    (1)

It is already the fourth day since we left the town of Silence.  We took a day off in the town of Silence because everyone was somewhat injured.  I really hope Black Dragon beats that guy Stanton into an idiot, so that guy won't come to supervise my riding early in the morning.

"Dipor, why are you up so late? A knight will never stay in bed." Stanton stood next to "Vekia Sunshine" with his head of black curly hair and his hands on his hips, shouting loudly  admonishing.

I scratched my head and climbed onto the horse¡¯s back obediently.

"Bitril, let's go! Wow, ho ho!" Stanton shook his head coolly and strode out of the yard.

Whenever I practice riding a horse, Bitril will silently push up the cart filled with equipment and items. Those items are much heavier than what I bear every day.

"Stanton, why did you let Bitril push such heavy things? Are those things meant for a man like you to push?" I said with some disgust.

"You know, DiBoer. I am the only knight instructor here! If Bitril were the one, I would push the cart." Stanton still shouted loudly.

This damn guy!  I turned to look at the little woman pushing the cart behind me.  That figure¡ª¡ªhow much she looks like Xiu Ting!

"Damn it!" I was angry.  "If you don't push, I'll push. It's just for strength training anyway."

"Master Diboer, it's me. My brother is right, you should concentrate on training, and he should concentrate on teaching you. And I should be doing this. After all, it is you who will defend our country and charge into battle in the future."

¡°Bitril smiled at me and continued to push her car.

I wanted to say something more, but when I saw Bitril¡¯s smile, I couldn¡¯t say anything.  Bitril was wearing skinny short breeches and a linen shirt over a coarse shirt today. The little freckles on her playful nose looked particularly cute.  I gradually became obsessed with watching, and suddenly, the feeling of Xiu Ting emerged in my heart: "Xiu Ting, where are you?"

    (2)

I walked and practiced like this for another 7 or 8 days. I originally wanted to ask how far I still have to Beatrille?  But I still held back.  If you ask, won't you leave?  Are you tired?  Probably no one was as tired as she was.  Forget it, go ahead.

In the evening of the 9th day, we entered the "White Horse County" boundary. Stanton said that after arriving at the "Wind City" in "White Horse County", we would reach Hathaway City after 15 sunsets.  Oh my god, there¡¯s still half a month left!

On the 10th day we arrived at Gale City.  This is a small city, with stone walls protecting hundreds of homes, and the innermost part is the city lord's castle.  The city lord is a middle-level nobleman from the Holy Malaga Empire. He is a baron, a middle-aged man in his 50s, named: Cheerful Richard, and he looks very kind.

As a fake noble, when entering a city, you must meet the master with knightly etiquette.  I didn't dare to go there at first, but my dress was too conspicuous in this strange place. If I didn't go to see the city lord, I would probably be arrested as an enemy spy.  Bitril told me that this was just a private visit, no one would ask me to show my identity, and I was not fake.  (God knows! I don¡¯t believe it myself)

So I mustered up the courage and stepped into the castle of the city lord with Stanton as my "squire" and a famous post that I asked someone to write for me.

"Honorable Lord Cheerful Richard, knight from the East: DuBoer salutes you." After saying that, I made a knightly salute, and Stanton knelt down.

"Oh, you mean you are a knight from the East? So you are from the Kingdom of Nokan?" asked cheerful Richard.

"I'm afraid your Excellency may have misunderstood. I came to a place further east than Jokan, which is called Asia." I answered respectfully.

Cheerful Richard was surprised, but soon returned to normal.

"Knight, although I have never heard of the country "Asia". But I can imagine that it is a great country, because the knight of this country - you, Mr. DuBoer, are humble and polite. Please sit next to me and give me  Tell me about your country, I¡¯m very curious.¡±

I walked over to cheerful Richard, sat down in his designated seat, and then told him about what I called "Asia."

I roughly talked about the geography and customs of "Asia", but Cheerful Richard was particularly interested in the religious beliefs I mentioned.  He thinks what I call freedom of belief is terrible, and that the resulting religious wars will cause many people to suffer.  I agree with his statement, and I say that the current situation in "Asia" was indeed established through religious wars.  I detailed for him the entry of missionaries and the conflict with traditional Buddhism and Taoism, and also cited some examples.  Cheerful Richard listened with great interest. During this period, he also served me a traditional banquet and delicious Portuguese food.??Wine.  Stanton smacked his lips below, so I asked for a bottle to be given to him too.

In the end, Cheerful Richard was glad that there was only one religion in his country - that is: "Lighting Temple".  This avoids many disputes and wars.  He happily arranged a place for me and invited me to watch the church judgment that will be held tomorrow.  I politely agreed.

Back to the residence arranged by Cheerful Richard, Stanton, Beatle and I drank a lot of wine happily, and Stanton was even more drunk.

    "Master DuBoer! Master DuBoer!"

A knock on the door woke me up from a deep sleep early in the morning.  I opened the door, and it turned out to be Mr. Cheerful Charles's attendant.

"My lord, the church trial is about to begin. Lord Cheerful Richard invites you to go to the church. He will wait for you there." The attendant stood respectfully by the door.

I quickly tidied up and followed the attendant out the door without even bothering to wake up Stanton and Beatle.

The church of the Temple of Light is located in the center of Gale City. It is already crowded before noon. It seems that today's trial is no small matter.

From afar, cheerful Richard came up to me. I greeted him and walked into the church together.

¡°Cheerful Richard and I sat on either side of the inquisitor, and of course the inquisitor was the local bishop: Lord Joe-John.

"Bring the heretics up!" Sir John waved his fat hand, and two apprentice knights escorted a man wearing a ragged black hood from the crowd.

I find it very strange. Although he is wearing a black robe, I can see that the prisoner is too short, probably about the size of a child of a few years old.

"Quiet!" Sir John raised his hand in a dignified manner.

"Sinful heretic, please say your name." Damn, this was pronounced "sinful" even before the trial.

The man in black robe slowly straightened his shoulders, as if trying to look taller.

"I, the great and proud wizard: Montetier. I am standing here now, but I am not guilty, and you" The man in black robe looked around: "I have no qualifications to judge the great wizard!"

The voice of the man in black robe seemed very childish, like my 5-year-old nephew, but it made me feel surprisingly familiar. Could it be him?

"Presumptuous!" Sir John reprimanded loudly, and then called out the person who made the accusation and began to accuse the wizard named Montetier.

What happened was that this guy named Billy¡¯s wife was sick, and he spent all his money to find someone to treat her, but it didn¡¯t work.  Suddenly one day Montetier appeared. He promised Billy that he could cure his wife's disease, but he must keep his identity secret.  Then of course Billy agreed, and then Monte Carlo healed his wife.

Originally, the matter was over and Montetier was ready to leave, but Billy's kind-hearted wife felt that she should reward the kind-hearted Montetier, so she asked Billy to sell the family's only cattle and give it to Montetier in money.  .  But Billy felt that Monteil didn't want to be paid in the first place, and he also helped him keep the wizard's secret.  You must know that throughout the continent, wizards are opposed to the Holy See. The Holy See is white, and wizards are absolutely black.  If the Holy See knew that there was a wizard in their place, Montetier would probably be torn into pieces.  So he didn't want to pay Montetier anymore.  His wife didn't know that Monteil was a wizard, so she sold the cow behind Billy's back and gave the money to Monteil.  When Monteil was refusing, Billy, who found that he had lost his cow, rushed out and shouted that Monteil was a wizard, so Monteil was caught by the believers of the Temple of Light.

Once the matter is clear, it¡¯s time to make a verdict.  I'm curious what Lord John would do?  I looked over at Cheerful Charlie and saw that he was dozing off.

"Cruel Montetier, this bishop sentenced you to be burned at the stake according to law! It will be executed at dawn tomorrow." Bishop John knocked the gavel resolutely and announced his withdrawal from the court.

Dizzy, a good man was sentenced to death for no reason, I almost lost my temper.

"Wait a minute!" I shouted loudly, even the cheerful Charlie woke up from his nap.

Bishop John turned around impatiently and looked at me in surprise.  Everyone in the church, including the man in black robe, looked straight at me.

"Excuse me, Lord Bishop? How did this good man who was originally saving people become a sinner and was directly sentenced to death?"

"What?!" Bishop John became angry. Someone dared to challenge his authority.

"I really don't want to answer you, but since you are a distinguished guest of the city lord and a noble knight, then let me tell you¡ª¡ªhe is a wizard! An evil wizard! Humph!" After saying that, the bishop walked away.

Why?  What's the point?  Suddenly I understood, it was like the dark middle ages.In Europe, anyone who deviates from Catholicism is a heretic who deserves to be killed.

I must find a way to rescue this man named Montetier!  I secretly made up my mind.

The trial was over, and I politely declined the invitation of cheerful Richard and returned to my residence alone.  I told the Wikia brothers and sisters everything that happened. I also said that I found that the voice of the man in black robe was particularly similar to the chanting voice when we fought the black dragon.  Really, very similar, I absolutely trust my ears.

We discussed it for a while and decided to go to the cell where Monteil was being held to see if he was the mysterious man who helped us that day. If he was, we would risk our lives to save him.  If not, then just do your best.

In the evening, I went to see Richard and asked him to let me see Montetier.  He reluctantly agreed after I promised that I could stay an extra day and tell him as much as I could about "Asia."

At night, my brother and sister Vecchia and I came to the cell.

"Dipole, are you sure it's that person?" Stanton kept asking me excitedly.  He felt that this was a good opportunity for him to repay his kindness. What a great story a knight broke into a prison cell to save his savior.

I didn¡¯t know how to answer him, and I was thinking about how to rescue people and escape smoothly.  Bitril was silent on the side, but it was obvious that she was also worried.

Arriving at the door of the cell where Monteil was being held, Bitril took out a few copper coins and gave them to the guard. The guard opened the cell door while thanking him.  I took the lead and walked in.

"Friend, are you there? I am Diboer, and these are my two friends." I looked around the dark surroundings, trying to find Montetier.

"Please call me Lord Wizard!" A black figure came out of the darkness.
