    8. Obstacles

    45. Every crime causes more damage to the perpetrator than to the victim.

    46. ??Don¡¯t look down upon small evils and think that I will not receive retribution.  The water bottle is filled with small drops of water.  Foolish people continue to do small bad things. As time goes by, the whole person becomes full of evil.

    47. There are five obstacles to bright perception: greed, hatred, sleep and drowsiness, restlessness and worry, and doubt.

    &nb~~~msp;48. When the sinful behavior has not yet matured (has not yet produced results), stupid people regard the sinful behavior as sweet.  But when his behavior matures, he has sadness.

    49. People who have no faith, are disloyal, love to lie, and do not consider the afterlife will be likely to do all kinds of evil things.

    50. Before the evil deed is immature, the person who does the evil always thinks that he has done a perfect job, but when the evil deed matures, the person who does the evil will taste the bad consequences.

    51. Killing, stealing, lying, and sexual immorality, smart people will never appreciate these four evil things.

    52. Lying is the root of sin. It causes a person to live in a bad state and have a bad taste in his mouth. His words are not liked by others and are despised by others.

    53. All living beings long for peace and happiness.  Those who kill sentient beings with the rod in order to seek their own happiness will have no peace in the future.

    54. Unchastity is the dirt of a woman, stinginess is the dirt of charity.  All bad words, deeds and thoughts become dirt in this life and the hereafter.

    55. Greed, hatred and ignorance are the three major psychological dirts.  Killing, stealing, and sexual immorality are the three major defilements of the body.  Sowing discord (spreading trouble), using foul language, lying, and sweet words are the four major stains in language.

    56. When a person does evil, his mind is stained.  When a person does not do evil, his heart is pure.  The purity and dirt are entirely your own, and no one else can help.

    9. Sorrow

    57. People who are obsessed with themselves will have their minds disturbed.  People who only think about themselves will bring sorrow to themselves.

    58. People who are not greedy for anything will have no suffering.  So I say, there is no sorrow in this state.  Nothing drastic and nothing disappointing.

    59. If you are greedy for a hundred things, you will have a hundred sufferings; if you are greedy for ninety, ten, or five things, if you are greedy for two things, you will be ninety, ten, or five.  Two worries.

    60. The world is constantly changing, and nothing remains unchanged forever.

    Sixty-one, everything must come and go.

    62. Birth, old age, illness, death, sadness and disappointment, being with people you don¡¯t like, and never being satisfied, these attributes of existence are all suffering!

    63. Aging and death drive away the life of all living beings, just like a shepherd driving his cattle to the pasture with a stick in his hand.

    64. Change and impermanence are characteristics of life.

    65. Impermanence is a kind of (very subtle) suffering.  Anything that is not eternal will eventually deteriorate, change, and disappear.  So only those with keen senses can detect its imperfections.

    Sixty-six, even when a person has happiness.  This happiness still cannot last forever.

    67. ¡®Everything that is conditional is impermanent.  ¡¯ When a person observes this truth with wisdom, he will begin to be disgusted with all kinds of suffering. This is the way to achieve purity.

    68. If you can truly understand the truth of suffering, you will be able to know the source of suffering, the state without suffering and the way to eliminate suffering.

    10. Treat others

    Sixty-nine, treat others with enthusiasm.  Be polite, and as long as you are filled with joy every day, your worries will disappear without a trace.

    70. Emotions are produced by past fate and present love, just like lotus flowers are bred from water and soil.

    Seventy-one, in order to pursue happiness.  If you build your happiness on the pain of others, you will be troubled by resentment and cannot get rid of it.

    72. Treat everyone equally.  Regardless of whether they are rich or poor or high or low.

    73. Visiting patients should make them full of hope and happiness.

    74. People love people who are loyal to the truth, have a good attitude, keep their word, and are responsible for their positions.

    75. A husband should treat his wife in the following five ways: First, praise the other person¡¯s strengths.  Second, never underestimate each other.  Third, be loyal to her.  Fourth, grant authority to handle housework.  Fifth, always give her exquisite clothes.

    76. A wife should treat her husband in the following five ways: First, handle the housework in an orderly manner.  Second, help the husband¡¯s relatives??.  Third, be loyal to your husband.  Fourth, manage and save your husband¡¯s salary wisely.  Fifth, be diligent but not lazy.

    77. There are four principles for serving the society: giving generously; speaking considerately; cooperating with each other; and behaving seasonally and courteously.  These four principles are like the axles of a car that make the wheels turn.

    78. People who serve the society are easy to get along with others, willing to help others and understand their needs, and teach others generously and patiently.  Such kind people will definitely be rewarded well in the future.

    79. You must be patient, loving, and eager to serve.

    11. Mood

    80. When a person speaks and behaves with good intentions, happiness will follow him like a shadow.

    81. All realms are guided by the heart.  The heart is the master, and all realms are created by the heart.  If a man speaks and acts with a unclean heart, trouble will immediately follow him, like a chariot wheel following the hoofs of an ox.

    82. How happy it is to be in contact with worldly things, without being tempted, without sorrow, without flaws, and with a peaceful mind!

    83. Wise people always clear away the dirt in their hearts, just like a craftsman cleaning out impurities in silver mines.

    84. Prevent the anger of the mind, control the wandering mind, abandon evil thoughts, and sincerely carry out the right path.

    85. Disciples of Gautama (Sakyamuni's surname): You must wake up well and always think of the perfect saint, the Buddha, no matter day or night.

    12. Do good deeds

    86. Do good deeds in time to avoid bad thoughts in your mind again.  Anyone who procrastinates doing good things will not be easily isolated from evil things in his heart.

    87. Death is inevitable in life, so you should do more good deeds while you are still alive, just like making many wreaths from a bunch of flowers.

    88. Don¡¯t underestimate small kindness and think that I will not receive retribution.  Small drops of water kept falling.  In the end, the whole bottle can be filled, so a wise person gradually accumulates small good deeds, causing his whole person to be filled with merit.

    89. Be tolerant among the impatient, gentle among the violent, and generous among the greedy.

    90. Do not do any bad deeds, cultivate all good deeds, and purify your mind. This is the teaching of the Buddha.

    13. Implementation

    91. Saying good words without putting them into practice is fruitless. It is like a beautiful flower that has color but no fragrance.

    92. Although there are not many sacred scriptures.  However, those who follow the teachings, abandon greed, hatred and ignorance, have correct wisdom, have no worries in their hearts, and are not greedy for this life and the next life, are practitioners who enlighten their minds.

    93. When teaching others, you should first lead by example.  Only after you have restrained yourself can you restrain others.  It¡¯s really hard to restrain yourself!

    94. Do not speak harsh words, do not harm all living beings, practice the precepts according to the Buddha's admonitions, and eat in moderation.  Living in a peaceful place, devoted to noble awareness, this is the teaching of the Buddha.

    95. It is of no benefit to a stupid person to gain knowledge and fame, and it not only damages his happiness.  And it will make him headstrong.

    Ninety-six. It is better to read and recite a thousand useless words than to hear only one useful word that brings peace to people.

    97. Flowers with bright colors and beautiful colors but no fragrance will not bring much happiness to the people you wear them; if you hear good words but do not practice them,  It doesn't do much good either.

    14. Save it

    98. You should not find fault with others or criticize others for what they have done or not done.  You should always reflect on your mistakes and consider what you have done and what you have not done.

    Ninety-nine, a wise man reviews his own words and deeds every day.

    100. Conquer a million-strong army on the battlefield.  It is far better to defeat yourself.  He who conquers himself is the greatest conqueror.

    102. It is easy to discover the faults of others, but it is difficult to detect your own faults.  It is as easy to spread the fault of others as to throw away the rice husk.  But hiding one's shortcomings is as cunning as a gambler hiding his dice.

    103. Know your own weaknesses and strive to improve them.

    104. If a person changes his past and starts doing good deeds, it is like the bright moon that is not covered by dark clouds and can illuminate the earth.

    105. You should have the courage to admit your mistakes to others!

    106. Repentance includes reform!

    15. Words and deeds

    ? 107. One's own actions lead to bad results, just like when iron rusts, it will be corroded by rust.

    108. Behavior makes the difference between lowly and noble beings.  Translation Note??The so-called "behavior" here includes three types: thoughts, words, and body movements.

    109. Good behavior can help people be born into a better realm in the future, and bring them closer to freedom and liberation.

    110. Those who have good moral character and superb knowledge, live according to the teachings revealed by the perfect saint, understand the truth, and are conscientious and responsible will always be loved by everyone.

    111. I not only teach external behaviors, but also pay more attention to inner thoughts and thoughts. I not only teach my disciples not to behave bad physically, not to think or talk about bad and unhealthy things, but I also teach them to behave.  Act well, think and speak sound things.

    112. When a person speaks, he should avoid criticizing others with harsh words.

    113. If you speak in a measured manner, speak tactfully, and speak with reason, then what you say will be beautiful and pleasant.

    114. Don¡¯t speak ill of others behind their backs.

    16. Study

    115. People who do not learn are like old cows. Although they have a lot of meat, they have no wisdom.

    116. Always get close to wise people, wise people, knowledgeable people, loyal and enthusiastic people, responsible people, saints - always associate with these people who have both wisdom and virtue.

    117. Being greedy for sleep, loving to chat, not interested in what you are learning, being lazy in doing things, being impatient and impatient are the major factors leading to degeneration.

    118. If you don¡¯t study hard in time, you will be lazy when you are young and strong. You will have no goals and thoughts in life. A lazy person will never discover the path to wisdom.

    17. Education

    119. Teachers should study students¡¯ psychological tendencies before explaining.

    120. Education should match the ability of the recipients and the appropriate timing!

    121. One should use sincere and compassionate words.

    122. A good teacher should speak to the point and avoid talking about irrelevant things.

    123. Of all gifts, the transmission of truth is the most precious.  Of all flavors, truth tastes best.  Of all joys, the joy of truth is the greatest.  By eradicating greed, you can conquer all suffering.  (To be continued)
