"Good morning, classmates, a new week has begun. Welcome back to Harvard-Westlake Junior High School. This is the Saperstein Theater"

"Today, for the first guest in November, we are very honored to invite the famous blues band 'Louisiana Alligator Boys' to perform for us. They once participated in the soundtrack of the 2000 film "The Blues Brothers 2000"  ¡¡±

Waves of microphone broadcast sounds came, getting closer and closer, hitting Ye Wei's mind like a giant hammer, stirring up thousands of waves.  There were also whispered conversations and chuckles coming and going, just like the background sounds of a movie. They were all humming, but I couldn't hear them clearly.

"No, I can't die! The family's debts have not been settled, my mother is still working hard, and my sister's tuition fees have not been paid. I need to be responsible for all these! And and I haven't fulfilled my father's last wish, I haven't been able to become a  A true film director, no¡¡±

"I still have so many things to do"

    ¡°I can¡¯t die yet!!!¡±

Ye Wei felt so uncomfortable, the severe pain in his chest made it difficult for him to breathe, and his consciousness fell into confusion, intermittently

Suddenly, as if the radio was rewinding to the end, with a crisp "click" sound, it seemed that some huge force pulled him back from the darkness.  Ye Wei felt that his whole body had regained his strength instantly, and he couldn't help shouting with all his strength: "No!!!!!!"

The next second, all the sounds disappeared, the darkness receded, and suddenly there was light in front of his eyes. The picture in his field of vision regained focus, and Ye Wei saw the scene.

However, when he blinked and saw everything around him clearly, he couldn't help but be stunned.

It¡¯s impossible not to be stunned

Because at this time, this spacious theater was filled with more than 700 people, whether they were young students, teachers or other teaching staff, the whole place was silent. Everyone was looking at him in surprise. The whole place was silent!

    NO?  NO-WHAT?

In the center of the front curtain of the big stage, the old principal Tom Hudnut's right hand holding the microphone was trembling. The hair on his middle-bald head almost exploded with anger. His old, wrinkled, blackened face made many lower-grade students  Be frightened!

And the junior high school principal Jenny Haybrechz below the stage, the old lady was also stunned; not to mention the Teacher Grait Aisi next to him.

She stared blankly at the guy who was shouting and standing up, her helpless voice kept ringing: "It's you again, it's you again! Ye Wei, it's you again, it's you devil again!"

    ?? Vigor-Ivan-Yeah, male, born on February 19, 1988, is a third-generation Chinese immigrant.

This is one of the ninth grade students in her charge, a very, very "unique" student!

Like all students at Harvard-Westlake, he has a privileged family and lives in the affluent Brentwood district of West Los Angeles. His father is a dentist with a private practice, and his mother is a full-time housewife. They are both modest and polite people.  He also has a three-year-old sister. She just met at the homecoming event a few days ago. She is very cute and has a good education.

But this boy, he is different!

He is the black sheep among a group of white sheep. As an Asian student, he is as smart and talented as the white sheep. However, his intelligence is not used in his studies. His grades in various subjects are always only C.  When asked to work harder, he said carelessly, "It's enough to pass, no one is perfect." So confident!

This kid seems to know a little bit about everything, but he also seems to be unable to do anything well. Apart from being very good at football, he has no other bright spots

¡°That¡¯s for studying and doing business. If it¡¯s talking about being naughty, getting into trouble, and spending money, he¡¯s good at everything.

A spoiled child!  A teenager with too much energy!

Look at the ridiculous things he often does that make people laugh or cry. For example, when he was in seventh grade, not long after he entered school, he took the lead in protesting and launching a donation campaign. After a long period of trouble, he finally forced the school to add a cook in the cafeteria.  This is where his cleverness comes into play.

Because of this, Ye Wei is quite famous in the school, and the Asian student community regards him as a king. He has a nickname called "VIY", which is both the acronym of his name and an old horror movie.  The title of the film means: Devil's spirit; Devil!

Fortunately, he does not bully others, nor does he do anything bad. In fact, with the existence of his "oligarch", there is a lot less bullying in the school.

There is a saying among Asian students: "If you are bullied, call VIY."

But his previous mischievous behavior would not attract punishment, which is also his brilliance. Now he dares to do this at the Monday meeting

Does he want to be fired?

"Oh, oh" The old principal over there was so angry that he couldn't speak. He kept panting, as if he was about to have a heart attack.

As the principal of the school, he is in charge of more than 1,500 people. He does not know these junior high school brats as well as the teachers. He only knows that this is the first time such a thing has happened!

Since the merger of Harvard Boys¡¯ School and West Lake Girls¡¯ School, he, as the first principal for more than ten years, has presided over countless Monday assemblies of the junior high school. This is the first time such a terrible thing happened!

The student handbook states that students are strictly prohibited from making any screams or shouts during assemblies. Only after receiving prompts and approval can students express their enthusiasm with applause.

The most serious disciplinary violation in the past was just a whistle You know, this is Harvard-Westlake, not some shabby school with no tradition, no discipline, and no honor!

Who is that? Who is that black sheep?  ?

The faculty and staff all have this same fright and anger. What worries them even more is that laxity is contagious!

"Who is that?", "It seems to be VIY from ninth grade, oh, that's right, it's him!"

Many students were talking in low voices, and there was an undercurrent of excitement. They said excitedly: "I know him! He is Wei, and I am his friend!" and confused: "Oh my god, what does he want to do?"  There was also a chuckle: "Smoking weed? Haha, I love him!"

"What are you surprised about? Have you forgotten? He can do even more daring things. At the homecoming day in September, he was a ninth grader, a newbie, a kid! He actually pestered the prom queen and wanted to dance.  !¡±

    "Oh? What happened next?"

"Of course the queen ignored him, but those eleventh and twelfth graders were so angry that they wanted to fix him, but he gathered dozens of people and almost had a big accident."

"I also remembered, this guy is crazy! By the way, did he also buy an out-of-print comic book for $20,000 at the school's 'annual event' bidding party?"

"Yes, that's him! His family is quite rich, and the most important thing is that he is generous! Many people call him BOSS."

    "Quiet, quiet!"

Hudnut quickly stopped the commotion. He looked at the demon student and recognized it. Even though he was angry, he still gave him a chance to speak so that they could educate the students.  He asked: "What do you want to say to the student who said no? Give him a microphone."

There was a teacher who walked quickly with a microphone.

Where everyone's eyes were focused, Ye Wei looked around again and again, his face full of shock, and it was difficult to calm down. Look at these people, here, here is

At this time, he noticed the red and black school emblem on the stage curtain, Harvard-Westlake!  This is the school he went to when he was a boy, the on-campus theater of Harvard-Westlake Junior High School!  ?  Damn it!

Why is he here, how is it possible!  ?

What¡¯s even worse is that everyone in the audience is looking at him as if this is his concert, with all kinds of looks, curious, annoying, praising

"Don't you have anything to say?" came the old principal's unkind words.

"Uh uh" Ye Wei took the microphone from the teacher with one hand and pressed his chest with the other. Of course he was here, it was Monday.

Wait, isn¡¯t today Wednesday night?  Did he just get shot in the chest because he was fighting with a gangster?  Could it all be a dream?  Or is it just a dream now?  He was a little confused.

But now was really not the time to think. He remembered what the principal had just heard. Although he could not figure out the situation yet, he answered seriously: "I am Ye Wei. In fact, "The Blues Brothers 2000" is not a movie in 2000.  Although there is 2000 in its title, it was released in 1998, which is like "2001: A Space Odyssey" released in 1968"

The whole place was silent again for a moment.

Within two seconds, it turned into a roar of laughter. No matter how much the faculty and staff scolded them, most of the students couldn't stop laughing and were unwilling to stop.

"Hahaha, man, that's awesome!" Not far away from Ye Wei's right, a fat white man gave a thumbs up with a silly smile; and not far away, a white student with a big nose made a whistle-like gesture and raised his hand.  He raises his hands to show the sign of 6 (VI). As Wei's good friend, he is greatly honored!

There are countless Asian students and students of various ethnic groups laughing and having fun!

Harvard-Westlake is a multiracial and multicultural private school. About 70% of the school¡¯s students are white, 20% are Asian, and 10% are African Americans, Latinos and other ethnic groups.

Now Ye Wei is not only VIY, but has also become everyone¡¯s hero. This is for no reason.??Rebellion.

"Quiet, quiet" The old principal was a little embarrassed. He quickly took out a small piece of paper from his pocket and looked at it. It was probably that there was no record on it. He looked at Hebrexitz again. This series of actions made everyone laugh.  louder.

After reading the resume of the guest in his hand, Hebrexitz nodded helplessly.

A famous school is always a famous school, and the students quickly restrained themselves. The principal is the principal after all. Hudnut immediately became very calm. After getting the answer, he said frankly: "Yes, Wei is right. I just said it wrong. I  I apologize to the guests and everyone, I¡¯m sorry.¡±

The old principal handled the situation very gracefully, and everyone respected him. At the same time, Ye Wei had another severe headache, and his vision was blurred. Could it be that he was really dreaming?

He was obviously shot He repeatedly touched his intact chest and couldn't help mumbling: "I'm not dead yet? Am I still alive?" But his voice resounded through the theater because of the microphone.

¡°Hahaha!¡± The theater that was about to calm down burst into laughter again, and others thought he was being humorous.

Unexpectedly, the old principal also came: "If you haven't shut up and sat down, it will be soon."

The laughter suddenly became louder, and there was applause. Even the faculty and staff were smiling, and of course they were still calling on everyone to stop: "Guys, that's enough, that's enough."

"Okay, don't laugh. Although Wei corrected my mistake, his way of expression was inappropriate and rude. The correct way is that he reported the mistake to the teacher in charge of his class, and then the teacher  Tell me, I will explain it to everyone after the guest's performance is over, so Wei will get a little punishment from him."

Ye Wei stole the show this time, so what¡¯s a little punishment?  Many students felt that it was worth it and really wished that they were the ones being punished.

    ¡°Next, let¡¯s welcome our guest ¡®Louisiana Alligator Boy¡¯ with a warm round of applause!¡±

After Hudnut said that, he retreated, and the curtain of the stage finally opened.

The applause this time was extremely warm, and the students applauded vigorously, as if the guest who was about to perform was Michael Jackson, but everyone knew that more than half of the applause was for Ye Wei.

When the orchestra started to play, only the beautiful blues music was left in the theater, as if it came from the old days of the past.

However, Ye Wei, who had just become a hero, was not in the mood to appreciate music at all.  At this moment, his face was pale and his head was covered in cold sweat.

If it were anyone else, he would have been proud of himself yesterday after making such a big splash, but now he didn't pay attention to the small compliments of the people around him, and just leaned on the back of his chair feebly, not knowing what he was thinking.  No one paid attention.

He couldn¡¯t figure out what was going on. The old principal just talked a lot and asked him to take a nap. As a result, he had a very long dream.

And this dream is so scary, magical, natural, and real

Everything has to start with the background of the dream. When the Anti-Japanese War ended, my grandfather, a soldier, did not want to fight in the civil war, so he immigrated to the United States with his family. His father Ye Haogen was born not long after.

My father is a person who loves movies. He originally wanted to be a filmmaker, but because of his father¡¯s obstruction, he became a dentist.  When he reached middle age, his college loan and housing loan were all paid off, he opened a private clinic, and with some savings, his movie dream began to revive.

Then, a small producer named Kevin Thomas appeared with a script "Wedding Day is Coming."

"Wedding Day is Coming" will be released at three theaters in Los Angeles on Friday this week at its own expense, and then

This is the real beginning of his dream.

Nightmare!  In the dream, the film ended up being a complete flop!

This independent comedy, which my father relied on to make movie dreams and made huge investments, failed at the box office with almost zero, and its reputation is extremely bad, because it is indeed a big bad movie.

The dream was shattered and the investment was ruined. The father in the dream was so angry that he had a cerebral hemorrhage. Because the rescue was not timely, he passed away a few days later.

Not only did the family lose a loved one, they also lost their financial support. This caused an originally happy family to fall into a dark abyss.

In order to repay the huge debt that his father owed to banks and credit companies, the mother in the dream had no choice but to sell the house to repay the money, and moved him and his sister to a small rented house in Silver Lake District. He also transferred to a public high school.

From then on, my mother took on all the difficulties. She had to continue to pay off the debt and continue to provide a good environment for her children to grow up. She scrimped on food and clothing, worked hard, and suffered a lot. By the time he was a senior, she had already finished her hard work.  disease¡¡

And he spends the whole dayA bad boy who was obsessed with being in the limelight, picking up girls, and spending money lavishly. He suddenly lost his father and had to live a hard life of spending one cent as a dollar. This was a huge blow to him. Over the next year, he gradually changed.  I had to be silent and introverted, as if I was living in a gloomy world, and once suffered from depression.

Fortunately, he cheered up. That was because of his father's will.

During the period of melancholy in the dream, he basically did nothing, locked himself in his room, and watched movies day and night, in order to escape reality and find answers.

Finally, he found it. He understood his father¡¯s dream and why a good dentist would invest in movies instead of doing it, because he also fell in love with this kind of magic.

A few years later, he went from being an ordinary movie viewer to becoming a student at the School of Film and Television Arts at the University of Southern California, ranked number one in the United States, majoring in "Film and Television Production."

In the four years of college in his dream, although he worked hard, he could only get above-average academic results. This was inseparable from the fact that he had to put a lot of energy into several part-time jobs, and he also had to work as a waiter at McDonald's and  When it comes to delivering food at Jim's Pizzait's hard to get an A+ in this case.

¡° Moreover, to study film, you need to make short films, and making short films requires burning money. He adheres to the "poor man's rules for making films" and is restricted in everything. It is difficult to achieve the effects of films that cost thousands or tens of thousands of dollars at every turn.

Whenever he is troubled by money, he realizes how wasteful he was!

One night, he left the student apartment as usual and went out to work part-time to make money, but he encountered an armed robbery on the road.

Three gangsters robbed four Chinese students. The situation was critical at that time. Two boys were shot to death, and the two girls were about to be taken away in a car by the gangsters!

Unable to wait for the police to arrive, he couldn't sit back and watch for a long time in the dark. He didn't know where he got the courage. He seized the opportunity to take action, rushed out, grabbed a gangster's pistol, and shot them dead.  He was also shot in the chest and seriously injured

The huge pain overwhelmed him, making it difficult for him to breathe and speak. He tried his best to say something, using all his strength

    Then¡¡

    Just woke up.

"What a ghost!" Ye Wei muttered with lingering fear, how could there be such a real dream, or

Are those dreams really about the future?

Shocked by this idea, Ye Wei took out the mobile phone in his pocket and looked at it. The date was clearly written: November 3, 2003, Monday, 9:42 AM.

He is still 15 years old, not 23 years old at the beginning of 2011 in his dream.

He frowned and dialed a number, ignoring the curious looks of people around him. As soon as he got through, he asked urgently: "Dad, is it you? Are you okay?"

My father's confused voice came from the mobile phone: "Wei? What's wrong? You have a meeting on Monday. I can hear the music. What are you calling for? I'm fine. What can I do? I'm going to call a client.  Extracting cavities."

After a quick chat and making sure his father was fine, Ye Weicai hung up the call and took a long breath.

He couldn't be sure whether this dream was real or not, and he couldn't tell his father or anyone else, "I had a terrible dream." What a joke. They would either think he was crazy or that he was planning something to come.  A prank.

¡°Besides, the money has been spent a long time ago, and it has become the movie "The Wedding is Coming" that will be released soon. Now it is too late to tell dad not to invest

But in a short period of time, he has indeed changed a lot after a strange dream, and his mentality has matured a lot. And from his current professional perspective, "Wedding Day is Coming" is really a bad movie.

Ye Wei was full of doubts and kept thinking. No matter his reason or emotions, he told him that those dreams were the future, but the future can be changed!

"No matter what, I must prevent the tragedy of my father's death from illness, and I must try my best to recover and make up for the loss of this investment. After I get home from school today, I have to have a good talk with my father."

Ye Wei's face became determined and he let the blues music play in his ears.
