"Good morning, I wish you all the best with your new movie, and let the audience love "The Bone", "The Lovely Bones", and "Winter's Bone"! lol"

"!!! It's only four o'clock in the morning in Los Angeles, are you sleepwalking? o_o"

"Sent on time. I'm at -_-"

    ¡°Really smart,£þ-_-£þ¡±

"Those are eyebrows? They're not that thin!"

    ¡°¨}¨}¨}¨}__¨}¨}¨}¨}

    "

    ¡°Where¡¯s the nose?¡±

    "Here, ©ß"

    ¡°I can finally breathe again.¡±

"Your nose really looks like a middle finger."

    ¡¡

It was almost sunrise, the sky was dyed orange-red, the light became brighter and brighter, bursts of laughter resounded throughout the w¡¯sb studio in the mountains and forests, and a flock of birds flew up in the surrounding woods in shock.  Now there is only a single burst of boy's laughter, which cannot be stopped.

"Weige!" Gia had to ask seriously. Didn't you see that Jennifer was about to cry? Ye Wei almost fell to the ground with laughter. It was so mean.

Assistant director Anderson and cinematographer Grady both felt that this was not good. In fact, everyone's laughter just now was just a conditioned reflex. Viy laughed too much, but it was difficult to say anything.  He is the only king here, and he wants Jennifer Lawrence to get out immediately.

"Hahaha!" Ye Wei was still laughing, and his clear laughter was super mean, like a prank succeeded or something.

Dunham could tell that the laughter of those evil people in school was this kind of laughter. Even if Jennifer slapped Ye only, she was sure that she had tried it and such people would laugh even harder and make you have a nervous breakdown.  , leaving a psychological shadow, this kind of laughter sounds in nightmares every night.

That man is a real bad guy

"Wei." Alicia was in a hurry and wanted to say something to plead for Jennifer or mediate the situation. She felt her heart was breaking.

"I know I'm ridiculous" Jennifer said with a trembling voice, her eyes glazed over, "I just want to play this role well"

Just when he took a deep breath, Ye Wei was already aware that the situation was not good. He couldn't hold back his smile because Jenny accidentally said something funny, thinking of the laughter and love with Lily, but it created a completely wrong signal.  .

In an instant, my mind was racing and I had a response.  Listening to Jenny's choking, he laughed and said, "What do you know? You don't understand shit."

    ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? lure-don-t-know-shit.  This sentence immediately made the studio even more silent. Some veterans thought about the filming of "Soul Surfer" and viy sprayed Garfield.

what the hell!  ?  Gia almost shouted angrily. After all, Ye Wei was the director, so she held back and said nothing.  This is too hurtful. It¡¯s true that Jennifer is a newcomer and she doesn¡¯t know much about movies and studios, but is it okay to scold her like this?  Is he going to kick Jennifer away and replace her with a replacement?

"I" Jennifer's face turned red and white, and the scenery, people, and everything around her were spinning.

"You don't understand my current mood at all!" Ye Wei suddenly pushed the back of her head affectionately, looked at her stunned eyes, and smiled with emotion: "Wow! You cowgirl, you really surprised me.  I'm so happy!"

What?  The entire set was stunned. Gia was the first to react and rolled her eyes, "Fuck."

"Unbelievable! What did I find? A performing genius? More than that!" Ignoring those doubts, Ye Wei magnified the happy part in his heart, looked around at the stunned people, and asked with a smile: "What about you?  What are you laughing at? Do you think I¡¯m laughing at her? No, no, no!¡±

Alicia smiled excitedly, thinking of that breakfast, yes, that¡¯s it, he can change people¡¯s mood from heaven to hell and back to heaven in just two sentences!

"I've earned it!" Ye Wei shouted, took the stunned Jennifer's arm, and said seriously: "I want to introduce to you, this is a brave, gifted, talented girl, she has an excellent actor's heart  Do you think she is being stupid? No! She is just fighting for control of 'Rui'. This is what a good actor should do and must do, no matter what she does this time!  Clumsy, next time, and next time, she keeps getting better, and soon, she will be terrifying!"

Jennifer let him pull her, her face turned red, as if she was hanging in mid-air. She didn't know if it was real just now, or now, orwhat's going on?

Everyone who was laughing or not was silent because Ye Wei didn't say anything and didn't look at anyone. The veterans understood this kind of director's instructions, but the rookies were a little confused.  Dunham looked at this, looked at that, he was indeed viy, no one knew what he was thinking.?.

"You don't have to believe my words, you don't have to disdain my confidence!" Ye Wei patted Jennifer's shoulder, and her tears fell. He spoke louder and louder: "But I want to tell you, this girl has a bright future.  , big star? Yes! Oscar? Yes! When she stood on the Oscar podium, her acceptance speech would be: Thank you to those who once laughed at me, including you, Ye Wei, you can shut up now.  Come on, take your compliments and get out of here, because I don¡¯t care!¡±

Everyone seemed to hear a collective ooh and aah. Viy¡¯s confidence in his future girls has never been a secret, but it seemed like this was the first time that it was mentioned to this extent. It had never happened on the set of SS or TLB.  Everyone understood Ye Wei's other meaning: Be respectful to Jennifer. I can laugh at her, but you can't. She is mine, so don't offend her.

"JL, I have changed my mind. This scene will be shot as you said, without twisting my ears."

Ye Wei said seriously to Jennifer that this was a decision made after careful consideration. Compared with several metaphors, a female lead who was not destroyed was more important and the most important.  That's just one of the reasons. Overall, he made mistakes and didn't do a good job as a director. This is not a disagreement that cannot be resolved through coexistence.

"Uh-huh" Jennifer choked and nodded. She wanted to say something but couldn't. She tried her best not to cry. What was he talking about?  No more twisting your ears?  This person is really bad. I was made to cry by him. It¡¯s not a shame, it¡¯s because this person is so bad

"Hey, it's okay." Ye Wei comforted her gently, "I understand you, everything."

He looked at the sunrise sky. The magic time had passed. The light source had become unsuitable for the previous arrangement. Jennifer's mood could not start immediately. She had to wash her face and reapply her makeup. He had something to say to her alone.  clear.

"Take a break for half an hour!" Ye Wei shouted. He hadn't even started the computer for half an hour. "Let's go have some breakfast, do some morning exercise or something. Jenny, come with me, let's talk about the show." After that, he walked in the opposite direction of the base camp.  Go up the mountain road to the north.

A storm on the set just subsided. Now everyone was doing their own thing. No one talked about just now. Many people went to the food table to get snacks.

Gia went up and hugged Jenny, and Alicia also came over and clapped her hands with Jenny.

"I'm fine." Jennifer wiped away her tears and quickly followed Ye Wei who was walking away.

    ¡¡

Ye Wei realized that something was wrong with him, and Lily was right. He was too happy. He was neither moldy ice nor normal. He could dance with joy at any time or get carried away at any time. He was hurt by her. She  Why is it so good?

The high level of authoritarian power in the office and on the set also makes me sometimes not have any airs, but treat others too wantonly. I really deserved a beating just now.

If this is a crazy comedy, there is no problem, but w'sb is not. This personal mentality and atmosphere are not correct for his own and the entire team's creation, which makes the subconscious counterpart emotions suppressed. At this time, "  "Good condition" is false.

¡°What if a poet writes a sad poem in an ecstatic state?

If the set of "Brokeback Mountain" was full of laughter, if Ang Lee, Heath Ledger and others finished the filming laughing, their performance might have been very bad.

Fortunately, this problem has been exposed now that filming has just started. We can¡¯t continue like this. This won¡¯t work.

Walking on a secluded mountain road, breathing in the fresh air and looking at the autumn morning scenery around me, even though I am in a desolate scene, my sweet heart does not feel at all decadent.  What to do?  I really don¡¯t want to use emotional memory¡

Hearing the footsteps getting closer and closer behind him, Ye Wei looked back and smiled at Jennifer who was following him, "I scared you just now, I apologize to you, I'm sorry."

"Uh" Jennifer's mood had calmed down a lot, but she didn't know how to get along with him. "It's nothing, I'm a little emotional."

"No, I was the bastard just now. I'm very happy, but the timing and way I expressed it was wrong. If you should have hit me, Emma Roberts would." Ye Wei said with a smile, and Jennifer couldn't help laughing. He stretched out his palm,  "Are we okay?" She high-fived him, "If we're not cool, who's cool?"

"Man, you chose to use expressionism to play Rui. I feel like" Ye Wei elaborated as he walked, "Surprised."

"Brother, I don't know that clearly." Jennifer quickly wanted to explain, "But yes! I don't like experientialism, I don't like method acting, and I don't want to put any of my emotions into the performance." Just admit it, otherwise he will  The director talked about emotions, but she was thinking about reason, so how could she cooperate and accept being fired?

After speaking in one breath, she took a long breath and said, "That's how I perform."

"That's why I saw the ghost, man." Ye Wei shrugged.

The so-called Expressionism is actually a very loose and vague system. One of the originators, the famous French theater actor Le Corcoran (1841-1909), said: "Performance is not about the actor and the role becoming one, but about the actor presenting reality with absolute calmness and rationality."  Express the character's emotions." By the way, he is the most famous and representative "big-nosed love saint."

This is actually a classical theater performance method, almost opposite to it is the experiential school, that is, the Stanislavsky system, which originated in Moscow in the early 20th century.

Stany (1863-1938) revolutionized performance.  He was the first person to formulate a system of performing arts. Throughout his life, he used his own talent and passion, combined with the essence of previous experience, to compile a complete set of theories, techniques, training methods, etc., and is the author of a must-read for actors.  "Actor's Self-cultivation", "Creating Characters", "Creating Characters" and "My Artistic Life".

To put it simply, he advocates that actors need to dedicate themselves to art. Performance is to fully integrate into the role, use one's own memory and imagination, and use precise body movements to express sincere emotions, and make the role realistic in every detail.  This requires long-term training, including physical skills, emotional experience, strict self-analysis and criticism, etc.  Hollywood psychiatrists have Stannie to thank.

The so-called method school, method-ac is quite good, is the Americanization of the experience school.  If Richard Polelawski (1889-1937) was still Stani's true disciple, Lee Strasberg (1901-1982), who studied under him, was the originator of the Method School.

In the 1920s, Porelavsky led the Moscow Art Theater team to exile in New York. Strasberg was shocked by their performances, and subsequently participated in Porelavsky's training class, and worked closely with the director in the 1930s.  Harold Kluman formed the "Group Theater". He organized and developed what he learned from the experiential school, and created two core "improvisational performances" and "emotional memories" that are characteristic of American fast food culture.

Staney said, "Performance requires precise and meticulous rehearsal of every tiny movement," and "the emotional unity, sincerity, and believability of actors and characters." Strasberg said, "No, improvisation is also possible," and "  The audience doesn't know what you are thinking when you are acting. As long as the character is sad, you are sad too. Use your emotional memory. It doesn't matter whether the emotional driving force is consistent."

His ideas and methods are like opening a shortcut. While he is very popular, he has also cultivated excellent actors in dramas and movies, such as Al Pacino.  The female drama master Uta Hagen (1919-2004), who studied under Harold Kluman, is another important figure in the Method School. She herself is a three-time Tony Award winner. She also taught many actors and acting teachers.  For example, Doreen Cannon, one of the most famous acting teachers in the UK, has also changed the way of acting in the UK.

But as time went by, there were naturally more divergent theorists. Stella Adler (1901-1992) was not convinced by Strasberg. When she was an actress in the group theater, she had many conflicts with Strasberg.  Conflict, because she became more and more confused with his method, "This is not the right way to act! It seems that there is no passion, there is only pain, and I don't know what I am doing." In order to find the answer, she visited Moscow at that time  Stany asked him what happened.

So here is Stany's only statement on the Method: "Because you have ignored the highest task and through-actions, your performance has no desire and no motivation." The highest task and through-actions are one of the cores of his system. The former  It refers to the character¡¯s desires and needs in the situation specified in the script, and the latter refers to a complete series of actions taken by the character to complete the task.  What he said is tantamount to saying, "You methodists are cheating emotionally and messing up your actions. Of course it won't work."

Adler had an epiphany and started her own method after returning to the United States.

Compared to Strasberg, she places more emphasis on imagination and strikes a balance between "emotional memory" and "the highest task." When an actor wants to play a scene where the character is walking by a lake in Switzerland, Stani is  "It must be walking by the lake in Switzerland", Strasberg said "walking by the toilet, flying in the sky, whatever, as long as the emotions are consistent", Adler's original words were: "If you don't feel it,  When you go to the lake in Switzerland, replace it with the lake in your hometown.¡±

Later, she developed a lot of imaginative training methods, returning more and more to the script itself, emphasizing that she should put herself into specific situations when performing.  The higher your imagination, the better. You don¡¯t have to have real experiences or trade in your emotional memories.

She also pursues physical training and accuracy in action. On the one hand, she inherited the Stani system. The famous sayings include "choice embodies wisdom" and "actions, not words, determine achievement." On the other hand, she emphasizes that she can act in performances.?Independent, personal choice, rather than blindly following rigid routines set by others and yourself during preparation and rehearsal.

The achievements of the Adler faction are not inferior to those of the Strasberg faction. Marlon Brando, Warren Beatty, Robert De Niro and others are all her direct disciples.

The expressionist school, the experiential school, and the two method schools all have many differences in actors' daily training, preparation before performance, mental state and physical actions during performance. Many of them cannot coexist, so that an actor often has to take sides.  .

For example, if Jennifer wants to play Rui, the experience group will firmly say "I am Rui!", the Strasberg method group will smile and say, "It doesn't matter if I am Rui, as long as the audience thinks I am Rui", and the Adler method  The emotional one said, "I imagine I am Rui," while the expressionist shrugged and said, "What? I'm just imitating Rui. Imagination, design, rehearsal, performance, our best friends are reason and calmness!"

People have different personalities, so of course actors have to choose the method that suits them best.

But when it comes to difficulty, in terms of common sense and current situation, the Strasberg method is the easiest and is the most used by actors all over the world. Its shortcomings are also obvious. It is easy for actors to play any role themselves, like Leonardo.  There are many; second is the Adler method, but it has extremely high requirements for imaginative talent; and then is the experiential school.  Expressionism is now heresy.

The reason why Ye Wei is worried or even disappointed is because Jennifer wants to use expressionism, which seems to be too ambitious.  He has never directed an expressionist actor, Emma is a methodist; Liz uses the Adlerian method to target the experientialist, and the funny thing is that her imagination is trapped by her own.

Among these girls, no one else would say "I don't want to put any of my emotions into the performance", only this guy, Jennifer Lawrence.

"Uh, man" Jennifer looked at him and said what was in her heart, hoping to be understood: "I started studying acting two and a half years ago. Before I participated in the talent show, I had already learned everything. This year I accepted  I didn¡¯t fall in love with the experiential training you assigned, but I became convinced.¡±

She pretended to be embarrassed, "I love expressionism. I found that when I keep my head clear and don't invest emotions or take on roles, that's the best version of me. I've tried it! Let me use any emotion  Memory, I just can¡¯t play it, and it¡¯s not interesting.¡±

"I told you, you are extremely talented." Ye Wei raised his hands and looked at the rising sun in the east of the sky.

His steps were a little bigger, and Jennifer followed quickly, and continued: "I think that's stupid, I am who I am, and I don't want to lose control of myself, that's very uncomfortable. Okay, man, I have no artistic dedication.  Spirit¡¡"

"Dude." Ye Wei couldn't help laughing again and pushed the back of her head, "When you have a smart head, you have to use it well, right?" Jennifer also laughed suddenly: "I don't know, acting is pretty cool.  Stupid." Ye Wei asked imaginatively: "If there is a role that you can't play well when you are calm, but as long as you lose your mind a little bit, you will be very good."

Jennifer thought seriously for a long time. The quiet mountain forest made her disgust so obvious. She shook her head and said, "Then I won't play that role."

"Are all characters like this?" Ye Wei asked again.

"Impossible!" she shouted, and he said, "What if!" She laughed happily: "Then I will only act in funny comedies, and I can be my own."

¡°When I play ¡®The God of Weddings,¡¯ I¡¯m not just being myself. Oh! I understand, you don¡¯t want to be in pain because of acting, like the pain when you were vaccinated when you were a child.¡±

"Yes, I don't want to." Jennifer said, "I like looking at the characters. I don't care if it's art or not, I like that feeling. Isn't it very backward?"

She doesn¡¯t know anything but she understands this. Now expressionism is not only outdated, but also considered cheap and cheap.  Although performances are all deception, people like to hear that an actor has worked for months before performing a role, invested a lot of emotion in the performance, and has many psychological problems after the performance; but they don¡¯t like to hear that an actor just  In expressing that character, it's like a cold machine.

She doesn¡¯t know viy¡¯s attitude, but after this year¡¯s cooperation and exchanges, he first regarded her as a method actor as a matter of course, and today

"No." Ye Wei organized his speech and said: "Actually, when it comes to acting, the Method School takes shortcuts. It has too many flaws. Do you think I just like emotional substitution? Not at all, maybe  No matter which role you play, you become emotionally disturbed or crazy, and it feels like a betrayal of yourself, and I don¡¯t like it either.¡±

"Haha!" Jennifer was happy to be understood, and even more happy that he seemed to be "one of our own." This was the feeling, "You don't have the spirit of dedication to art either."

"Otherwise??Why do you think I became a director?  I'm so handsome.  "As soon as Ye Weigang finished speaking, she raised her hand and pushed the back of his head. He smiled and said, "Methodism can be so prosperous because it is easy and it just fits the rhythm of the camera performance. In the first five minutes, you were still acting in this scene.  Camera, you have to be happy; now you are performing scene B, you have to be sad; in 5 minutes you are going to perform scene C, and you have to be happy again.  And the three scenes are not in a coherent order in the script, boo!  It¡¯s easier to go crazy when you experience a movie.

The experience school is not the final answer. Who knows what it is.  But if you get better results with an Expressionist show than a Methodist one, why not?  In the long run, you can achieve greater achievements, maybe get closer to the true meaning of performance, and maybe even create your own system.  "

"Maybe!" Jennifer laughed, she felt a little shy when he said it, she didn't know anything, she was so stupid.

Ye Wei stopped in his tracks to show the seriousness of his words: "If you can act well in this way, then so be it, but you must be able to act well. I will use expressionism to guide you, and use some magic tricks that you are willing to use."  How about the Deller method, which is just imagination and no emotion?¡±

"Okay, I have always used imagination." Jennifer also straightened her face.

"What I said on the set just now was not to try to impress you, it was my true opinion of you."

Ye Wei stared into her eyes and said slowly: "I want you to lead this movie! It won't get an Oscar nomination for Best Director, but it will get a Best Actress nomination or even win, because it's yours. It's not  Mine, not Alicia¡¯s, it¡¯s your movie.¡±

"Dude" Jennifer was a little stunned, not quite understanding what he meant, and her heartbeat seemed to be bursting with emotion.

"Not ten years later, now! Just you! This is not a wish, this is a goal. In order to achieve the goal, I will be very cruel to you, you can't imagine it."

His deep voice sounded like a sneer, and his sharp eyes looked into her shining eyes.

¡°If you are afraid, have no confidence, or have no interest, just say, get out of here right away, I will change the person immediately, and we can continue shooting in the afternoon, that is Methodism.¡±
