The Vietnamese's carefully planned sneak attack was unexpectedly shot down before it even flew into the territory of China. This also gave Vietnam great fear.  Fortunately, China has no intention of bombing their capital, Hanoi, with planes. However, the Chinese fighter jets are powerful enough for the PLA to complete this task. Therefore, the nature of the matter is that China has this ability, and it depends on whether it has the will.

"Just like Qi Yiming's era, no matter whether China wants to seek hegemony or not, as long as it has the ability or potential to push the US emperor down from its position of hegemony, the US emperor will be very nervous and use all means to contain it.  Therefore, many issues in international politics have nothing to do with subjective factors.  Politicians are a bunch of insecure old men!

In order to solve the serious imbalance in air force strength (there seems to be no imbalance in other services), Vietnam¡¯s Minister of Defense Moon Tien Dung specifically expressed to the Air Force Commissioner Voroshilov of the Soviet Military Advisory Group that Vietnam needs more socialist big brother  Aid and support the Vietnamese people in resisting the unjust revisionist forces and regaining the land that belongs to them.

It was only in May of this year that Gorbachev, the map leader who was said to be the main culprit for the collapse of the Soviet Union and the country, took office. A group of Soviet officials, big and small, surrounding the map leader were all a little bit crazy.  Wen Jinyong's request reached the Soviet Foreign Minister Shevardnadze. The foreign minister responded relatively coldly and just said that he would think about it first.

Shevardnadze was a Georgian who eventually became the president of Georgia after the collapse of the Soviet Union.  He served as Georgia's first secretary in the 1970s and established a reputation for clean government by fighting corruption.  When he was the Foreign Minister of the Soviet Union, he was among the group of people who most supported the new thinking of Map Brain.  During this period, the Soviet Union actually implemented its own policy of non-interference, allowing the West to come in and out of Eastern Europe and engage in peaceful evolution.  When the ruling parties in Eastern Europe relied on the Soviet Union to take tough measures to fight back against Western infiltration in order to suppress the democratization movement sweeping Eastern Europe, he actually refused to intervene on behalf of the Soviet Union, which ultimately led to the discoloration of Eastern Europe.  One of his oft-quoted quotes is: "We must now realize that socialism, goodwill, neighborliness and mutual respect cannot be achieved with bayonets, tanks and blood."

This lunatic was ultimately brought down by corruption while in office and maintained power through electoral fraud.  It is particularly ironic to think that he was promoted because of his anti-corruption and praised by Western observers for promoting democratization.

The Vietnamese still don¡¯t fully understand what the Soviet Union will look like in the future, but they still caught the cold attitude of the Soviet Foreign Minister.  Just when the Vietnamese were disappointed and desperate, someone rescued them.

This person is Kordunov, the current commander of the Soviet Home Defense Air Force.  It should be said that people like Map Head and Shevardnadze no longer care about guns and blood and are dedicated to reform. This air force combat hero who came from the Patriotic War always maintains a fighting mentality.

Since Chinese fighter jets repeatedly shot down Vietnamese Soviet fighter jets, and the Chinese-made FC-1 repeatedly shot down Iraqi Soviet fighter jets during the Iran-Iraq war, the commander of the Homeland Defense Air Force has become concerned about the situation of the Chinese Air Force.  For curiosity.  However, due to the long-term feud with China and the large racial gap between the two countries, it is difficult to carry out intelligence work. Regarding China's new fighters, including the FC-1, and the fighter-bomber Flying Leopard that the outside world has already learned about, it is even easy to spread to the outside world.  Looking at a medium-sized advanced air superiority fighter for China's own use, he wanted to know the difference between these fighters and the Soviet Union's current main MiG-29, MiG-31 and Su-27.

In fact, the news about the J-10 did not come from the Vietnamese at all, but from the Pakistanis and Iranians.  The Iranians have never seen the J-10, but they have heard that the FC-1 is a product developed by the Chinese based on their own fighter technology. The Pakistan Air Force has watched the flight of the J-10 at close range, but was warned  Don't reveal too much.

As for the Vietnamese, it was even more miserable. They had several air battles with the PLA Air Force Rabbit. Whenever the J-10 took action, none of their fighters could escape. During the air battle, the Electric Flying Leopard, which was a guest electronic attack aircraft, interfered with the Vietnamese.  The communication made it impossible for them to hear what the downed pilot said from behind.  Even if the pilots were shot down in their own country, they were inexplicably abducted by Chinese special forces.  Therefore, the Vietnamese themselves are not sure whether China has a second fighter jet besides the Flying Leopard.

Kordunov is not very interested in supporting the Vietnamese, but he is very interested in understanding the level of Chinese fighter jets.  Although the contradiction between China and the Soviet Union was less structural, it was still quite acute.  If China had the ability to suppress Soviet fighter jets, it would be absolutely unacceptable and dangerous for the Soviet Union.

Therefore, the Air Marshal single-handedly pushed the Soviet Union to lease four MiG-25 fighter jets to Vietnam.

MiG-25?It was developed in the early 1960s, mainly to deal with the XB-70 bomber and SR-71 "Blackbird" high-altitude and high-speed reconnaissance aircraft that the United States was developing at the time. The speed of both aircraft exceeded Mach 3, and their ceilings were relatively high.  High, ordinary interceptor aircraft such as the MiG-21, although they claim to be high-altitude and high-speed, are still unable to compete with these fighters.

In order to intercept these high-altitude and high-speed American reconnaissance aircraft and bombers, the Soviets developed this aircraft with a speed of Mach 3 and an altitude of 30,000 meters. The interceptor model MiG-25P and the reconnaissance model MiG-25R are mainly in service.  In order to be able to achieve such a high flight speed, this aircraft has put a lot of thought into aerodynamics: it uses a medium swept upper monoplane with a sweep angle of 42¡ã, a dihedral angle of 5¡ã, a relative thickness of 4%, and an aspect ratio of 3  . 2. Wing area 61.9 square meters.  The rectangular binary air inlet is adjusted with a horizontal adjustment ramp, so air intake is from both sides.  In order to ensure directional stability, double vertical fins and tail pelvic fins were used, and later the vertical fins and pelvic fins were made smaller.

Once the MiG-25 came out, it greatly shocked the West. The West once believed that the Soviet aviation industry had reached an extremely high level. The MiG-25 set 16 world flight records from 1965 to 1973, showing a double triple (Mach 3  \/30,000 meters) super performance.  It was not until 1976 when a Soviet pilot Belenko defected to Japan in a MiG-25 that the West breathed a sigh of relief.  It does not use any extremely high-tech materials, but is an aircraft made of 70% stainless steel.  There are still many backward electronic tubes in avionics, and the problem of flight stability has not been solved.  The interceptor model MiG-25P cannot fly above Mach 3 like the MiG-25R, and generally reaches a maximum speed of Mach 2.8. At this time, the weapons it carries will tremble.

But even so, the Americans admit that by putting together such a bunch of backward things, they can create a fighter jet that has repeatedly set records and has many achievements. The Soviets' system integration capabilities are also worthy of recognition.  Later, there was a management term called the "Mig-25 effect", which means using bad parts to make relatively good things.

Although the Soviet Homeland Defense Force now has its own MiG-29 and MiG-31, the MiG-25 is still a fairly advanced fighter. The Soviet Union would never actively assist such a high-performance fighter before it offered assistance.  , it cannot be exchanged without real money and silver.

Now in order to find out the level of Chinese fighter jets, the Soviet Union not only leased four MiG-25s from Vietnam with loans, but also sent Soviet pilots to fly them in combat. The actual idea is self-evident, that is, it hopes to let the Soviet Union itself  Pilots who compete with the Chinese can get first-hand information.

During this period, the Soviet Union still had very close contacts with Vietnam. The Pacific Fleet was stationed in Cam Ranh Bay, and it was relatively easy to transport things to Vietnam.  The four MiG-25s departed from Vladivostok, were put on cargo ships, and took the sea route along the coast of China to the Haiphong Port in Vietnam.

As a pilot, the Soviet Air Force officer who commanded these four fighter jets at the same time was named Malenkov. He was a soldier of short stature but with a good temper.

"Hell, the weather here is too hot. If it weren't for the mission assigned by the superiors, I wouldn't want to come and stay here!" Malenkov complained arrogantly to the Vietnamese foreign affairs personnel responsible for receiving him.

For these uncles who fight for themselves, Vietnamese foreign affairs personnel must take good care of them. Even if they let them be their grandchildren, they have to pretend to be like them.

"Hey, do you have any vodka here? The stronger, the better!" Malenkov hugged his comrades and said to the Vietnamese.

The Vietnamese foreign affairs officer was sweating profusely and said: "We don't have vodka here"

"What? Aren't our Soviet Red Army stationed here? How could there be no vodka? Do you want to embarrass our martyrs who support you in fighting the Chinese?" Malenkov took off his hat.

"Uh, no, no, your comrades are all in Cam Ranh Bay. This is Haiphong"

"I don't care where you are, if you don't have vodka, come to another bar!"

¡°Okay, okay, our Vietnamese rice wine is very fragrant, you will definitely like it.¡±

One of Malenkov's comrades chuckled and said to Malenkov: "Colonel, it's boring to have too much wine. Maybe we should find a few beautiful girls to do a dance for us."

Malenkov laughed loudly, pointed at the foreign affairs officer and said: "Did you hear that, comrades in Vietnam, our combatants need to maintain combat effectiveness and need mental and physical pleasure. I think for your victory against the Chinese, you will not  I would refuse such a reasonable request.¡±

The foreign affairs officer was unhappy, but he had no choice but to deal with it: "Okay, okay, I'll report it to my superiors and arrange it for a few comrades"

Seeing the hunched yellow-skinned monkey retreating, Malenkov couldn't help but laugh with his comrades: "It's just our 'colony'"They are just slaves who can provide us with some food and women. Let us leave things like fighting to our Slavic fighting nation!  "
