Czechoslovakia, which was invaded by Germany and Poland, was by no means completely defenseless. On the contrary, the day after Germany and Poland invaded Czechoslovakia, the Czech army captured Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, which was briefly occupied by the rebels.  Pull hair.

The German Wehrmacht and the Polish Army also conducted air strikes against Czechoslovakia. However, just as the US military's air strikes against the Chinese army had little success, the German and Polish air strikes also had little effect against the tenacious Czechoslovak Air Force.  Of course, the German Air Force must be better than the Czech Air Force, but a considerable part of Germany's aviation force was deployed to support the US military operations. Therefore, the number of air strikes launched against the Czech Air Force did not actually exceed 100 aircraft.

The German Air Force¡¯s fighter inventory has actually been relatively limited, with only more than a hundred Tornado fighters. The Typhoon fighter, a product of the European Joint Fighter Plan, has just come out, and the German Air Force has not yet put it into active service.  In order to make up for the insufficient number of Luftwaffe fighters, the U.S. military directly allocated a batch of B6 fighter jets to the Luftwaffe that were on the verge of retirement to improve the Luftwaffe's combat capabilities.

The Polish Air Force mainly uses M2 Fulcrum fighters. In addition to Germany selling the M2s of the former East Germany to Poland at a symbolic price, Poland also received a lot of M2s sold by the SCO and the former Soviet Union. After the United States consciously carried out operations on Poland,  After the military aid, the Polish Air Force was actually not much inferior to the German Army in terms of lineup.

Although the Czechoslovak Air Force for homeland defense does not have as many fighters as Germany and Poland combined, the level of its fighters is quite high.  The Czech Air Force first imported a batch of Fl Xiaolong fighters from China after selling the M2 and other old Soviet-made fighters. In the late 1930s, the Czech Air Force imported a batch of second-hand F9 Shadow Leopard fighters from China at low prices.  In general, the Czech Air Force maintains an air force fleet of more than 8 fighter jets. Judging from the size and population of Czechoslovakia, it is already relatively powerful.

Of course, the main force that really helped Czechoslovakia fight against the gap from Germany and Poland was the four sets of Red Flag air defense systems imported from China in 1997.  The German Air Force wanted to attack these dangerous weapons in the first wave, but was counterattacked by these anti-aircraft missiles first.  The combination of anti-aircraft missiles and Czechoslovak Air Force interceptor fighters meant that the German and Polish Air Force basically did not play a major supporting role in its ground forces invading Czechoslovakia.

Soon, when the Czechoslovak government condemned NATO¡¯s actions and officially announced its membership of the SCO, the aviation force under the Chinese Ministry of Europe Command provided support to Czechoslovakia.  In order to maintain the strategic balance of power in Europe, the Chinese PLA, which lacks ground troops, deliberately strengthened the air force of its troops stationed in Europe.  Therefore, the Chinese Air Force stationed in Yugoslavia, Romania and other places is equipped with a large number of fifth-generation main fighters such as the J-1 and J-20.

Before the German-Polish Air Force could gain any advantage over Czechoslovakia, it encountered the Chinese Air Force and suffered heavy losses. However, the U.S. military would not sit idly by and watch German-Polish suffer heavy losses. The U.S. military's European forces gathered the two major powers of Britain and France, plus Denmark.  Second-class powers such as China and the Netherlands formed a joint air force in an attempt to suppress the SCO air force.

Relatively speaking, the air battles in Europe were not as intense as those in the Southwest Pacific and Indian Ocean theaters. Large clusters of air battles did not occur. There were still more 26 fighter jets engaged in small-scale battles with enemy aircraft, but it was magnified to the entire battlefield.  In other words, it is not small.

On the ground battlefield, the German army, which performed well, was also challenged by the Czech Army.  Czechoslovakia purchased a large number of advanced Chinese weapons and built six heavy mechanized brigades. These six heavy mechanized infantry brigades formed the main combat force of the Czechoslovakia Army.

After the initial chaos of the German-Polish invasion, the Czech Army quickly mobilized to attack the German and Polish armies separately.  After continuously seizing Czechoslovak towns, the somewhat aggressive German 2nd Airborne Brigade abandoned the heavy armored units and motorized infantry brigades that were covering them, and launched an offensive first against the important town of Kosice in western Slovakia.

However, this airborne brigade was ambushed by the Czech 6th Heavy Motorized Infantry Brigade outside Kosice.  The German 2nd Airborne Brigade lacked heavy weapons and only had some light towed artillery and a small number of wheeled infantry fighting vehicles. Facing the well-trained VT4 tanks of the Czech 5th Heavy Machinery Infantry Brigade and the onslaught of mechanized infantry, the 2nd Airborne Brigade  Although the airborne brigade put up a very tenacious resistance, it suffered heavy losses and had to retreat for rest and recuperation.

The situation of the Polish army was even worse. When an army division of the Polish army entered the Czech Republic, it encountered a joint attack by the Czechoslovak E-th Heavy Machinery Infantry Brigade. Although the Polish army had made a lot of reinforcements with the help of the United States, it  The long-term chaos and changes in national ideology have made the Polish army's combat effectiveness very poor, and it is unable to fight hard. After encountering a thunderous attack by the Czechoslovakia army, the Polish army division was almost completely annihilated, with more than 1,900 people killed in the entire division.  , more than 3,000 people were captured. What is even more exaggerated is that the fleeing Polish army did not fully gather within a week.

Of course, not all German and Polish troops were defeated. The German Ninth Model Armored Brigade also fought a hard battle with the Czechoslovak First Heavy Infantry Brigade. This was also the case between the German Leopard 6 tanks and the VT produced in China.4 a direct confrontation.  Facts have proved that the Leopard 2 tank is slightly inferior to the VT4 in terms of firepower, mobility and defense, but the gap is not enough to cause a one-sided situation on the battlefield.

The 9th Model Armored Brigade of the German Army had the numerical advantage of tanks. It launched a blitz operation against the 1st Heavy Machinery Infantry Brigade of the Czech Republic. The Czech Mechanized Forces almost failed to withstand it, but the rear command department continuously deployed reserve units to fight to the death.  After resisting the invasion of German armored troops, a rough balance of power was finally maintained on the battlefield.

The German army used more powerful artillery to provide good cover for its armored forces. The Czechoslovak side suffered a lot of damage due to the German artillery fire. However, the Czechoslovak frontline commander who had studied at the China National Defense University fought a very Chinese  At the critical moment, a tank battalion was deployed to penetrate the German flank from the left wing and cut off the German retreat. This gave the conservative Germans a sense of crisis and finally stopped the battle after gaining a certain battlefield advantage.  Retreat from the front lines.

By relying on a dangerous move, the Czechoslovak side held the line and prevented the German army from quickly advancing into Prague, providing time for Czechoslovakia to mobilize and deploy its defense forces.

NATO¡¯s European Theater Command has also seen from these battles that it is impossible to completely subvert Slovakia without launching a large enough force, and a larger round of offensive is brewing.
