readx; Something went wrong and will be fixed tomorrow.  Alterac Mountains, Durnholde Castle!  At this moment, there is nothing like the past here.  Two major factions control the Alterac Mountains: the Syndicate and the Broken Ridge Ogres.  The Syndicate is a complex bandit organization whose members are all former Altarank nobles.  These people operate primarily in and around the Alterac Mountains, fighting, assassinating, deceiving, and stealing to reclaim their ancestral lands.  The Syndicate only fights for their own cause, but they will also consider cooperating with others if they can help achieve their ultimate goal.  Syndicate agents wear brown and black clothing when patrolling, but in their territories they wear aristocratic attire.  Alterac Mountains Alterac Mountains During my travels, I came across a group of Syndicate bandits - they ambushed me in a small canyon.  Outnumbered, I surrendered.  After they decided what to do with me, they imprisoned me in the camp.  Later I managed to get a horse and escape.  This incident shows that even though the Syndicate members are human, they still cannot be trusted.  In fact, they were more vicious than any of the savages I could name.  The Broken Ridge ogres are cunning, large, and physically strong.  After escaping the Second War, these ogres turned their backs on the orcs and ruled according to their primitive ways.  They live in the city of Alterac and leave no dogs or chickens behind wherever they go.  The Ogres and the Syndicate continue a protracted war.  I once followed a group of Broken Ridge ogres marching across the plains, and to my surprise, they were singing!  stisleading don't make the mistake of thinking these ogres are a bunch of fools.  They are quite shrewd.  The syndicate's private feud and the ogre's wanton massacre are both stupid.  Alterac borders the Western Plaguelands to the north, so it's only a matter of time before the Scourge invades.  Such an attack would pit the Syndicate against the undead.  Ogres will also fight to survive.  But their numbers are too few.  I left Alterac wishing the bastards here would kill each other.  The Alterac Mountains are high and the climate is mild.  There are almost no fertile valleys between the peaks, and there are only some wastelands there.  Heavy rainfall, coupled with frequent dark clouds, makes the area gloomy.  The Broken Ridge ogres and syndicates destroyed much of the wildlife.  But the snowmen still live in the cave. There is a magic enchantment in the southwest that seals Dalaran.  The mages of Dalaran roamed there, and shrewdly stayed away from the strife of Alterac.  Hill Caves: Cruel Yetis live in these caves.  Only fearless adventurers can find their way out among these terrifying creatures.  Of course, I am such an adventurer.  I knew I had a mission, but I couldn't resist the lure of a perfect hunting opportunity.  How many dwarves have killed snowmen?  I found the footprints of a lone snowman and followed it across the mountains and ridges.  Finally I spotted it, a large bipedal white creature.  It has two big horns.  I hated my shotgun - it only pissed off the snowman and made him pounce!  I fired twice before pulling out the axe.  After the fierce battle, the snowman fell to the ground and I was seriously injured.  But I won!  I sawed off a horn as a souvenir.  Lake Lordaeron: This freshwater lake is very large and occupies most of the central and western parts of Lordaeron.  In the past, this lake was the freshwater and fish resource of the Kingdom of Lordaeron.     Now.  The island of Lordamere is infested with monsters, and the shores of the lake are polluted by the damned undead.  The lake borders five regions and interconnects them.  If the Scourge fleet passes through Lordamre, pray for the Light to protect Hillsbrad.  Highlands: Highlands is a mountainous area controlled by the Syndicate.  I believe they established a base here, although I don't know the exact location.  This is a dangerous area, and members of the Syndicate are particularly brutal.  I avoided this area and advise others to do the same.  History Alterac was once the smallest country in the Alliance of Lordaeron. King Perenold of Alterac betrayed the Alliance during the Second War.  Since then.  This incident brought disgrace to Alterac's honor.  Like all of Lordaeron, Alterac suffered terrible disasters when the Scourge swept across the continent.  The scion of the Perenold family, Duke Aiden Perenold is a senior member of the Syndicate.  Live in the highlands.  I heard he was addicted to a herb called.  Habitats Hostile forces control several settlements in the Alterac Mountains.  The Syndicate once controlled major cities, but the Broken Ridge ogres drove them away.  Now, the ruins of Altarank serve as the base and largest settlement of the ogres.?.  Magsol, this fierce and cunning chief is in charge of this tribe.  Durnholde Castle: A famous castle under the control of the Syndicate.  Thrall, the leader of the tribe, spent his youth here as a slave.  Lordamere Asylum: Located near the ruins of Dalaran, Lordamere Asylum once served as a shelter for captured orcs.  Dalaran mages now use this place to imprison the Forsaken.  I had the honor of speaking with Warden Bella Moore.  This stern female mage oversees the asylum.  She wasn't motivated by a deep hatred of the undead, but wanted to study them under controlled conditions.  Maybe she'll create something to defeat the Scourge.  The major cities that Tiga once controlled.  But the Broken Ridge ogres drove them away.  Today, the ruins of Altarank serve as the ogres' base and largest settlement.  Magsol.  This fierce and cunning chief rules the tribe.  Durnholde Castle: A famous castle under the control of the Syndicate.  Thrall, the leader of the tribe, spent his youth here as a slave.  Lordamere Asylum:.  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  Located near the ruins of Dalaran, the Asylum of Lordamere once served as a shelter for captured orcs.  Dalaran mages now use this place to imprison the Forsaken.  I had the honor of speaking with Warden Bellamore, the stern female mage who oversees the asylum.  She wasn't motivated by a deep hatred of the undead, but wanted to study them under controlled conditions.  Maybe she'll create something to defeat the Scourge.  (To be continued) Provide full text online reading, faster update speed and better article quality.
