The worst real-life escape room game ever!

It was almost nine o'clock in the evening when the three of them walked into the game store called "Maze Room". This store has four mazes, all of which are limited to one hour to escape through search, reasoning, arithmetic, etc. Lily has already made a reservation  Well, one of the detectives escaped from the old house.

Marcos, the staff member who received them, was surprised to recognize Ye Wei as soon as they met each other. The little girl who came with him was obviously his sister. As an adult, Ye Wei could bring children into the store, and this girl with thick eyebrows  ¡

Before Marcos could respond, the girl asked him to call the boss over in a gentle but dignified manner. After some negotiation, she moved out the customer's privacy rights and other issues, and warned that if any information about the game store was exposed to the media, they would be punished.  Pursue legal responsibility.  Everyone was frightened, and the boss kept saying that he would never do it.

Ye Wei's brother and sister looked around idlely, not participating in the whole process. Marcos really didn't know whether this girl was Ye Wei's female companion or assistant.

After solving all the hidden dangers, the three of them soon came to the maze of the ancient house to start the game, and they were all very excited.

Ye Wei wanted to break the 42-minute record for the fastest escape by a customer, and immediately searched for the most conspicuous classical desk in the room. Lily followed beside him, as if they were Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler.  But there's "Watson", Duoduo is jumping around, "Brother, Lily, what is this? I found a key!"

The two of them looked at it excitedly. Duoduo picked up a copper key on the ground in the corner and was holding it up to check.

"Give it to me." Ye Wei walked over to take it. It was obvious that this was the key to unlock some kind of lock.

"No! I found it." Duoduo ran away.  Ye Wei wanted to rob him, but Lily stopped him and coaxed in a childish voice: "Duoduo, this is a team game, we are a team! Cooperation is the best." Duoduo was still hesitating, and Ye Wei was heartbroken that time was wasted:  "Give it to me quickly!"

Duoduo, who was about to hand over the key, immediately grabbed it in her hand and said, "If you don't give it, I won't give it!"

Ye Wei immediately had an idea, "We will exchange a candy for your key." He looked at Lily, and she nodded and smiled: "There are more." She reached into her pocket, but could only take out a few empty candy wrappers.  I couldn't help but look at him blankly.  Ye Weiyi knew what was going on when he saw Duoduo snickering, and rolled up his sleeves to take action!

"Wait a minute, Dorothy, go and try to open those boxes, maybe there's candy in them." Lily continued to coax, but Ye Wei didn't have the patience: "You little rascal, you want to die trapped here, don't you? I  I can help you." Duoduo said without fear: "Brother, you don't have to scare me, this is just a game."

"This is not a game, this is life or death!" Ye Weizhen was going crazy. He spent 5 minutes arguing, and this was just the beginning.

Lily glared at him and whispered softly: "Don't you ever have the time to act like a spoiled brat?" She was hugged and kissed by him as if he was suddenly attacking her, "That's it now." She rolled her eyes and rolled her eyes at him, with a cute smile on her lips, and turned to ask  Break away.  Ye Wei hugged her tightly and continued to kiss her, "We can't escape today, let's do something else."

"Oh, you guys kiss!" Duoduo exclaimed when she saw this.

"Go aside." Lily pushed Ye Wei away hard, and went to negotiate with Duoduo with a smile, team spirit!

Duoduo was not just playing. After listening to the words, she went to open the desk drawers in person and tried opening them one by one. However, her hands and feet were very slow. When she finally succeeded in opening a drawer of the utility cabinet against the wall, it took her all time.  It's been 10 minutes.

When an hour passed, not to mention breaking the record, the three of them were still trapped in the study room where they started.

Marcos and others were dumbfounded. Since the store opened, no customer has stopped in the study room. It takes an average of 25 minutes to get out. What a genius viy is!  The boss was very surprised by this. Is it too difficult?  It is neither too easy nor too difficult to open a business.  The boss sincerely asked the three people for their opinions, and Duoduo made a representative statement: "You can't find candies anywhere, it's not fun to play."

Ye Wei walked out of the game store with his face covered. If this spread, his public image would be shattered.

The happiest person was Lily. After returning to the car, she laughed unbearably until she died.

It¡¯s past ten o¡¯clock in the evening, and it¡¯s time to start home.  More than half an hour later, Ye Wei first sent the troublesome Duoduo home, vowing not to take her to play a real-life escape room again; then he sent Lily home, and seeing that there was still some time left, he parked the car on the side of the street and spent time with her.

Without the light bulb, the sweetness could not be suppressed. The two expressed their lovesickness and love to each other in a long passionate kiss. They kissed again and again, smiling at each other.

After a while, they gradually talked about "Soul Surfer" again, and Lily became more aware that Ye Wei was really confused and had not yet solved the knot.  She wanted to help him, but this time, she couldn't really understand why he was distressed, and she didn't know what to say, because SS was so great.

She can only give? His own sincere opinion: "Yi, in my opinion, this movie is very good, very good! I won't lie to you, I don't like what happened behind the scenes at all. I don't want to hear about it. I don't like it at all."  ! But it touched me, Bethenny came back to life, I cried, Edward Scissorhands can make me cry, you can do that too."

"My problem is that it can't make me cry." Ye Wei sighed with a smile, leaning his head against the driver's seat, "I don't know, I still have to think about it."

Lily held his hand and said, "Tell me when you think about it. Tell me everything you have."

Ye Wei nodded, his hands and heart feeling warm.

    ¡¡

As soon as the screening ended, Gia pressed the remote control like an obsession and played back the colorful clips over and over again, marveling at them again and again.  Jennifer and Erica were also watching with emotion, thinking that "Winter's Bone" would be as good or even better

The three of them went to the hotel restaurant for dinner together before leaving work. When Gia returned to the suite and saw that it was almost time, she sent a text message to Ye Wei: "If this is what you want, Master Gia has been tricked by you, the shocking power of ss  Makes me question whether I was right to question you."

Not satisfied with this?  Either Ye Wei is playing tricks, perfectionism is causing trouble, or both.

Until about one o'clock in the morning, Gia fell asleep. The sound of text messages on her mobile phone woke her up. She saw that it was Ye Wei's reply: "I'm not kidding you, but I am also confused by these feelings."

In a strange mood, Gia chatted with Ye Wei through text messages and then on the phone for a while, and found that he was somewhat perfectionistic. The core reason was that he lost control. From pre-production to post-production, he completed this in a state of control.  There is something wrong with this movie no matter how you watch it now.

Listening to what he said, he questioned whether the formal techniques she thought were great were "too much" because he didn't feel that way.

Since the birth of film, realism and formalism have been the two most commonly used words to classify film styles.

However, they are best used to rule out films that are extremely inclined to these two styles, but films with extreme styles are in the minority and are usually in the middle of the two, that is, classicism.  Let¡¯s put it this way, generally speaking, documentaries are realism, feature films are classicism, and avant-garde films are formalism.

"The 400 Blows" is realism, "Forrest Gump" is classicism, and "Lola Run" is formalism.

Among Ye Wei's films, "World of Dirty Words" is formalistic, and the others are all classicistic. Among them, "Wedding Day is Coming" and "Soul Surfer" tend to be formalistic, while "Winter's Bone", which is currently being filmed, tends to be realistic.  ism.

Realism means using less and preferably no techniques. The montage technique is also opposed. The camera is a recording tool rather than a "commentary" mouthpiece for the things that are visible on the surface.  The highest criterion is simplicity, naturalness, and directness. The director would rather erase himself than manipulate or reveal himself.  Like Ye Wei told everyone before w¡¯sb started filming that he was going to hide and film this movie, everyone behind the scenes had to do this, so that the actors and the material were the only things the audience saw.

But this does not mean that realism lacks artistry, but that the best realists know how to hide their artistic methods.

Formalism is different. On the contrary, the director is most concerned about how to express his subjective and personal views on things, and uses whatever techniques are necessary, so they are usually more fancy, and there is a large degree of manipulation and "reality"  Stylized processing, like the two-split screen used by Ye Wei in SS and many others.  That's nothing. There are some very abstract avant-garde films that express themselves with pure form and technique as their only content.  No one can understand it except the director himself.

The general form of art is obvious, but these techniques will undoubtedly distract the audience from the content, aware of the director's presence, and hearing the camera speaking.

Ye Wei's vision for SS was classicism with no obvious bias. However, he said that after the filming was completed, he was not satisfied with the material and felt that he could not complete the movie he wanted using only those materials, so he worked hard in the post-production stage.  To save it, more formal techniques and more manipulations are used to instill the audience's self-emotions instead of the audience's own objective taste.

But he has two major embarrassments. One is that his style is incomplete because he became a monk halfway.  For example, the angles of some shots were not done well. High-angle shots can better show the plight, humiliation, powerlessness, injury, and danger of the characters in the picture. Some shots should have been shot at a high angle, but they were taken at a horizontal line of sight.  This is the culprit that makes some parts of the film seem flat, even though he tried his best to create a feeling of being on the eve of the storm, including using the song "Pray-for-Rain" as the soundtrack.

Second, formalism stems from the director¡¯s desire to express himself strongly and explicitly.?He is not, he does it with utilitarian goals, because maybe the audience will like it, so he does it. This is actually the purpose of commercial films. When he makes independent films like this, it seems to have nothing to do with art.

¡° This can move others, but not himself.

Looking at the "Soul Surfer" he made by himself, he felt dissatisfied and confused.

Confused about why others really like it, confused about whether a good movie can be made in this way, or even a classic, what is the art of film?

The response to SS's premiere had a great cognitive impact on him. He is thinking more about reality, form, subjectivity, objectivity, self-emotion, audience resonance, black-handed manipulation, etc This involves the most basic director.  Question, how does he want to make a movie?

Talking back to the disagreement on the morning when W'sb started filming, this was the reason why Ye Wei followed Jennifer's wishes. He realized that the character action of twisting the ears was manipulative and distorted to Jennifer's "Rui", which he could not allow to happen.  Things in w'sb.  He wants to follow the greatest sense of realism, or illusion, that is, the world of the film reflects the real world without manipulation.

"Soul Surfer" is not, not as a movie adapted from a true story.

It is so dramatic. If it weren't for the opening sentence "ba-sex d-on-a-t breast e-story", it would be much less convincing, and that's not what he wanted.

Although Gia can understand this, it does not mean that she has arrived here. She cannot understand his mood at all, let alone give him any guidance. She really cannot be a master this time.  Not just her, who among her peers can?  Not everyone is a genius like viy, even those with outstanding talents, like Xavier Dolan, are still far behind.

They are still thinking about designing a long shot or a montage to feel good about themselves. Ye Wei is worried about whether to choose a long shot or a montage?  They were still sighing sincerely or forcefully about some topic about teenage scars. Ye Wei's artistic feelings had gone nowhere, which confused him.

    How to communicate this?

"Boy, to be honest, I could still see you during "Wedding Day", but I couldn't see you during "Little Miss Sunshine". Now? Your state is not something I can understand and feel for the time being.  I don¡¯t understand how you can make those montages, but I don¡¯t understand how you can handle them all so naturally.¡±

    "I have no idea."

Hearing his confusion, Gia let out a long sigh, "No more talking. I can only praise you when we talk about this. You should talk to masters like my old man. I hope you won't be confused by Katherine Bigg."  If you get a woman like Luo who is forty or fifty years old, you are in danger now."

"JesusGia, what about Susan Sarandon? She's sixty, come on! I'm Lily's person."

    ¡°Isn¡¯t Susan just Lily?¡±

    ¡¡

The Los Angeles Airport was brightly lit at night, and passenger planes were taking off and landing as usual.

Ye Wei sat alone in the waiting chair waiting for the upcoming boarding. He would transfer to Dallas and then return to Springfield, arriving at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning.  This departure will have to wait until the evening of the 20th before returning to Los Angeles. Saturday the 21st is Duoduo's 6th birthday. He has already arranged for the crew to have a holiday on the 21st and start work on Sunday.

After finishing the call with Gia, Ye Wei put down the phone, looked at the huge airport, and gave a wry smile.

Gia was thinking wildly, but one thing was true. He felt that he couldn't talk about these issues with his peers and couldn't find anyone to talk to. Gia couldn't do it, Dolan couldn't do it, Lev and the others couldn't do it, and Lily couldn't do it either. He knew what Lily was thinking.  Her love made him happy. His self-blame and depression were gone, but his confusion remained.

When are you going to talk to those "movie guys"?  It's presumptuous and hard to talk to.

Ye Wei flipped through the address book on his phone, a little confused.
