After ending its humanitarian relief operations in Rwanda, China entered a long non-war period.  From 1985 to the present, although China has maintained a long-term peace, the Chinese people have not been idle and have fought in many places in the world.  Most of these battles can be based on international law. Although there is room for criticism, the reviews are generally not too bad.  For example, participating in the Russia-related war and the Rwandan genocide saved many lives to a certain extent.  Naturally, China also reaped huge benefits from these wars.

Although after Rwanda, China began an era of no foreign war for many years, in fact, China's strategic expansion has never stopped.  In the past few years, China has built an increasing number of military bases in the Indian Ocean and Western Pacific.

The military bases built on the Indian Ocean coast in Somalia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Myanmar have enabled China to firmly suppress the United States' only Diego Garcia base, becoming the country with the strongest voice in the Indian Ocean and ensuring that  ensure the safety and smooth flow of our own important energy routes.

?????????????????????????????????In addition to the bases on China's mainland, China has also opened a Rabaul base on New Britain Island in the Republic of Papua New Guinea in the South Pacific.  In 1994, the area was destroyed by a volcano. China teamed up with Nanyang to carry out reconstruction work here, and took the opportunity to build a large naval base, which provided a stronghold for Chinese military activities in the South Pacific and heightened the concerns of Australia and the United States.

The Chinese Navy regards Rabaul as one of China's most important naval bases and has carried out extensive construction projects here.  The good port conditions here allow China to park a large aircraft carrier battle group here, and the vast land area makes it easy to build military facilities such as barracks, training grounds, and airports.  Not only the navy is very concerned about Rabaul, but the air force is as well.  The Air Force has also deployed a large number of forces in Rabaul, including two fighter aviation regiments and a bombing aviation regiment. It mainly deploys Tu-22m Backfire bombers here, as well as a few H-8 Thor strategic bombers.

The combat radius of Backfire is enough to cover the Philippines, Guam, Australia and other places. Since these supersonic bombers joined the Chinese Air Force¡¯s combat sequence, they have caused quite a headache for the Americans.  Obviously, China is no worse than the Soviet Union in its ability to utilize bombers. China is equipped with hundreds of bombers, including three types of bombers: Backfire, Thor, and Century. When used together, a well-structured air strike system is formed.

In the northern section of the Western Pacific region, close to the Kamchatka Peninsula in Alaska, the United States, China and the Far East Republic jointly operate a naval base entering and exiting the Pacific. Its main function is to provide the nuclear submarine forces of the two navies with safe access to the deep waters of the Pacific.  In the Western Pacific, China will establish four major submarine attack bases: Kamchatka Base, Taitung Base, Sanya Base and Rabaul Base, thereby carrying out sea-based nuclear deterrence against the United States over a wider area.

The chain of bases formed by China from Kamchatka to Rabaul is either on the mainland or on the islands. It is called the "door lock" by tactical scholars. It protects the entire mainland of China within the door lock and can also attack the United States and Japan.  and other countries pose a huge threat.  The existence of door locks is regarded as a thorn in the flesh by Americans.

In addition to bases in the Indian Ocean and the Western Pacific, China has also opened a number of overseas bases in Africa and Europe, which have huge strategic value.  For example, bases in Angola and Nigeria in West Africa are important strongholds for China to counter the United States and its NATO allies in the Atlantic region.  In Europe, China has also established military bases in the three socialist countries of Eastern Europe, especially the military bases in Yugoslavia, which is a thorn in the throats of NATO and the United States.  Although China's overseas base in Yugoslavia is limited in scale and not as large as Constanta in Romania, as long as it maintains its military presence here, it is enough to make people sleepless.

To be fair, although among the three socialist countries in Eastern Europe, Romania is the only one that can truly be regarded as China's hardcore allies. On the surface, neither Czechoslovakia nor Yugoslavia are completely China's hardcore allies, and they also maintain relatively large autonomy.  Among them, the United States and NATO believe that Czechoslovakia is a force swinging between NATO and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Although this country is still a CP dictatorship, there are still certain democratic forces in the country, and Czechoslovakia, which is inland in Europe, does not dare to easily put itself  Involved in disputes.

From this point of view, Yugoslavia is the country that the West most hopes to win over or defeat. Yugoslavia is highly pro-China and is in the soft underbelly of Europe, which makes all European countries very worried. The Chinese *** team can use Yugoslavia as a  Seesaw, attacking Central and Southern Europe, and even connecting the Middle East and North Africa, will have a major impact on the war situation across the Eurasian continent.

Therefore, since the Clinton administration determined that China and the United States would inevitably have a dispute over world dominance that was no less than the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, in terms of strategic purposes, the United States determined that it would win over Yugoslavia or take it away. The foundation is broken, thereby depriving China of the window to take advantage of this place.  China needs Yugoslavia, and what it needs is a complete and powerful Yugoslavia. If Yugoslavia splits or falls into civil war for various reasons, then even if China is willing to spend money to recover, the results will be minimal.

Even though Clinton kept saying that he would reinvest the energy of the United States into domestic economic construction, Clinton did indeed do so. The U.S. economy has indeed made certain progress since 1993, with an average growth rate of over 4%.  However, the United States will not completely give up its combative side. While China continues to spread its presence around the world, Clinton cannot turn a blind eye.

Yugoslavia soon became a new stage for the secret competition between China and the United States.

In a jungle in Puerto Rico in the Caribbean, Richards, a senior CIA employee, is helping to train a group of armed men.  These militants are all ethnic Albanians from Albania, Kosovo, Greece and other places. These people have a distinctive feature, that is, their radical nationalism.

Richards stood aside and watched the training of this group of relatively young militants. He did not remind or correct anything. He always just said once, can you remember to look at this group of Albanians themselves? Richards  Not interested.  In his view, this group of Albanian armed forces themselves were cannon fodder used to die. As for how many Confederate federal troops they could defeat, Richards was not interested.

Potate, another senior CIA employee, smacked his lips and said: "It has only been three months for these rookies to receive simple military training. It may not be that easy to rely on them to achieve Kosovo's independence.  Although the Yugoslav army has repeatedly disarmed in recent years, they have still introduced a lot of advanced weapons from China, and their combat effectiveness is considered to be not low. And these guys are just a group of stupid young people who have just learned how to shoot, and they firmly believe in the Serbs and Albanians.  The irreconcilable conflict between them did not allow them to defeat the Confederate Army."

Richards smiled and said: "We don't need these idiots to defeat the federal government forces, because that is impossible. What the people in the White House and Pentagon actually need is an excuse. And we will do more  A lot of work to complicate something that was originally very simple.¡±

    Potate asked: "You mean?"

"Yes, several ethnic conflicts have been concocted and the Serbs and Albanians have become irreconcilable and incompatible. At that time, we will use human rights interference as an excuse to issue an ultimatum to Yugoslavia. If Yugoslavia cannot agree to our conditions, we will  Just attack Yugoslavia.¡±

Potate was even more skeptical. He said: "However, it will not be easy for these idiots to really cause trouble in Kosovo. The Yugoslav army is different from the armies of ordinary small countries. I am afraid it only needs one or two battles. This  A group of guys calling themselves the Kosovo Liberation Army were wiped out by government forces. Even if we need excuses, if the KLA cannot sustain it, it will be useless for us to talk about it. Also, I don¡¯t believe you that the higher-ups may consider armed attacks on Yugoslavia.  Yes. There are still Chinese people in Yugoslavia. Can the Chinese just sit back and watch our NATO ships and planes arrive at Yugoslavia¡¯s doorstep without doing anything?¡±

Richards said: "This all needs to be tested. On the surface, there is harmony between China and the United States, but they are constantly testing each other's bottom line. China is constantly expanding its military strength and deploying military bases, and  We also need to know how tough China is. After all, judging from past experience, China is too flexible and not as easy to speculate as the Soviets. I believe there will always be more ways to solve the problems of these rookies.  And you need to know that in Yugoslavia, it¡¯s not just Serbs and Albanians, including Croats, Bosnians, and Slovenes, they are all dissatisfied with the Yugoslavian federal system.¡±

Potate said: "As far as I know, because of the Chinese economic assistance to Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia has come out of the most difficult period. At the beginning, these ethnic groups and regions did have independence plans, but now independence is not possible for them.  They will not gain more from independence, and they will not lose anything if they are not independent. In such a situation, it may not be easy to incite some extreme emotions. "

"My friend, you have to remember that the world is never absolutely black and white. We can turn black into white and white into black. As long as it is necessary, we will do it. Maybe  The locals have no plans to be independent, but we can make them think so!¡±
