    viy writes a short story!

There are many famous celebrities who have written short stories, such as James Franco, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, etc., but Ye Wei is the only one who has written articles of this quality at the age of 18.  Comparing him to Franco and others would be an injustice to them, he is in the range of professional witters.

Because Ye Wei noted, "If you like it, repost it and share it." The high level of celebrity effect means it spreads like crazy in a short period of time.

People generally appreciate "The Eyeball Collector". The more horror-themed it is, the more amazing it is for reading. However, many young fans said that many words cannot be understood and it is a bit difficult to read.  However, the media and book reviewers praised them one after another:

The official website of Kirk, a famous book review magazine, commented that "With the ultimate apocalyptic atmosphere and rich and natural details, Ye Wei brings readers into a cruel world." The New York Times Book Review website said, "A cold combination of horror and black humor, a sense of despair exists in every person."  "In the passage", the Los Angeles Review of Books even said "a touching beginning to create a new trend of zombies"

Zombie fans were indeed shocked. Zombiefans immediately reprinted the article. Readers rated it as high as 9.5. The comment board was filled with comments such as "Oh my God! Are there any more?" and "This kind of zombie story."  It feels great!", "viy, please write it down!"

From the first novel "Magic Island" in 1929 when the modern zombie genre was born, to the first movie "White Devil" in 1932, and now in May 2006, zombies have long been a  It is a popular culture that is popular all over the world, including novels, movies, games, animations, etc. There are few people who have not been exposed to zombie stories.

Nowadays, all kinds of zombies have been written about and filmed: those without intelligence, those with intelligence, those that cannot reproduce, those that can reproduce, those that are viral, those that come from aliens, those that can talk

The zombies in "The Eyeball Collector" are the most cliched ones, what's so surprising about them?

Because the zombie genre has never explored this depth in its direction.

It's not like "Snakes and Rainbows" (1985), which is written in a voodoo or cult style; it's not like "The Wandering Zombies from Uranus" (2003), which is written like "Ender's Game"; it's not like "The End of the World Day by Day"  (2004) of soldiers, high technology, and world war.

Not like Richard Matheson's "I Am Legend" (1954), not like Stephen King's "Pet Sematary" (1983), not like George A. Romero's "The Living Dead" series  Movies (1968, 1978, 1985, 2005).

"I Am Legend" pioneered zombie cannibalism, and "Night of the Living Dead" carried it forward

These three masters influence each other and represent zombie culture, genres and types to a certain extent.

The whole world is destroyed/the protagonist's activities are completely destroyed. The protagonist fights against all enemies alone. That is "I Am Legend"; the zombies develop a new civilization and the protagonist becomes the only alien. The murderous demon in the legend of the new civilization is also "I Am Legend".  "I am a legend".

A zombie crisis broke out in a city/town/house. The characters fell into danger and were trapped in the scene. They had to deal with the monsters or die.  That's "Pet Sematary," but also "Jaws," "Alien," "Alien," "The Dead," "Shaun of the Dead," and so on.

In this type, whether it is a zombie, a shark, or a gravitational wave ids, it is actually the same. It can also be a ghost, a murderer, or an alien, but the form is different.

Needless to say, the greatness of the "Living Dead" series, its various creations are the cornerstone of zombie films that still remain popular today.  In terms of story form, a small team of humans escape together, kill zombies, have internal conflicts and conflicts, and have members die, with the goal of heading to a safe place that has not fallen. This is considered the originator of similar stories.

Another kind is "Resident Evil", "Fallout", etc. Their stories have a very high perspective, focusing on technological changes, international turmoil, and the life and death of human civilization. When talking about zombies and survival, it is better to talk about the future, science fiction, adventure, and power.  Fighting, wasteland world.

When it comes to wasteland worlds and dystopias, of course we have to talk about the "Mad Max" series, which is in the same category as "Star Wars": the most primitive heroic stories of mankind.

Before a movie appeared, zombie culture was roughly like this. The goals of the characters were nothing more than:

To get the antidote, don¡¯t be eaten, escape to a safe place, kill all the monsters, and prevent the end of the world.

It was changed in 2002 by a British horror film with a budget of 8 million, called "28 Days Later":

Jim woke up from a coma caused by a car accident and found himself lying naked in a shabby hospital. The world had changed drastically, but he didn't know what was going on.  He left the hospital and wandered the streets of London, where he was almost killed by zombies before being rescued by other survivors.

Jim then knew the truth. The virus would be over in Britain in 28 days, and there would be countless deaths.Bodies, bits of survivors and military personnel outside Manchester on the radio.  They were going to seek refuge, but the journey was dangerous and some members died. Jim and two women were left, but it turned out to be a trap. The soldiers became beasts and wanted to rape the two women.  Jim escaped and went back to save people. The soldiers were finished. In the end, there were multiple endings, with Jim alive and Jim dead.

Generally speaking, "28 Days Later" is still the same old "don't get eaten + escape to a safe place", but it brings a new vitality to the lifeless zombie world because its perspective is very low and  The world is bleak, and it focuses on survival, reality, and the darkness of humanity.

Compared to zombies, other living people are more terrifying.

However, after "28 Days Later", this new energy has not been developed. "House of the Dead" and "Shaun of the Dead" continued to "just kill all the monsters", and "Resident Evil 2" and "Hunt of the Living Dead"  "Continuing "Don't Get Eaten + Escape", "Land of the Living Dead" is a civilized confrontation between evolved zombies and humans. The last fortress of humans is still in a mess inside.

It's just not like "28 Days Later": "The world is collapsing rapidly. There are endless zombies that can be eaten at any time. There is no antidote and no safe place. It's the end of the world. There are good people, but there are also zombies everywhere.  Bad guy, all you can do is try to survive for a few more days.¡±

"The Eyeball Collectors" also falls into this category, so it's fresh, so it's amazing.

There is no need to innovate zombies, you just need to choose a novel perspective.

In the eyes of zombie fans, Ye Wei¡¯s short story is really a collection of zombie stories:

The first paragraph is "The Living Dead" + "Pet Sematary", the team escapes, showing Universal Studios; the second paragraph is "I Am Legend" + "Resident Evil", social unrest, showing the city of Los Angeles; the third paragraph is  It is "28 Days Later" and its own new style that survives and shows the whole world.

The third paragraph, which is the smallest, is their favorite. As critic Flynn Dias said: "Wake up, pick up a machete to kill zombies, meet and chat with other survivors by chance, gouge out eyeballs, and eat breakfast.  , let¡¯s talk about my thoughts on the end of the world, viy¡¯s new life is really it doesn¡¯t matter.¡±

In addition to the perspective, a few paragraphs of background introductions of two college freshman survivors present a chaotic and dark doomsday world before our eyes. The cold writing style, natural scheduling, smooth and rich cinematic description  All these experienced writing skills have amazed book critics.

A little biscuit and a blanket are what Jay and Taryn are fighting for. Their series of attitude changes towards the "eye-catcher". This kind of perspective, world setting and story power are sorely lacking in the current zombie culture.  What zombie fans around the world are hungry for.

"Ye Wei" has already caught the readers' eyes. What has he experienced in the past three years?  What was he thinking?  Is he a good guy or a bad guy?  Are you considered a good guy or a bad guy?  He helped the two of them, but he ate human eyes. He seemed to still be the smart and humorous viy, or his new name: the eyeball collector.

With his first short story, viy once again declared his reputation as a genius.

Zombie fans want to see more!  This is one of the top zombie stories, and one of the most attractive in 2006. However, Ye Wei said that this is a short story

They just flocked to Ye Wei¡¯s blog like zombies and left messages, begging him to write a full-length novel or a series of short stories. Anyway, keep writing!  Shoot it later!

At the same time, Wei Mi fans have mixed feelings. People who were worried that his talent was no longer relieved are a lot relieved. Yunik's fans are even more happy to finally see his dark talent again.

The media and movie fans are all digging for the deeper meaning in the article. Although it doesn't matter if they only read the wonderful stories and don't care if there are any metaphors, it doesn't mean that there aren't any.

    The black humor behind the death of the stars and the lines in the first paragraph is the easiest to see;

It is not difficult for movie fans to see the connection with "Little Miss Sunshine". The ending of LMS is a family eating ice cream at a table on the side of the road. As long as the family is there, home is everywhere. As long as there is sunshine in one's heart, everywhere is spiritual.  Wonderland; "The Eye Receiver" is about three strangers eating eyeballs in the woods beside the road, with nowhere to return and nowhere to go, sunshine in the soul?  Come to think of it, that was before.

AOL¡¯s David Luckett actually saw a connection with the Bible?  What's going on!  ?

¡°Marah¡± means bitter, bitter water, which originates from Exodus in the Old Testament of the Bible.

Moses led the Israelites to flee, Exodus 15: "When they came to Marah, they could not drink the water there, because the water was bitter, so the name of the land was Marah." Exodus 15:24 "The people murmured against Moses, saying, "We drank  What?  Exodus 15:25 ¡°Moses called to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. He threw the tree into the water, and the water became sweet.¡±  There the LORD established statutes and regulations for them.??Test them there.  "

The zombies are Egyptians, Jay is Moses, and Taryn is an Israelite, but the one with the eyes is not Jehovah, but Satan, a fallen demon.  When Jay asked, "What shall we eat?" the eye-taker gave them instructions, whether the bitter water was an eyeball, a tree, or a tree.

Exodus 15:26 ¡°And he said, If you will listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in my sight, and listen carefully to my commandments and keep all my statutes, I will do nothing to the Egyptians.  sickness has come upon you, for I, the LORD, heal you.¡±

The person who closed the eyes said that all the fish and fish were given to the two of them, which sounded reasonable, but in fact it was not healing them, but inducing them to do evil things and fall into hell.

But in a world where God judges all living beings, how does God redeem the world, and how does the world redeem itself?  There is no escaping the essence of life. What do we drink and eat?  Maybe this is a world without gods, only demons.

The evil and breast tattoos can be said to directly point out that "Ye Wei" is Satan, and his ending has been hinted in the second paragraph:

There is the earliest record of Satan in Ezekiel 28:12-18 in the Old Testament of the Bible:

Son of man, you lament for the king of Tyre and say, ¡°This is what the Lord God says: You are prepared for everything, you are wise, you are beautiful.¡±

You were in the garden of Eden, and you were clothed with all kinds of precious stones: rubies, rubies, diamonds, beryls, onyx, jaspers, sapphires, emeralds, rubies, and gold; and fine ones  The drum and the flute are with you; they were all prepared in the day you were created.

You are the anointed cherubim that covers the ark of the covenant; I have placed you in the holy mountain of God; you go among the precious stones that shine like fire.

¡°You were perfect in all your ways from the day you were created, but then unrighteousness was discovered in you.

Because you traded a lot, you were filled with violence and sinned. Therefore, I expelled you from the mountain of God because you desecrated the holy place.  O cherubim that covered the ark of the covenant, I have destroyed you from the jewels that shine like fire.

Because of your beauty your heart was haughty, and because of your glory you corrupted your wisdom, I have cast you down to the ground and made you fall before kings so that they may see you.

Because of your multitude of sins and unfair trade, you have desecrated your sanctuary there.  Therefore I cause fire to come out from among you and consume you, and I turn you to ashes on the earth in the sight of everyone who looks on.

¡°Everyone among the nations who knows you will be amazed by you.  You are to be feared and no longer exist in this world, forever.  ¡¿

Satan was God's beloved son. He had all the glory and wealth. He was "just a blanket." He was an all-powerful, all-wise, and all-beautiful genius. His previous actions were all perfect, but he was corrupted by his arrogance and wisdom and became incompetent.  He was righteous, committed sin, and desecrated the sanctuary, and was finally punished by the Lord, who burned him with fire and reduced him to ashes in front of everyone's eyes.

In "The Eye Collector", viy made fun of many people, but the biggest irony was towards himself, from good boy to bad boy to bad guy.

But in the eyes of zombie fans, Ye Wei is the Moses who can lead them out of the boring old zombie world, if he is interested.

kzin85 requested on Ye Wei's blog: "Please write more articles, it is not difficult for you at all." Bookerace thought of a way: "viy, reduce your appointment by one, and use the extra time to write this series,  Weekly is not good, how about one every two weeks?" Gureghian praised: "I have always wanted to write a novel but I have never been able to write it well. I really envy you for having such talent. "Can you tell me the ending of Jay and Tarin?"
