Gunshots also rang out in waves around Buckingham Palace. The Royal Guards, wearing red military uniforms and bearskin hats, were exchanging fire with armed men of unknown origin. The sky was pitch black and they were standing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.  , only strings of fire can be seen flying back and forth in the air at extremely fast speeds.  :3w. Farther away in London's business district and financial district, raging fires were already burning, and the flames even lit up half of the night sky. From time to time, explosions and shouts of death came from there.

"Oh God! I destroyed this country" Victoria stood barefoot on the balcony, looking at the fire in the distance and the fierce battle scene in the square in front of Buckingham Palace, her whole body trembled unconsciously.

A bullet came from nowhere and hit the railing of the balcony where Victoria was standing. After flying such a long distance, the bullet was powerless and just hit the granite railing with a soft sound, leaving behind a  Less conspicuous white spots.

Victoria did not move, but Prince Albert behind him was startled and quickly stepped forward to pull his wife into the house.  Victoria threw herself into her husband's arms and burst into tears.  The room was lit with candles. Except for Princess Victoria who married to Germany, Princess Alice who married to Hesse, and Princess Helena who married Zhu Guojie, all of Victoria's children were in this room.  The two princesses, Princess Louise and Princess Beatrice, were sobbing softly, while King Edward VII and his brothers were all dressed in military uniforms and trying to remain calm.

"Where is the Prime Minister? Isn't he here yet?" Albert asked anxiously.

"Not yet, Your Highness," Palace Butler John Brown replied, "Randolph Churchill's office just called. He said that the Prime Minister is on his way to Buckingham Palace."

Albert nodded.  Looking out the window at the British capital where fighting was taking place.  He muttered in a low voice: "I hope that fat man won't be beaten to death by the thugs After all, he is the most comfortable in dealing with matters in India!"

Robert Churchill¡¯s convoy is moving forward despite the hail of bullets shot from unknown places.  Since the outbreak of the World War, many factories in London's industrial areas have switched to the production of guns and ammunition. I don't know how many weapons have flowed out of these factories and fallen into the hands of the rioters these days. They have all been used by them tonight!  Moreover, many armies that have entered London to enforce martial law have been infiltrated by rioters. Now they are fighting fiercely in the streets of London with some army officers and soldiers who are still loyal to their duties!

The glass of Prime Minister Churchill¡¯s carriage has been completely shattered, the coachman was beaten to death, and now the pale-faced Prime Minister¡¯s secretary is driving.  Fortunately, a cavalry company assigned to Robert Churchill's King's Blue Regiment (one of the three cavalry regiments of the Royal Guards) was still loyal to its duty.  Along the way, they used sabers and carbines to disperse several groups of thugs, and escorted the Prime Minister's motorcade to the vicinity of Buckingham Palace.

The fighting near Buckingham Palace is of course the most intense. The most important places in London are Buckingham Palace, Whitehall Street and Downing Street.  As long as these three places are controlled, the British reactionary regime will have to retreat from London with its tail between its legs.  As for London's huge industrial areas and slums, they have long been under the control of thugs - when the war to defend the pound failed and British capitalists fled with their money, a large number of factories, including factories that can produce weapons and ammunition, fell into the hands of workers.  In hand!

After exchanging fire with a small group of thugs wearing overalls, the convoy rushed out at a turn and turned around a street that had not yet been set up with roadblocks.  On the road leading to Buckingham Palace.  There were fireballs rising from time to time around the palace with white granite exterior walls. It was the warring parties bombarding each other with mortars!  On the square in front of the palace.  Many obstacles have been piled up urgently.  Groups of Royal Guard officers and soldiers were hiding behind the obstacles, at least thousands of them.  Fighting against an unknown number of thugs.  Seeing the cavalry of the King's Blue Regiment escorting several carriages, a group of Royal Guardsmen immediately charged, forcing back the poorly organized armed thugs, and escorted Prime Minister Churchill into Buckingham Palace.

"Prime Minister, what is the current situation? Can London be saved?"

As soon as Robert Churchill entered the splendid audience hall, he saw King Edward VII of England coming up to him angrily, and he immediately asked.

"Your Majesty, the cabinet hopes that you will leave the capital immediately. The Royal Cruise Ship Britannia and the escort fleet are ready and ready to go at any time!" Robert Churchill said in a solemn tone that he had already prepared an escape suggestion - London is actually not  It can't be saved. There are still a lot of troops loyal to the king.  But what about after London is saved?  How to clean up this mess in the British Empire?

??????????? Militarily a complete defeat, and economically a complete collapse This country has gone from being a rich country with large colonies and strong industrial strength before the war to becoming aThe result is a poor country with a collapsed economy, bankrupt factories and a starving working class everywhere!

And unlike the Roman Empire on the other side of the strait, which had a large middle-peasant class, the class differentiation in Britain during this era was very serious, and the entire country was a big slum.  In addition to the bourgeoisie and middle class of hundreds of thousands of people, there is the proletariat who have nothing and can only live by selling their labor power. Although their income before the war was no lower than that of workers in Rome and Germany, once they lose their jobs, they will  Everything is lost!  The entire UK also lost the basis for maintaining stability - the UK does not have a large class of yeoman farmers, and most of the country's land is controlled by about 10,000 large landowners!

In the past, when Britain still had large tracts of uncultivated colonies, most civilians who lost their jobs during each economic crisis would travel across the ocean to find new lives and opportunities in the rich colonies.  But now, there is no place to absorb them, and there are too many poor British people who have lost their jobs and cannot make ends meet!  And most of the officers and soldiers of the British Empire Army are from the working class If the government cannot come up with a solution to the current difficult situation, suppression alone will not last long.

"Your Majesty, please take the royal family members and leave immediately!" Robert Churchill looked at the dazed king and suggested loudly again, "If the dock is captured by thugs, we will have no way to leave!"

As if to prove what Robert Churchill said, a violent explosion suddenly came from the direction of the Thames. Several huge pillars of fire rose into the night sky, and the entire city of London trembled.  The gunfire in the fierce battle outside Buckingham Palace paused for a moment.  Everyone looked at the spectacular sight of the naval gun suddenly firing as if possessed.

"Oh God! The navy is bombarding London with 16-inch cannons again! How could they do this" The king suddenly understood what was happening and roared violently.

"We're not bombarding the city, we're bombarding the forts on the Thames River!" Robert Churchill said angrily, "One of the forts must have fallen into the hands of the thugs! Your Majesty, if you don't leave, I'm afraid you won't be able to leave!"

Edward VII¡¯s pale face had no trace of blood left. He turned back to look at his father who was still calm.  Prince Albert nodded and said to Robert Churchill: "Let's go, let's go now!" Then he softly comforted Victoria, who was sobbing in his arms, "There is nothing to be sad about, we have done our best for this country."  With all our strength, even if we go to India now, it is for this countryI believe that the British people will understand sooner or later what a valuable asset we have reserved for them!¡±

Victoria smiled bitterly, "Then let's leave quickly and don't let the British people suffer more for us I hope this revolution can give Britain a new life."

In the early morning of August 10, 1877, King Edward VII of the United Kingdom led the royal family and cabinet dignitaries to board the cruise ship Britannia under the protection of the Royal Guard, and then left along the Thames River under the escort of several warships and transport ships.  London, and then sailed into the vast North Sea.  With their departure, the British Empire, which was once flourishing, came to an end.

"A revolution has occurred in Britain! The whereabouts of the royal family and cabinet are unknown! The English Revolutionary Committee has announced that it will take over power"

When the news reached Yingtian, Zhu Jishi had just finished lunch.  In the summer of this era (Britain has daylight saving time), the time difference between London and London is 7 hours.  In other words, Jin Yiwei's information was very timely this time.

"Have the British royal family and cabinet escaped?" Zhu Jishi looked at Kusumoto Takako and asked.

"There is no specific news. I only know that a small fleet including the battleship Hood left London last night."

"They have left!" Maria Clementina, who was accompanying Zhu Jishi for dinner, breathed a sigh of relief, "Now it depends on where they are going?"

"Of course it's New Japan!" Zhu Jishi smiled, "Where else could it be? I gave India to Victoria This is quite a wealthy territory!"

"Your Majesty, Britain has collapsed now," said the Majesty Queen Luo Xiangmei with a smile, "Now our Greater China should be able to sit back and relax, right?"

"Sit back and relax? I'm afraid it's not that good! New and more dangerous enemies have appeared in Europe and America. They are enemies more dangerous than the British Empire and even the Roman Empire! If we cannot always stay vigilant, we will follow the British Empire  "Zhu Jishi said with a gloomy face, and then gave an order to Kusumoto Takako, "Hang up the phone to the Forbidden City and ask the emperor to come to the Hot Spring Palace before dinner. I want to discuss things with him." (To be continued.  Please search Piaotian Literature, the novels will be better and updated faster!
