assistant becomes stronger. What he and Sony lack most now are pioneering talents who are not afraid of resistance. Unfortunately, he has never been able to bring enough bargaining chips.

Sighing secretly, Kazuo Hirai did not reveal any more regrets and just asked: "Are you confident?"

An Junhe shook his head: "No one dares to say that they are confident when facing Google and Microsoft. What's more, the situation is more complicated. Google is a drunkard who is not interested in drinking, while Microsoft is just a stick" Vulgar metaphor  Attracting Kazuo Hirai's sideways glance, An Junhe smiled: "Anyway, let's see how the situation develops."

"You, you look so calm, you don't seem to be resigned to fate." He smiled and nodded at him. Since he didn't say much, Hirai Kazuo didn't ask any more questions.

This middle-aged Sony executive, who has climbed to a high position, looked around the quiet park. Even in the bustling Tokyo, the most populous city in the world, there are forgotten corners.

The park has existed for a long time. With the development of the surrounding area, this remote and cramped place with lack of entertainment has finally lagged behind the times. In his impression, the memories of people walking in the park under every tree are still as if it was yesterday. What his eyes can see is,  But it is already desolate.?

The vicissitudes of life are so sharply opposed to each other, and all the melancholy is pinned on it, full of helplessness that cannot be dismissed.

It¡¯s not that I can¡¯t keep up with the times, it¡¯s just that the times are changing too fast!

The park is like this, Sony is like this, and Hirai Kazuo realizes that he is also like this.

He stopped talking, and An Junhe quietly walked slowly with him.

Since the rebirth of memory, most of the people I have met have the same characteristics. Their memories are still remembering the past, but their steps have been forced to move towards the future. The future is nothing more than a gamble. Under fate, who is not  What if you can¡¯t help yourself?

?? Google is a drunkard who cares more about drinking. Isn¡¯t it the same with Kazuo Hirai?  Taking a walk means that the other person is hesitant, and today's dinner is not just for connecting feelings.

"Mr. Stringer would like to meet you."

At a certain moment, Hirai Kazuo turned around and looked at An Junhe, who was shrouded in darkness under the shade of the tree.  (To be continued)
