To hold a military parade, basically every detail must be planned.  For example, in the live broadcast commentary of the military parade, many of the equipment currently in service by PLA were officially announced, and some thought was needed in the names.  For example, J-10, J-10, 052, 056, etc. Fortunately, the Army's equipment is divided by year. For example, it is only 1989. It is obviously not so reliable to just start with some odd numbers.

In fact, except for a few pieces of equipment within the army, most of them also have their own names.  The official name of the Type 99 main battle tank is the Type 2 main battle tank, but the name 99 tank has been widely spread, and even some foreign industry insiders and military fans know it.  There is even a foreign military magazine that speculated in a serious way about why the Type 2 main battle tank is commonly known as the 99 tank in China. It concluded that the Chinese felt that the Type 2 main battle tank was one point short of perfection, so it was called 99.

The names of some other equipment are basically reduced by 10 or 2 years. The Type 95 automatic rifle is officially called the Type 2 automatic rifle, and the Type 03 automatic rifle becomes the Type 83. Anyway, it is in the same line as the Bayi Bar and is slightly earlier than the 95.  Not surprising.  The Type 05 submachine gun has also become a Type 2 submachine gun, and the Type 04 automatic grenade launcher has become a Type 84 automatic grenade launcher.

Then there are other army armored vehicles. The Type 09 has been completely transformed and is finalized this year, so it is called the Type 8 infantry fighting vehicle. The Type 03 paratrooper fighting vehicle has become the Type 83. The Type 04 tracked infantry fighting vehicle is a copycat of the original BNP-  l's Type 3 infantry fighting vehicle and Type 05 amphibious fighting vehicle became Type 2 amphibious fighting vehicle.  The pL05 156mm self-propelled artillery also defeated the old predecessor pL6, and the pL07 2m self-propelled artillery was the pL87 type.  The 2 mm P0 self-propelled anti-aircraft gun also replaced the original dual 37 mm P-B self-propelled anti-aircraft guns.

So, the equipment has been highly concentrated in recent years, but there is nothing we can do about it.

The troops participating in the Tiananmen Parade have been selected, and then they are gathered together for training.  It can be said that the PLA is the country that pays the most attention to preparations for military parades. In many countries, the preparations for military parades take an entire afternoon and start like a garden party the next day.  When exposed to the scorching sun like PL, the angles of swinging arms and kicking legs must be the same, and the height of each soldier should be uniform. For this reason, he did not hesitate to place books on the soldiers' heads and hang bricks on their calves.

Many people have criticized this as inhumane and formalistic. Broadly speaking, it is not wrong, but it is not a reflection of professionalism and hard work.

Qi Yiming, as the director of the Strategic Security Bureau, is basically just a suggestion and guidance on the military parade. He will not get involved in the specific details.  He has all kinds of things to worry about, both official and private.

Since China applied to the United Nations last year to restart United Nations peacekeeping operations around the world, it has always advocated actively intervening in regional turbulent disputes and sending peacekeeping troops to force both sides to cease fire.  It was around this time that, after protracted debate and planning, the United Nations Security Council finally allowed six countries, led by China, to send more than 2,000 "blue hats" into Cambodia to participate in peacekeeping operations.

Different from the history of another dimension, this peacekeeping operation was carried out four years earlier, and at this time, the Soviet Union had not yet disintegrated, and the Vietnamese had not withdrawn their troops from Cambodia. It can be said that China entered Cambodia under the banner of a United Nations peacekeeping operation. Many analysts and comments  Some people believe that this is a way for China to further attack Vietnam and stabilize its influence in Southeast Asia.

Vietnam has suffered successive attacks from China on land and at sea. It has realized that it is impossible to take advantage of China. Instead, it is worried that its powerful neighbor will use thunderbolt means to uproot them.  In addition, after the Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 166, the pro-China Long March and Nguyen Van Linh came to power, so they gradually reduced their strategic confrontation with China. This year, the Long March also called for learning from China, carrying out reform and opening up, and developing its own economy.  The Communist Party of Vietnam began to actively use various means to communicate to China overtly and covertly, hoping to end the war between China and Vietnam, sign a peace treaty, and even carry out certain economic cooperation.

Because of Qi Yiming's relationship, China is much more flexible in its dealings with Vietnam. Although Vietnam has shown that it wants to make peace, Qi Yiming is not so cheap as to have someone come to the door with just one mouthful. How can he control Vietnam?  The Monkey should have the final say over the Rabbit family. If they want to make peace, they can make peace, and if they want to fight, they can fight. Should they treat the Rabbit family as sparring partners?

Qi Yiming gave several conditions: First, the demarcation of the Beibu Gulf. He did not bully Vietnam too much on this point. It was basically the same as half of the demarcation in the other plane. There was another little thought here. In fact, the ocean  The utilization depends entirely on the control of sea power.  Even if Chinese fishermen cross the border, will the Vietnamese dare to control it?  The small broken boat came up, and the Chinese law enforcement ship appeared immediately. Will the Vietnamese take care of it or not?  Qi Yiming's South China Sea strategy intends to compress Vietnam's maritime strategic space. These are soft issues and do not need to be solved through demarcation, otherwise it will look ugly and affect its image.

Like the United States, the territorial sea is only three nautical miles, which seems to be at a disadvantage. In fact, the United States has strong maritime power and the high seas are their playground, so the size of the territorial sea does not mean much to them.  Qi Yiming also paid such attention.

During the demarcation process, Qi Yiming also made a new request, which is to let Vietnam hand over Fushuizhou Island (Bailongwei).Come.  In 1957, the Tu family handed over Fushuizhou Island to Vietnam for management. However, at that time, Vietnam was still North Vietnam, a little brother supported by China. At that time, the so-called enthusiasm for the international communist movement was somewhat dizzy, such as letting Bailongwei be given to Vietnam.  , give half of the Changbai Tianchi to North Korea and so on.  To put it simply, the revolutionary enthusiasm and comradeship are so deep that we forget that Marx told us to look at things from a development perspective.  Just because it was good then, doesn't mean it will be good in the future.

This request obviously makes Vietnam very unhappy, but if you think about it, they have already lost a lot of things, including all the islands and reefs they occupy in the South China Sea and the territorial boundaries between the two mountains.  By the way, if they don't give it, the Tu family will have a whim and send some troops to occupy Fushuizhou Island, and Vietnam will still be unable to say anything.

Another requirement is that Vietnam recognizes China¡¯s territorial sovereignty over islands and maritime economic sovereignty within the nine-dash line.  This condition is basically the same as taking away the white dragon tail above, but the loss is huge if calculated.  Vietnam can no longer make any claims to sovereignty over the Paracel Islands and Nansha Islands, and they are not allowed to conduct any economic activities within the nine-dash line.

The legal validity of the nine-dash line is now limited to Vietnam, the last link.  Malaysia was beaten to the point of being irrelevant, and the new Nanyang Republic was naturally recognized as a younger brother, and the family shared it reasonably. The Philippines, after being pressured by the United States and casually dismissed by China, withdrew from Nansha and Zhongsha, although reluctantly.  But I also pinched my nose and recognized something like the nine-dash line.  Only Vietnam, a relevant country that is still at war, has not recognized the nine-dash line.

Once this is completed, the nine-dash line will be completely stabilized.

There are not many conditions, there are only three in total, but except for the first requirement, Vietnam can reluctantly accept it, and the latter two requirements are to cut out the meat from the Vietnamese monkeys.  Perhaps today's Vietnam does not have the ability to utilize the South China Sea, but Vietnam, with its long and narrow territory and lack of resources, without the pillars of the South China Sea, will inevitably remain a third-rate small country forever.

Even if Long March and others are pro-China, they will never dare to sell out national interests in exchange for peace, otherwise the Viet Cong will not want to hang around in the future.

At this time, Qi Yiming began to use various necessary strategies to put pressure on Vietnam.  The Chinese peacekeeping troops' march into Cambodia is actually a blow to Vietnam's flank.  Although it did not send many troops, China came with "great righteousness". The banner of the United Nations was really useful, and it also attracted several other countries to follow it in peacekeeping.

At the beginning, Qi Yiming was also very surprised that the Cambodian peacekeeping operation could be approved, because according to the rules, the approval of the peacekeeping operation required the approval of 9 of the 15 members of the United Nations Security Council, and none of the five gangsters objected.  The Soviet Union was still there at this time, and Vietnam was still an ally of the Soviet Union. Qi Yiming believed that the Soviet Union was still very likely to veto this plan that was not beneficial to Vietnam.  Who would have known that Gossip's Soviet Union was still playing the role of a thief and actually abstained from voting on this matter, and the Cambodian peacekeeping operation was successfully passed.

By the way, regarding the Cambodian issue, the United Nations General Assembly also issued a resolution requiring Vietnam to withdraw its troops from Cambodia, negotiate within Cambodia, reach reconciliation, and form a new government.  Vietnam has been slow to issue any response, while China has been vigorously and resolutely setting up the structure of the peacekeeping force.

Peacekeeping operations have two main characteristics: one is non-mandatory and the other is clear neutrality.  But at this point, it's hard to really maintain it completely.  If the host country requires the peacekeeping troops to withdraw, the peacekeeping troops must respect the country's sovereignty and withdraw.  Of course, there is other room for maneuver here. For example, if the current Cambodian government is not recognized by the United Nations, then even if they ask for the withdrawal of peacekeeping troops, the United Nations can pretend that they have not heard it.  The already unsustainable puppet Cambodian government still agreed to peacekeeping operations and hoped to achieve ceasefire and reconciliation. Vietnam is still struggling not to know what to do.

The six-nation joint peacekeeping force escorted and carried by the Chinese navy quickly landed in Cambodia without encountering resistance from local armed forces. The peacekeeping force established a peacekeeping force headquarters in Kampong Som (later renamed Sihanoukville).  China has sent the largest number of troops, with 2,000. Other countries such as Canada, Pakistan, and Brazil have sent as many as hundreds to as few as dozens of troops.  Not only did China send a large number of troops, but it also brought some weapons that were beyond conventional weapons, so everyone just turned a blind eye.

The Blue Helmets are mainly equipped with China's foreign trade weapons. They carry 6 6-type VN2 armored personnel carriers and even 6 -1-type 10m assault guns (equipped with the eight-wheel chassis of the 09 infantry combat foreign trade model VNl  10m main gun assault gun), hundreds of Dongfeng Warrior military off-road vehicles, and some engineering vehicles and trucks.

"The Chinese peacekeeping forces, which are well-equipped and have excellent combat capabilities, are actually unable to take the initiative to attack any party. Their main tasks are deterrence, mediation, and supervision.
