On October 14, 1911, on the recommendation of Yi Kuang, Xu Shichang, and Na Tong, the regent Wang Zaifeng was appointed. Yuan Shikai, who was deposed two years ago and was currently recovering from illness, was appointed as the governor of Huguang. Yuan Tuo was ill and could not leave.  Hunan became independent on October 22, and Jiujiang, Jiangxi became independent on October 23. The Qing court was in danger.

On October 27, the imperial court appointed Yuan Shikai as the Imperial Envoy to lead the Beiyang Army to attack Wuhan. Lao Yuan personally went to Hubei to supervise the army.  On November 1, the regent Zaifeng was forced to dissolve the royal cabinet and appointed Lao Yuan as the prime minister to form the cabinet.

In the game, as usual in history, Lao Yuan has taken to the highest stage, and many players who participated in the Wuchang Uprising have changed their attitudes.  The next four years will be Lao Yuan's world. After Lao Yuan's death, Beiyang will be in power. It will be more promising to hang out with Beiyang in the next ten years than with the revolutionary party.

Players are divided into two groups. One group receives tasks from Huang Xing to help defend Hankou, and the other group asks Lao Yuan to receive tasks to attack.  The players on both sides were evenly matched, but the strength of the Beiyang army was obviously stronger than that of the rebel forces. Hankou fell under the fierce attack of Beiyang.

The number of troops in the game does not completely refer to history. After all, there are too many players. If there are only six towns in Beiyang, the NPCs will not be able to control the situation.  When Yuan Shikai came out again, there were 14 towns in Beiyang. Including the imperial guards, Lao Yuan had as many as 18 towns.

Of course, the system did not unilaterally enhance Lao Yuan's power. The Revolutionary Party's NPC troops also tripled, but they are no match for Beiyang.  Lao Yuan was very clever. After capturing Hankou, he stood still.  Secretly negotiated peace with the Southern Revolutionary Party.  At the same time, Lao Yuan began to deal with the powerful aristocrats of the Qing Dynasty. On December 6, he forced Prince Chun Zaifeng to resign as regent of the country.  Retreat to the mansion.

On December 16, Yuan Shikai transferred Feng Guozhang to succeed the President of the Imperial Guard and relieved Liangbi from the position of First Coordinator of the Imperial Guard; he transferred the Imperial Guard artillery to support the encirclement and suppression of the Shanxi Revolutionary Army and disperse the strength of the Imperial Guard; he also used the troops preparing for the expedition.  In name, the imperial guards were transferred out of the city, and Duan Zhigui was sent to form another imperial guard to station in the capital. The capital was completely controlled by Lao Yuan.

Yuan Shikai only controlled five provinces: Zhili, Henan, Gansu, Shanxi, and Shandong. However, a total of 13 provinces including Hubei, Hunan, Shaanxi, Jiangxi, Yunnan, Jiangsu, Guizhou, Zhejiang, Anhui, Guangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, and Sichuan declared independence.  It seems that Lao Yuan is at a disadvantage, but this is not the case at all.  Because he has the most elite Beiyang Fourteenth Town in China.

The most critical thing is that the southern provinces are in disarray. The top leaders of the Revolutionary Party are unable to unite the provinces, and there are also divisions within the Alliance.  Except for a few staunch revolutionaries, many revolutionaries advocated handing over power to Yuan Shikai, and more and more people were compromising.

Players also saw signs that the plot of Yuan Shikai's coming to power could not change, so more and more people chose to side with Beiyang.  At this time, Chen Hao received a personal letter from Yuan Shikai.  In the letter, Lao Yuan reviewed the friendship between the two, and then expressed tactfully that he hoped Mr. Chen would be on his side.

Of course, Lao Yuan was not naive enough to think that he could get Mr. Chen¡¯s support out of thin air. He promised to make Mr. Chen the Minister of War once he came to power.  Chen Hao was not a staunch revolutionary to begin with. He never broke up with Lao Yuan, but he was just waiting for a price when he was preparing for the Revolution of 1911.

He quickly wrote back to Yuan Shikai, also euphemistically expressing his lack of ability.  Unqualified for the post of Secretary of War.  Many of the southwest provinces are his old subordinates, and the navy has been pulling them up hand and foot. I really can't bear to leave him alone. It would be great if he could serve as the governor of the southwest and minister of the navy.

After receiving Chen Hao's reply, Yuan Shikai sneered: "Chen Baxian has a really big appetite. He wants to be the local overlord in the southwest. He also wants to legitimately control the navy. How can such a good thing happen?"

Xu Shichang shook his head and said: "Chen Baxian actually controls the navy. There is nothing wrong with him being the minister of the navy, but his appetite for the four southwestern provinces is too much."

Chen Hao controls 90% of China's navy. Lao Yuan promised him the position of Army Minister, but in fact he had bad intentions.  The Secretary of the Army seems to be more important than the Secretary of the Navy, but the troops in the southern provinces will not obey his orders at all, and the six towns in Beiyang will not obey his orders.  Lao Yuan had a wishful thinking. He asked Chen Hao to serve as the Minister of Army, and then appointed his confidant as the Minister of the Navy, hoping to seize the navy from Chen Hao's hands.

Even if Chen Hao really becomes the Minister of the Army, it is impossible for the Navy to be won over by Lao Yuan, because he has top-notch imperial mental skills.  However, he was not interested in the Minister of War. If he had the title of Governor of the Southwest, he would have a much better future after occupying Sichuan and controlling the four provinces and becoming a big warlord than being the Minister of War in the capital.

Xu Shichang said with some worry: "Sir, if Chen Baxian sides with the Revolutionary Party, the navy he controls is the biggest capital. With the support of the Navy, the Revolutionary Party will not easily agree to your terms, which will be detrimental to your plans."

Yuan Shikai also had a big headache. He waved his hands and said: "Let Chen Baxian dry it out first! There is really no way to take the exam again."Consider his conditions.  "

Lao Yuan soon could no longer afford to ignore Lord Chen. The Beiyang Navy, which attacked Wuchang in mid-November, announced its annexation to the Nanyang Navy anyway.  Navy Admiral Sa Zhenbing and Li Yuanhong were teachers and students, and Fleet Staff Tang Xiangming and Wuchang Uprising hero Tang Hualong were brothers, so they agreed to the uprising under the persuasion of the Revolutionary Party.

In mid-November, Beiyang ships sailed from Wuchang to Jiujiang. Sa Zhenbing claimed to be ill and left the ship to go to Shanghai for treatment. Huang Zhongying was appointed fleet commander. Lin Sen in Jiujiang persuaded the fleet to formally declare an uprising.  It is not surprising that the Navy supports the revolutionary party Lao Yuan, but it is really strange that Li Yuanhong of Hubei and Li Liejun of Jiangxi instigated the rebellion of the Navy but gave it to Chen Baxian to command.

Yuan Shikai was suddenly surprised. If Li Yuanhong, Li Liejun and Chen Baxian formed a secret alliance, Chen Baxian's influence would be too great.  Lao Yuan became entangled. He was unwilling to agree to let Chen Baxian become the governor of the southwest and control the four provinces. If he didn't agree, he was afraid that he would support the revolutionary party.

Chen Hao would not care about Lao Yuan's feelings. He made a high-profile invitation to Sa Zhenbing to continue serving as the admiral of the Beiyang Navy, saying that Nanyang would assign two battleships, four battlecruisers and ten armored cruisers to Beiyang's command.  The new Beiyang Fleet is no weaker than the Nanyang Navy, and is countless times more powerful than the previous Beiyang Fleet.

Tang Xiangming and Huang Zhongying have also been reused. The former officers of the Beiyang Navy have almost remained unchanged. These naval officers were deeply moved by Mr. Chen's trust.  Under Li Yuanhong's persuasion, Sa Zhenbing agreed to retake the post of commander of the Beiyang Fleet, and led the Beiyang Fleet northward to "defend the capital" in accordance with Lord Chen's orders.

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Chen Hao dared to appoint Beiyang Navy officials boldly and was not afraid of their betrayal.  Even if Sa Zhenbing and others really had bad ideas, the captains of the warships he sent to Beiyang were all his confidants, and Sa Zhenbing and others could not command them.

The Beiyang Fleet's "protection of the capital" was actually putting pressure on Lao Yuan. The territory controlled by Lao Yuan was not as good as that of the Revolutionary Party. If the navy transported the troops of the Revolutionary Party to land in the north, Lao Yuan would no longer have any advantage.  After the Beiyang Fleet entered Yingkou Port and was stationed, Lao Yuan immediately sent a message to Chen Hao and agreed to his terms of serving as the Southwest Governor and Minister of the Navy.

The game time entered 1912. On January 22, Sun Yat-sen issued a statement that as long as Yuan Shikai agreed to abdicate the Qing emperor, he would resign and give way to Yuan Shikai.  After Yuan Shikai received the guarantee, he stepped up the process of forcing the palace. He lobbied and bribed Prince Qing Yikuang and Na Tong, bribed Zhang Lande, the favored eunuch around Queen Mother Longyu, with money, and threatened Queen Mother Longyu, saying that the situation was over and that if the revolutionary army came to Beijing, the royal family would not be safe.  , if you agree to give up your seat, you can have preferential treatment conditions.

On January 22, the British Minister Juldian, together with the French, Russian and Japanese ministers, declared in favor of the Qing Dynasty and abdication; on January 26, under the instruction of Yuan Shikai, Duan Qirui led 47 Beiyang generals to jointly send a telegram to the cabinet, the Ministry of War and the princes and ministers.  It was proposed that the civilian army had agreed to preferential treatment conditions for the Qing royal family, the royal family and the Manchu, Mongolian, Hui and Tibetan ethnic groups, and requested the imperial court to issue an edict declaring the establishment of a republican system of government at home and abroad.

After Chen Hao received Yuan Shikai's promise, he began to focus on Sichuan. The key to becoming the king of southwest China was to win Sichuan.  What Yuan Shikai could give him after taking office was only in name, and he still needed to grab the territory himself, so he was prepared to act in advance.

Historically, when the Sichuan Military Government of the Han Dynasty was established, due to Pu Dianjun's compromise with Zhao Erfeng, the military governments of Yunnan, Guizhou, Hunan and other provinces believed that the Sichuan Military Government was the "Gelaohui government".  The provinces do not recognize the Sichuan Military Government and believe that the Chongqing Shu Military Government is the revolutionary government and the only legitimate government in Sichuan.

Cai E, the governor of the Yunnan military government, even wrote to the Hubei military government, hoping to unite to attack Chengdu.  The Shu military government also invited Yunnan and Guizhou to send troops to support the crusade against the Sichuan military government.  In the game, Cai E did not become the governor of Yunnan, but served as the military affairs minister of the Guizhou military government and accepted the command of Xu Xilin.  However, Liu Zixuan, the governor of Yunnan, and Xu Xilin, the governor of Guizhou, accepted the invitation of the Shu military government at the instruction of Chen Hao and sent troops to Sichuan at the same time.

The two main divisions in Guizhou were once again divided into two groups. The second division entered Xuyongting, Sichuan from Renhuai in the north of Guizhou; the third division entered Xuzhou Prefecture from Dongchuan Prefecture in Yunnan, connecting Kepingshan, Hengjiang Town, and Anbianpu.  As far as Yibin.  Bai Huhu, the governor of southern Sichuan, appealed to Chengdu and asked Yin Changheng and Luo Lun to send more reinforcements, otherwise they would not be able to defend the two mansions.

Yin Changheng and Luo Lun were very wary of the army coming from Yunnan and Guizhou. They assembled a force of 12,000 people and marched to Luzhou Mansion, giving the order to Bai Huhu Monster to defend.  After the arrival of 12,000 people, the first order given by Bai Huhu Monster was to hand over the weapons to the arsenal, arrange defensive positions, and then redistribute them.

The 12,000 reinforcements were confused about this order, but Baihuhu Yaoyou was the commander, and they did not dare to disobey the order.  After confiscating the weapons, Bai Huhu evildoer immediately ordered three thousand confidant troops to surround the twelve thousand people, and announced that Luzhou Prefecture and Xuzhou Prefecture would support the Yunnan-Guizhou coalition forces in their crusade against the "Gelaohui government" in Chengdu.
